  • 본 연구에서는 이상류 동축 노즐의 미립화 기구를 규명하기 위한 기초단계로 20˚의 증류수를 사용하여 이상류 동축노즐의 평균액적 직경에 미치는 공급유량의 영 향을 직접사진 촬영법을 사용하여 규명하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 일반적인 레이저 유속계를 사용하여 광전 증폭관내에 핀흘 대 신에 슬릿(slit)을 장치하고 광전증폭관을 측정영역에 90˚가 되도록 설치하여 in-situ calibration을 수행함으로써 분무의 입경과 속도를 동시에 계측할수 있다는 Yoon의 결과를 이용하고 모든 입자들의 궤적은 동일한 확률을 갖는다는 Yule와 Holve, Self의 가정을 기초로한 수학적인 Deconvolution에 의하여 계측방법에 발생되는 모순 점을 해결하였다. 일반적으로 분무특성해석을 위해서는 분무를 지배하는 기하학적인 변수, 입경분포, 액적의 속도분포, 밀도분포, 입경과 속도의 상관계수, 입자의 증발율 등이 규명 되어야하는데 본 연구에서는 이상류 동축노즐을 제작하고 이의 분무특성을 해석하기위하여 액적의 속도분포, 입경분포, 입경과 속도의 상관계수, 수밀도분포 등 을 계측하였다.

액주형 동축노즐 분무의 무화특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on the atomizing characteristics of liquid column type coaxial sprays)

  • The main purpose of this study is to investigate the atomizing characteristics of a two phase spray by using a liquid column type coaxial nozzle. The experiments have been carried out to analyze the atomization behavior, the droplet size distributions, and the statistical properties of droplet size distributions. Immersion sampling method and the image processing technique were adapted for the measurements of particles, and the distributions of the droplet sizes were statistically analyzed. In the experiments, the mass ratio defined as Mr= $M_{\sigma}$/ $M_{1}$ has been changed from 1.0 to 3.4 and the measurements have been performed along the axis of the spray. As a result of this experimental study, the distributions of droplet size were satisfied with the Log-Normal distributions and arithmetic mean diameter and deviation of mass ratio. Droplet volume-surface mean diameter was denoted by a exponential function of mass-ratio and the exponent was denoted by linear relation according to the central axis from the nozzle. Dispersions, skewness factors and flatness factors had comparatively constant values regardless of mass ratio and location.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the break-up characteristics by taking advantage of a two-phase coaxial nozzle. Air and water are utilized as working fluids and the mass ratio air/water has been controlled to characterize the atomization, diffusion and development of mixing process. By way of a photographic technique, conventional developing structures and diffusion angles have been analyzed systematically with variations of mass ratios. The turbulent flow components of the atomized particles were measured by a two channel LDV system and the data were treated by an on-lined measurement equipment. According to the photographic results the spreading angles decreased because the axial inertia moment was relatively higher than the lateral one with respect to the increase of mass ratio. It is found the jet flow diffuses linearly in a certain limit region while the atomizing characteristics, in terms of the distributions of particle diameters did not show particular differences. It may be expected that these fundamental results can be used as reference data in studying the atomization, breakup and diffusions.
