The purpose of the present study is to estimate the ecological instream flow for conservation and restoration of fish habitat in running water ecosystem which has very important status for stream environment. Estimation of the ecological instream flow in the present study was carried out by application of a two-dimensional depth averaged model of river hydrodynamics, River2D model. It can model fish habitat in natural streams and rivers and assess the quality of physical habitat accoriding to the species preferences for habitat suitability. Zacco platypus and Zacco temmincki were selected as target fish species in the study area of the Seomjin river. The Habitat Suitability Criteria (HSC) developed by Sung et al. (2005) were used for target fish species, life stages and habitat conditions in the study. Weighted usable area (WUA) was computed by the River2D model considering preferences of target fish species for velocity, depth, and channel substrate. The result revealed that the ecological instream flow of $10.0m^3/s$ is needed to maintain the target fish habitat at each life stage in the river.

This paper proposes to automate the process of predicting crypto-operations from the power signal generated in RSA decoding process by frequency analysis and K-means algorithm. RSA decoding process is divided into square and multiply operation, and if we can predict the type of operations over time, we will know the RSA key value. After converting the power signal generated in the process of decoding into two-dimensional frequency signal, this paper used K-means algorithm to classify the frequency vector according to the type of operation. these classified frequency vector were used to predict the types of operations.

Eight cation or anion-responsive polymer membranes were prepared by a casting procedure employing polyvinyl chloride, Bis (2-ethylhexyl)sebacate and each electroactive material in the ratio of 66 : 33 : 1. The resulting membranes were separately installed onto the sensitive area of the ionic electrodes to produce an 8-channel taste sensor array. The taste sensors of the array were connected to a high-input impedance amplifier and the amplified sensor signals were interfaced to a PC via an A/D converter. The taste evaluation system was applied to a discriminant analysis on six groups of marketed beverages like sikhye, sujunggwa, tangerine juice, ume juice, ionic drink and green tea. When the signal data from the sensor array were analyzed by principal component analysis after normalization, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd principal component explained most of the total data variance. The six groups of the analyzed beverages were discriminated well in the three dimensional principal component space. The half of the five groups of the analyzed beverages was also discriminated in the two dimensional principal component plane.

Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) with two-dimensional layered structure, such as molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) and tungsten diselenide (WSe2), are considered attractive materials for future semiconductor devices due to its relatively superior electrical, optical, and mechanical properties. Their excellent scalability down to a monolayer based on the van der Waals layered structure without surface dangling bonds makes semiconductor devices based on TMD free from short channel effect. In comparison to the widely studied transistor based on MoS2, researchs focusing on WSe2 transistor are still limited. WSe2 is more resistant to oxidation in humid ambient condition and relatively air-stable than sulphides such as MoS2. These properties of WSe2 provide potential to fabricate high-performance filed-effect transistor if outstanding electronic characteristics can be achieved by suitable metal contacts and doping phenomenon. Here, we demonstrate the effect of two different metal contacts (titanium and platinum) in field-effect transistor based on WSe2, which regulate electronic characteristics of device by controlling the effective barreier height of the metal-semiconductor junction. Electronic properties of WSe2 transistor were systematically investigated through monitoring of threshold voltage shift, carrier concentration difference, on-current ratio, and field-effect mobility ratio with two different metal contacts. Additionally, performance of transistor based on WSe2 is further enhanced through reliable and controllable n-type doping method of WSe2 by triphenylphosphine (PPh3), which activates the doping phenomenon by thermal annealing process and adjust the doping level by controlling the doping concentration of PPh3. The doping level is controlled in the non-degenerate regime, where performance parameters of PPh3 doped WSe2 transistor can be optimized.

An experimental study on the reduction of vertical motion of floating body using floating-submerged body interaction was performed in a two-dimensional wave channel. The system consisting of a floating and submerged body that only move vertically was modeled. This experiment was designed based on the results of theoretical analysis of two-body interaction. The results showed a tendency to significant reduction of heave RAO of floating body due to submerged body. Various connection line stiffness and dimension of the submerged body were applied to investigate the effect of two-body interaction on the vertical motion of the bodies, Heave RAOs of the floating-submerged body were compared with those of single body. From the comparison study, we obtained an optimum condition of connection line and dimension of submerged body for maximum heave reduction at the resonant period of single body.

In this paper, we propose transceiver design strategies for the two-cell multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) interfering broadcast channel where inter-cell interference (ICI) exists in addition to inter-user interference (IUI). We first formulate the generalized zero-forcing interference alignment (ZF-IA) method based on the alignment of IUI and ICI in multi-dimensional subspace. We then devise a minimum weighted-mean-square-error (WMSE) method based on "regularizing" the precoders and decoders of the generalized ZF-IA scheme. In contrast to the existing weighted-sum-rate-maximizing transceiver, our method does not require an iterative calculation of the optimal weights. Because of this, the proposed scheme, while not designed specially to maximize the sum-rate, is computationally efficient and achieves a faster convergence compared to the known weighed-sum-rate maximizing scheme. Through analysis and simulation, we show the effectiveness of the proposed regularized ZF-IA scheme.

A two-dimensional immiscible water meniscus deformation phenomena on a moving tip in a channel has been investigated by using lattice Boltzmann method involving two-phase model. We studied the behavior of a water meniscus between the tip and a solid surface. The contact angles of the tip and a solid surface considered are in the range from $10^{\circ}$ to $170^{\circ}$. The velocity of the tip used in the study are 0.01, 0.001, and 0.0001. The shapes of tip considered are rectangular and circular. The behavior of water confined between the tip and a solid surface depends on the contact angles of the tip and a solid surface, and the tip velocity. When the tip is moving, we can observe the various behaviors of shear deformation of a water meniscus. As time goes on, the behavior of a water meniscus can be classified into three different patterns which are separated from the tip or adhered to the tip or sticked to a solid surface according to the contact angles and the tip velocity.

Two-dimensional trend-vector model of sediment transport is first tested in the tidal flat of Garolim Bay, mid-western coast of the Korean Peninsula. Three major parameters of surface sediment, i.e., mean grain size, sorting and skewness, are used for defining the best-fitting transport trend-vector on the sand ridge and muddy sand flat. These trend vectors are compared with the real transport directions determined from morphology, field observation and bedforms. The 15 possible cases of trend vectors are calculated from total sediments. In order to find the role of coarse sediments, trend vectors from sediments coarser than < 4.5 ${\phi}$, (sand size) are separately calculated from those of total sediments. As compared with the real directions, the best-fitting transport-vector model is the "case M" of coarse sediments which is the combined trend vectors of two cases: (1) finer, better sorted and more negatively skewed and (2) coarser, better sorted and more positively skewed. This indicates sand-size grains are formed by simpler hydrodynamic processes than total sediments. Transported sediment grains are better sorted than the source sediment grains. This indicates that consistent hydrodynamic energy can make sediment grains better sorted, regardless of complicated mechanisms of sediment transport. Consequently, both transported vector model and real transported direction show that the source of sediments are located outside of bay (offshore Yellow Sea) and in the baymouth. These source sediments are transported through the East Main Tidal Channel adjacent the baymouth. Some are transported from the subtidal zone to the upper tidal flat, but others are transported farther to the south, reaching the south tidal channel in the study area. Also, coarse sediment grains on the sand ridge are originally from the baymouth, and transported through the subtidal zone to the south tidal channel. These coarse sediments are moved to the northeast, but could not pass the small north tidal channel. It is interpreted that the great amount of coarse sediments is returned back to the outside of the bay (Yellow Sea) again through the baymouth during the ebb tide. The distribution of muddy sand in the northeastern part of study area may result from the mixing of two sediment transport mechanisms, i.e., suspension and bedload processes. The landward movement of sand ridge and the formation of the north tidal channel are formed either by the supply of coarse sediments originating from the baymouth and outside of the bay (subaqueous sand ridges including Jang-An-Tae) or by the recent relative sea-level rise.
The authors adopt the Unmanned Undersea Vehicle(UUV), the shape of which is like a manta. They call here it Manta UUV. Manta UUV has been designed from the similar concept of the UUV called Manta Test Vehicle(MTV), which was originally built by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center of USA(Lisiewicz and French, 2000; Simalis et al., 2001; U.S. Navy, 2004). The present study deals with the effect of Reynolds numbers on hydrodynamic forces acting on Manta UUV at large angles of attack. The large angles of attack cover the whole range of 0 to ${\pm}$ 180 degrees in horizontal plane and in vertical plane respectively. Static test at large attack angles has been carried out with two Manta UUV models in circulating water channel. The authors assume that the experimental results of hydrodynamic forces (lateral force, yaw moment, vertical force and pitch moment) are analyzed into two components, which are lift force component and cross-flow drag component. First of all, Based on two dimensional cross-flow drag coefficient at 90 degrees of attack angle, the cross-flow drag component at whole range of attack angles is calculated. Then the remainder is assumed to be the lift force component. The only cross-flow drag component is assumed to be subject to Reynolds number.entstly the authors suggest the methodology to predict hydrodynamic derivertives acting on the full-scale Manta UUV.

A vertically-averaged, two-dimensional version of the Princeton Ocean Model has been applied to the South Sea to simulate the circulation driven by tides and inflows/outflows across open boundaries. To incorporate both forcing properly, a two-step modeling approach is adopted, in which the tidal circulation is first simulated by specifying the tides along the open boundaries, and then both the calculated tidal currents and the observed steady mean currents are prescribed across the open boundaries. Model results show that the steady, subtidal circulation of the South Sea is different from the residual circulation due to tidal rectification, and subtidal currents become locally as strong as tidal currents. The Cheju Current entering the model domain across the Cheju Strait flows eastward in general while shifting onshore or offshore areas following local isobaths. The Tsushima Current entering across the southern boundary reaches farther to the north in the eastern vicinity of Cheju-Do as compared to that entering across other parts of the southern boundary. The Tsushima Current turns to the east, merges with the Cheju Current, and both the Cheju and Tsushima Current exit to the East Sea through the western channel of the Korea Strait. An intensification of the outflow occurs over the deep trough adjacent to the Tsushima Island, which appears to be due to the formation of the frictional boundary layer in order to remove excess positive relative vorticity generated by an increase in the layer thickness. The circulation driven by both the tidal and inflows/outflows is different from that driven by each forcing separately in coastal areas, which implies that both forcings should be considered simultaneously in the simulation of more realistic coastal circulation.
