BD Recorder용 3축 독립구동 Twin-Objective 액추에이터 개발 (Development of Twin-Objective Actuator with Radial Tilt Function for Blu-Ray Disc Recorder)

  • Recently, an optical disc system has been proposed using blue laser diode, high NA objective lens and groove only disc structure. A new method is needed to readout CD and DVD in this Blu-Ray Disc Recorder. In order to readout CD and DVD in Blu-Ray Disc Recorder, we adopted dual-lenses actuator in consideration of optical utilization efficiency, optical performance and insurance of sufficient W.D(working distance). This dual-lenses actuator has two objectives in radial direction, one is for CD/DVD and the other is for BD. We had to solve the induced problems of collision between disc and lens, DC tilt increase, AC tilt increase, 2nd resonance deterioration and AC sensitivity drop caused by disposing two lenses in an actuator. Also we developed high response twin- objective actuator with radial tilt function to apply high-speed BD Recorder or BD Player. Consequently we presented that two kinds of dual-lenses actuators for BD Recorder have been possessed good performance in 3 axis directions. And we measured eye patterns of CD, DVD and BD by using one BD optical pick-up with dual-lenses actuator.

건식 및 수분조건에 따른 차륜/레일의 마모특성 평가 (Wear Characteristics of Wheel/Rail Material under Dry and Wet Conditions)

  • Rolling contact fatigue and wear on rails are inevitable in railway operations due to excessive wheel-rail contact stress. The wear is influenced by vehicle speed, contact pressure, environmental conditions, and many other factors. Speeding on a curved track causes many problems such as wear on the gauge of the rail and rolling contact fatigue. Managing environmental conditions can reduce problems on the wheel and rail interface. In this study, the wear characteristics of wheel and rail materials were investigated by twin-disc testing using various parameters. The results of the wear test indicated that the wear rate under dry conditions was larger than that under wet conditions. We found that contact fatigue damage occurred on the rail in dry conditions, however, the surface of the specimen under water remained smooth. Also, the friction coefficient in dry conditions was larger than in wet conditions.

  • Typical seamless tube production methods are an extrusion and a rotary tube piercing. The rotary piercing process is more competitive than the extrusion process form view point of productivity, quality, and flexibility. It consists of twin rolling mills, a pair of disc or flat guides, and a plug. Twin rolling mills are skewed with proper angles in two directions. A round billet is progressively fed forward and rotated due to the rotation of twin rolling mills. Internal crack initiation and growth at central area of the billet are gradually progress because of the repeating actions of tension and rotation. Design variables in the rotary piercing rolling process are the feed angle, the cross angle, the reduction ratio, and the position of plug. In this work, a rotary tube piercing machine was developed and parametric studies on design variables were carried out using finite element analysis. The Brozzo ductile fracture criterion was utilized to determine an internal crack initiation.

모듈라 치합형 동방향회전 이축 스크류식 압출기를 이용한 폐 XLPE의 재활용 (Recycling of Waste XLPE Using a Modular Intermeshing Co-Rotating Twin Screw Extruder)

  • 본 연구에서는 폐기되는 고전압용 전선으로부터 얻어질 수 있는 XLPE(crosslinked polyethylene)의 재활용에 관하여 고찰하였다. XLPE 스크랩 및 폐기물의 분쇄를 위해 약 $100{\mu}m$ 이하부터 약 $1000{\mu}m$까지 입자크기의 조절이 가능한 두 종류의 분쇄기를 사용하였다. 모듈라 치합형 동방향회전 이축 스크류식 압출기(modular intermeshing co-rotating twin screw extruder)를 이용하여 폐 XLPE의 조성, 폐 XLPE의 입자크기 및 종류, 스크류 조합, 매트릭스 수지의 종류(LDPE, HDPE, PP, PS) 조건을 변화시키면서 배합물을 제조하고 그들의 기계적 및 유변학적 특성과 파단면을 조사하였다. 일반적으로 내외 전도층을 포함한 폐 XLPE 배합물의 충격강도는 내외 전도층을 제외한 배합물보다 충격강도가 작은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, XLPE의 함량이 증가하고 입자크기가 작아 질수록 배합물의 충격강도가 증가하였다. 특히, LDPF의 경우 XLPE를 약 80 wt%까지 충전하여도 정상조건의 압출공정이 가능하였다. 스크류조합에 따른 배합물의 충격강도는 니딩디스크 블록(kneading disc block)의 수가 많을수록 높은 값을 나타내었다. 전체적으로 XLPE의 양이 증가할수록 배합물의 용융점도가 증가하였으나, 압출 전단속도 범위에서 shear thinning 경향을 나타내었다. 폐 XLPE를 범용 고분자수지와 혼합할 경우, LDPE, HDPE, PP 및 PS 모든 배합물에서 충격강도가 증가하였다. 특히, PS/XLPE 배합물의 경우에는 충격강도가 2 배정도 향상되는 효과를 보여주었다.

  • 새로운 TPE(Thermoplastic Elastomer) 블렌드 재료로서 폐 EPDM(Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)분말의 사용에 따른 환경문제를 해결하고, TPE의 고부가 가치화를 위하여 PP (Polypropylene)와 폐 EPDM분말을 주원료로 하고, 동방향 이축압출기(Co-rotating Twin Screw Extruder)를 사용하여 동적가교를 이루어 TPE재료를 제조하였다. TPE 재료의 인장강도, 파단신율, 탄성율 등의 물성을 향상시킬 목적으로 스크류 조합별로 폐 EPDM/PP를 블렌드하여 기계적물성을 조사하였으며, 모폴로지를 조사하였다. 스크류 조합에서는 혼련판과 역 스크류 엘리먼트의 수가 증가할수록 블렌드물의 전단력과 체류시간이 증가하여 동적가교가 증가하였다.

  • Wheel and rail wear is a fundamental and complicate problem in railway field. The life of railway is usually limited by wear. The wheel surface is subjected to high normal and tangential contact stress. The removal of material from the surface by wear is function of the sliding and contact stress. In the present paper, the wear characteristic depended on slip rate, contact pressure and temperature are investigated and is used to twin disc tester. The result shows that the wear in wheel-rail interface is remarkably depended on slip rate and contact pressure.
