  • Effective management of ULD (Unit Load Device) in Air Cargo Transportation is one of the Airline's main concerns. At present, the way of management of ULD which has the ID tag based on RFID is carried by cargo control staff with PDA. However, the activity of ULD management is limitted due to complexity of cargo terminal facilities. In this study, we offer the effective way of management of ULD by the DRONE equipped by LED-ID & RFID READER at the higher altitude in Air Cargo Terminal to recover the difficulty of identification due to complexity of terminal facilities. Further to the above, we suggest the operational effectiveness, limitation, and the direction of future research.

  • The role of information systems(IS) is far more important in business operations today. Managers recognize information as a major resource of the organization, and non-expert end users positively participate in information system development processes. This phenomenon is considered user-led information system development(ULD), where users define the information requirements, oversee system testing, manage system development, and lead the overall project. Based on a socio-technical approach, this study examines the impact of ULD on IS success. This paper also investigates the moderating effects of various contextual factors on the relationships between ULD and the success. The questionnaire was developed and the data was collected from the end users who participated in implementing ERP systems. The results showed that ULD positively affects the success. For the moderating variables, IT complexity was found to have a strong effect on the relationship between ULD and the success while business complexity and top management support have partial effects. Surprisingly, resource adequacy was not found to have the effect. This study provides academia and practitioners with a number of implications and guidelines regarding why and when to introduce ULD in their IS development initiatives.

  • Currently, logistics are in small quantities and in diverse forms, and the amounts are continuously increasing. Railway logistics however are losing their market share every year mainly due to low operation speed and loading time, which means the trucks are covering the most of the freights. In order to solve these situations, this paper proposed the high speed freight train as working multi-modality with other modes to make effective transshipment. The high speed freight train has maximum operation speed of 300km/h and electric power to run centralized power supply. There are large dual door system, bogie system covering fluctuating load of 15[ton], automatic loading device, ULD(unit load device) bed and ULD locking system in this freight rolling stock. We calculated the performance of powering and braking capacity for this train and proposed how many vehicles are composed of train set. The results in this paper can help to make a decision to define the technical specification of High-speed freight train for the efficiency of rail freight service.

  • Although CT has an advantage in describing the three-dimensional anatomical structure of the human body, it also has a disadvantage in that high doses are exposed to the patient. Recently, a deep learning-based image reconstruction method has been used to reduce patient dose. The purpose of this study is to analyze the dose reduction and image quality improvement of deep learning-based reconstruction (DLR) on the adult's chest CT examination. Adult lung phantom was used for image acquisition and analysis. Lung phantom was scanned at ultra-low-dose (ULD), low-dose (LD), and standard dose (SD) modes, and images were reconstructed using FBP (Filtered back projection), IR (Iterative reconstruction), DLR (Deep learning reconstruction) algorithms. Image quality variations with respect to varying imaging doses were evaluated using noise and SNR. At ULD mode, the noise of the DLR image was reduced by 62.42% compared to the FBP image, and at SD mode, the SNR of the DLR image was increased by 159.60% compared to the SNR of the FBP image. Based on this study, it is anticipated that the DLR will not only substantially reduce the chest CT dose but also drastic improvement of the image quality.

  • Unit master control(UMC)는 발전소의 요구 부하신호를 설정하는 최상위의 제어레벨이며 UMC의 설정값은 자동급전 지령신호(Automatic Dispatch System : ADS) 또는 운전원이 설정하는 값에 따라 보일러 및 터빈 Master에 Unit 요구 신호를 출력하여 하위제어 레벨인 공기, 연료, 급수 등을 조절할 수 있는 기기에 Unit 부하 요구 신호(Unit Load Demand : ULD)에 따라 제어 되도록 하는 방법으로서, Unit 목표부하 설정, Unit 목표부하 상/하한 제한, 목표부하 변화율 제한, 주파수 보정, Runback/Rundown/ Runup, 보일러 및 터빈 Demand 신호생성의 기능을 가지고 있다.

  • Biphasic Calcium Phosphate (BCP) consisted of hydroxyapatite (HAp) and $\beta$-tricalcium phosphate (P-TCP) has been prepared by solid state reaction. The size reduction of the resultant BCP agglomerate was carried out by reaction with hot water under atmospheric condition uld also under high pressure using an autoclave. The influence of processing conditions on the change of crystalline phase and composition, relative amount of constituent, specific surface area, and microstructure was investigated by means of XRD, FT-IR, BET method using a nitrogen adsorption and SEM.

Round Acupuncture for the Treatment of Recurrent Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

  • Objectives: Round Acupuncture having blunt end has developed from acupotomy. This case report is to find out that Round Acupuncture is effective in treating patients with recurrent carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), which has not improved by steroid injection or acupotomy. Methods: Round Acupuncture was inserted into the distal fibers of transverse carpal ligament and released toward the proximal fibers. Treatment was performed three times in total. T ingling, numbn ess, night pain and swelling sensation were assessed, and provocative maneuvers were also used. Results: After treat ment, all symptoms completely disappeared and the patient had no recurrence until 3 months after treatment. Conclusion: Round Acupuncture co uld be an effective treatment for recurrent CTS.

  • Airlines need to reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions because of the Paris Climate Agreement and ICAO CORSIA. This examined the degree of the strategic responses to which the airlines have made and the problems in the emission trading system (ETS). According to the analysis, the total amount of emission all the airlines made in the last three years was 116% more than the emission allowance imposed by the central government resulting in 10.7 billion KRW additional emission expense. Airlines would also face an increased carbon cost due to the implementation of ICAO CORSIA by purchasing an additional paid-in emission allowance in international routes. Although it is effective to retire the old aircraft early and induce the brand-new fuel-efficient aircraft to reduce GHG emissions, it is impractical in the short-term due to the tremendous amount of investment. To reduce the emission, airlines are washing engines, using ultra-light ULD and carts in the cabin, increasing the use of flaps and preventing the use of APU. On the other hand, these are very limited measures for reducing emissions according to the ICAO's mandatory emission target.

  • VANET(Vehicular Ad-hoc Network) is a kind of ad hoc networks consist of intelligence vehicular ad nodes, and has become a hot emerging research project in many fields. It provide traffic safety, cooperative driving and etc. but has also some security problems that can be occurred in general ad hoc networks. Also, in VANET, vehiculars sho uld be able to authenticate each other to securely communicate with network-based infrastructure, and their location s and identifiers should not be exposed from the communication messages. This paper explains V2I authentication pr otocol using a hash function that preserves the user privacy. In addition, we analyze the security stability of the V2I authentication protocol using Casper in the formal verification technique. As a result, V2I authentication protocol us ing hash function prove a stability.

Isolated aortic valvular heart disease : analysis of etiology and surgical experience (대동맥판막질환의 임상적 고찰 -판막병리 및 임상성적에 대하여-)

  • Clinical and pathologic data were reviewed in 20 patients who had have surgery for isolated aortic valvular heart disease between April 1978 and April, 1987. Hospital mortality was 10%, with no additional late mortality during a mean follow-up period of 24.1 months. Prosthetic valve failure developed in 3 patients and two had reoperation. Niety four percent of the survivors who were in NYHA Funtional class III or IV before operation are now in class I or II. Ninety percent of all patients are still alive at a maximum follow up of 9 years. The clinical histories, gross and histologic examination of valves estabilished the causes for isolated aortic valve disease: 3 rheumatic, 2 congenital bicuspid, 2 hypertention, 2 aortitis and each one case of floppy valve, medial cystic necrosis of aorta, bacterial endocarditis. But etiology was unknown in 8 cases. Sixteen patietns had myxoid degeneration, defined as significant disruption of the valve fibrosa and its replacement by acid mucosaccharides and cystic changes. Myxoid degeneration was also the primary pathologic abnormality in the patients with 2 hypertention, 2 rheumatic, 1 aortitis, 1 bacterial endocarditis, 1 floppy valve, 1 congenital bicuspid. The patients with myxoid degeneration of uncertain origin were 8. Histologic finding of all of them revealed nonspecific patients with myxoid degeneration of uncertain orgin were 8. Histologic finding of all of them revealed nonspecific chronic valvulitis with myxoid degeneration. This finding may indicate that the etiology w uld be infectious.
