Two-Port Time Domain Reflectometry 방법을 이용한 XLPE 전력용 케이블의 전파 특성 측정 (Measurement of the Propagation Constant of a Power Cable Using a Two-Port Time-Domain Reflectometry Technique)

  • 본 논문에서는 전력 케이블의 전파상수를 추출하는 2-port time-domain reflectometry(TDR) 방법을 제안한다. 케이블을 투과하는 펄스 신호를 시간 영역에서 측정하고 주파수 영역에서 분석하여 전파상수를 추출하였다. 22.9 kV 325 $mm^2$ XLPE 케이블의 전파상수를 2.14 GHz까지 추출하고 network analyzer 로 측정한 케이블의 $S_{21}$을 비교하여 2-port TDR 방법의 타당성을 입증하였다. 그 결과, 기존의 TDR 방법보다 측정 가능한 상한 주파수가 증가하고, 고주파수에서 오차가 줄어드는 것을 확인하였다.

8-포트회로망을 이용한 온-웨이퍼형 DUT의 잡음파라미터 측정 (Measurement of the Noise Parameters of On-Wafer Type DUTs Using 8-Port Network)

  • 본 논문에서는 10-dB 감쇠기 및 상용 패키지 된 MMIC 능동소자를 이용하여 구성된 증폭기, 2가지의 온-웨이퍼(on-wafer)형 DUT(Device-Under Test)를 구성하고, 이들의 잡음파라미터를 8-port 회로망을 이용하여 추출하는 방법을 제시하였다. 제작된 10-dB 감쇠기의 경우 수동소자이기 때문에, 이것의 S-파라미터를 측정하여 얻을 경우, 이것의 잡음파라미터를 알 수 있고, 또한 증폭기의 경우 이것의 잡음파라미터가 datasheet에 있다. 따라서 제안한 방법을 이용한 잡음파라미터 측정 결과에 대한 평가를 용이하게 할 수 있다. 기존 저자들에 의하여 발표된 6-포트회로망을 확장한 8-포트회로망을 이용한 잡음파라미터 측정은 사용된 8-포트회로망의 S-파라미터를 필요로 하는데, 동축형 DUT에 국한된다. 온-웨이퍼 프로브가 8-포트회로망에 삽입될 경우, 8-포트회로망의 S-파라미터 측정은 이종 형태의 커넥터를 갖는 8-포트회로망이 된다. 본 논문에서는 회로망 분석기(Network analyzer)의 Smart-cal 기능을 이용하여 8-포트회로망의 S-파라미터를 추출하였다. 측정된 잡음파라미터는 최소잡음지수, $NF_{min}$ 경우, 예상된 결과에 대하여 약 ${\pm}0.2dB$의 오차를 보인다. 다른 잡음파라미터는 주파수에 따라 예상된 결과와 근접하게 일치하는 결과를 보여주고 있다.

  • This paper presents the new algorithm for fault analysis and this algorithm obtains requisite term for fault analysis by the two-port network technique. Therefore, the fault calculation time is composed of only few fundamental arithmetic calculation. The graphic user environment for fault analysis is implemented in mouse-oriented user interface with window and pull-down menu. The result of the algorithm proved to be identical with the sample system in Ref.[8]. this package can be a useful tool for fault analysis.

  • In this paper, we study the algorithm for the multiport measurements using the 2port VNA(Vector network Analyzer). We explain the conversion algorithm which the open impedance to the matched impedance(50 ohm), and then we apply this algorithm to the 4 port VNA measurement. Finally, we discuss the reliability of this algorithm.

  • 본 논문은 점차 국제경쟁력을 갖추어 가고 있는 광양항을 전남지역의 국제물류거점으로 하여 전남권의 목포항, 여수항, 완도항, 등의 항만물류, 무안국제공항의 항공물류, 그리고 장성의 복합화물터미널인 내륙화물기지의 연계를 통하여 효과적인 물류네트워크를 구축하여 이를 통해 전남지역의 물류산업을 활성화 방안을 살펴보았다. 전남의 물류거점인 광양항, 장성복합화물터미널, 목포항, 무안국제공항을 연계하여 체계적인 지역혁신계획을 수립하여 지역혁신주체 및 산업혁신의 역량을 강화하고 지역산업을 활성화하는 방안을 모색하여 전남 U-물류체계 구축을 위한 RFID/USN 기반의 종합물류관리시스템을 구축하여야 한다. 또한 3각 물류거점인을 연계하는 교통망의 추진과 관련하여 광주시내 및 인근에 산재해 있는 중소형 수출입 물류거점을 조기통합추진이 필요하며 국제공항인 무안공항을 중심공항으로 육성하기 위한 방안을 설정하고 항공화물 처리를 위한 화물터미널의 기능을 강화하여야 한다.

Neural Network Based Rudder-Roll Damping Control System for Ship

  • In this paper, new application of adaptive neural network to design a ship's Rudder-Roll Damping(RRD) control system is presented Firstly, the ANNAI neural network controller is presented. Secondly, new RRD control system using this neural network approach is developed. It uses two neural network controllers for heading control and roll damping control separately. Finally, Computer simulation of this RRD control system is carried out to compare with a linear quadratic optimal RRD control system; discussions and conclusions are provided. The simulation results show the feasibility of using ANNAI controller for RRD. Also, the necessity of mathematical ship model in designing RRD control system is removed by using NN control technique.

4포트 커넥터 시스템의 등가회로 변환에 관한 연구 (Equivalent Circuit Model for Four Port Connector System)

  • This paper describes an equivalent circuit modeling of 4-port connector system. A coupled transmission line was designed and fabricated, mimicking a 4-port connector system, and then S-parameters were measured using 4 port VNA (Vector Network Analyzer). The S-parameters from measurement and from Full-wave simulator coincided quite nice. By using these S parameters, an equivalent circuit parameters for a 4-port system was obtained. The time domain response from the equivalent circuit model matched to the signals, which was measured using TDR(Time Domain Reflectometry) meter. We were also convinced that there should be enough bandwidth to get a meaningful time domain result from Fourier inverse transformation of the S parameters. In addition, we applied the conversion algorithm to the 4-port connector system, which calculates the S-parameters of a 4 port system using the data from a 2-port VNA with the other ports open. Comparison of the two data, one from measurement and the other one from the conversion algorithm, was made in this manuscript.

  • Recently, traction motors in trains are supplied with single phase a.c. power. After this power is converted to d.c. power, it is inverted to three phase power to operate traction motors. As going through the process of the conversion, harmonic current is generated in train. The method of conventional analysis on harmonics, studied by RTRI, is modeled with equivalent circuit of ac AT-fed electric railroad system using by the distributed constant circuit. However, this circuit as two-port network model has some difference in comparison with real system. The reason why the conventional method is different from the real system is that the conventional method dose not include three conductor groups, that is catenary, rail, and feeder, and admittance between the conductors for line capacitance. Therefore, this method has a little error. This paper proposes new method to more effectively estimate Harmonic current. In this method, numerous components in electric railway are categorized and each component is defined as a four- port network model. The equivalent circuit for the entire power supply system is also described into a four-port network model with connections of these components. In order to evaluate the efficiency and the accuracy of a proposed method, it is compared with values measured in Kyung-Bu high speed line and ones calculated by the conventional method.

Calibration of frequency propagation channel sounder based on five-port reflectometer

  • Five-port reflectometer which consists of a ring with 5 arms (two inputs, three outputs) and three RF power detectors has been used as a vector network analyser, a demodulator in the homodyne receiver as well as in Phase Looked Loop (PLL) and so on. Calibration of five-port reflectometer is an important task. In this paper, we present a calibration method of five-port for a propagation channel sounder. The method is based on measurement of the phase differences between the three voltages at the five-port's outputs in order to determine the ratio of two input incident waves. The frequency channel sounder based on five-port is calibrated for each frequency from 2.2 GHz to 2.6 GHz with 1 MHz step. This method can also determine the absolute delays of each propagation path in the propagation channel. The calibration method is validated using measurement data.

Charted Depth Interpolation: Neuron Network Approaches

  • Continuous depth data are often required in applications of both onboard systems and maritime simulation. But data available are usually discrete and irregularly distributed. Based on the neuron network technique, methods of interpolation to the charted depth are suggested in this paper. Two algorithms based on Levenberg-Marquardt back-propaganda and radial-basis function networks are investigated respectively. A dynamic neuron network system is developed which satisfies both real time and mass processing applications. Using hyperbolic paraboloid and typical chart area, effectiveness of the algorithms is tested and error analysis presented. Special process in practical applications such as partition of lager areas, normalization and selection of depth contour data are also illustrated.
