Using a blue emitting DPVBi material and red dopant DCJTB, WOLEDs with and without green emitter C6 added in ETL or HTL have been fabricated. The chromaticity color index of WOLEDs without C6 depends strongly on the doping concentration. In addition, manipulating thickness of emitting layer is similar effect such as controlling weight concentration of dopant. While the white color of WOLEDs with C6 added in ETL or HTL depend on position of C6. WOLED of three colors added green dye have been shown turn-on voltage of 3.25V, and EL efficiency 3.05cd/A @9V, $8102\;cd/m^2$, CIE coordinates (0.30, 0.32).

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of uniform's color and motif on nurse's impression formation. The experimental design was 5×3×2(uniform color×motif ×perceiver's gender) factorial design with a between-subjects design. The experimental materials developed for the study were a set of stimuli and a response scale. The subjects were 738 undergraduate students of Daejon and Chungnam province. The SPSS package was used for data analysis which includes factor analysis, two-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, and Cronbach's α to measure the reliability. Results were as follows; The image or the stimulus was consisted of the 4 different dimensions(evaluation, sociability, ability, potency). All the independent variables showed some significant impression effects on selected dimensions. The motif and perceiver's gender also showed significant main effects as well as some interaction effects with the color variable on some selected impression dimension and the impression effects of the three variables in relationship to perceiving nurses' images. On a conclusion, these results supported the Gestalt theory.

With a modern microdensitometer and POSS glass copies, we have performed an automated star counting in two colors, blue and red, over the region containing Bok globule B361. Distribution of the measured extinction values over the projected angular distance from the cloud center was approximated by a power-law, and the resulting power-law indices for the blue and red are shown to be distinctly different from each other. The difference in the power-law index indicates that the mean dust size increases towards the cloud center. Possible physical causes for such size variation are briefly discussed.

$BaMgP_2O_7$:Eu,Mn phosphors for white emission were synthesized and their luminescent properties were investigated under UV excitation. The phosphor emits two colors: a blue band by $Eu^{2+}$ and a red band by $Mn^{2+}$. Due to the efficient energy transfer from $Eu^{2+}$ to $Mn^{2+}$, the red emission positioned at 615 nm is greatly enhanced with increasing $Mn^{2+}$ content up to 17.5 mol%.

We report efficient white organic electroluminescent devices consisting of a blue-emitting layer of 9,10-bis[(2",7"-di-t-butyl)-9',9"-spirobifluorenyl]anthracene (TBSA) and a red-emitting layer of 4-dicyanomethylene-2-methyl-6-[2-(2,3,6,7-tetrahydro-1H,5H-benzo[i,j]quinolizin-8-yl)vinyl]-4H-pyran) (DCM2) doped into 4,4'bis[N-(1-napthyl)-N-phenyl-amino]-biphenyl (${\alpha}-NPD$). The device shows the CIE coordinates of (0.32, 0.37). The external quantum efficiency is about 3.4 % and the luminous efficiency is about 3.9 lm/W at luminance of 100 $cd/m^{2}$. The maximum luminance is about 45,400 $cd/m^{2}$ at 11.5 V.

In this paper, a new traffic sign detection algorithm.. and a symbol recognition algorithm are proposed. For traffic sign detection, a dominant color transform is introduced, which serves as a tool of highlighting a dominant primary color, while discarding the other two primary colors. For symbol recognition, the curvilinear shape distribution on a circle centered on the centroid of symbol, called a circular pattern vector, is used as a spatial feature of symbol. The circular pattern vector is invariant to scaling, translation, and rotation. As simulation results, the effectiveness of traffic sign detection and recognition algorithms are confirmed, and it is shown that group of circular patter vectors based on concentric circles is more effective than circular pattern vector of a single circle for a given equivalent number of elements of vectors.

We propose a new content-based image retrieval using a block color co-occurrence matrix (BCCM) and pattern correlogram. In the proposed method, the color feature vectors are extracted by using BCCM that represents the probability of the co-occurrence of two mean colors within blocks. Also the pattern feature vectors are extracted by using pattern correlogram which is combined with spatial correlation of pattern. In the proposed pattern correlogram method. after block-divided image is classified into 48 patterns with respect to the change of the RGB color of the image, joint probability between the same pattern from the surrounding blocks existing at the fixed distance and the center pattern is calculated. Experimental results show that the proposed method can outperform the conventional methods as regards the precision and the size of the feature vector dimension.

The purpose of this study is (1) to investigate how women's visual images in cosmetic magazine advertisements have changed over time and (2) to examine whether women's images in advertisements have changed in regards to the symbolic ambiguity of dress and appearance styles according to the time period. Social identity theory was used as the theoretical framework to understand the change of gender identity and physical appearance. The two magazines of Vogue and Working Woman were selected for the years of 1981, 1991, and 2001. The findings of the study showed that women's make-up colors portrayed in cosmetics magazine advertisements changed from artificial to natural over 20 years and messages in cosmetics magazine advertisement changed from a focus on attractiveness to a focus on skin-care and health. However, appearance styles of women in the advertisements analyzed were predominantly more feminine than masculine for the entire time period studied.

In this paper, we propose an implementation of pH reader on Android smart phone by using Eclipse and SDK. After taking a picture of pH spectrum and tested litmus paper at the same time, we save the picture. From the picture, reference values in RGB and YUB of all pH color in the spectrum are obtained and then those of a chosen point by user in the litmus paper are to be compared with. The distances between the reference colors and the litmus paper's color are measured by Euclidean distance in RGB or YUB coordinate. The nearest two pH values are taken to find the weighted average of the result. Series of test show the proposed scheme is feasible and has performance within 10% error.

Dissection of rat hippocampus using high-definition stereoscopic microscope system is demonstrated. Many surgical operation or animal anatomies are anatomized with stereoscopic microscope. With stereoscopic microscope system, the environments of operation is important factor to dissector. Lights, resolution of acquired stereo images, reflected on the liquid, colors and eye fatigue are fatal factors to dissector. We reduced reflections with two incident angle of lights at 45 degree and used a complementary color at the basement and reform the stereoscopic microsystem. Dissector has felt more comfortable after compensation and operation time is more continuous.
