경계점좌표등록지역의 세계측지계변환을 위한 경계미세조정에 관한 연구 (Study on Fine-tuning of Boundary for World Geodetic Transformation of a Digital Cadastre)

  • 국토부에서 추진하는 지적도면의 세계측지계변환사업이 면적 위치 등의 미세한 차이로 지적공부에 반영하지 못하고 있다. 경계점좌표등록지역을 세계측지계로 좌표변환 시 경계점좌표를 법정좌표단위로 변경해야 한다. 그런데 좌표단위의 변경 시 나타나는 미세한 면적변화가 기존 지적공부에 등록된 면적과 일치하지 않은 현상이 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 지적재조사에서 사용하는 수동적 경계미세조정방식을 응용하여 다수의 필지들을 일괄적으로 조정할 수 있는 방식을 개발하였다. 조정구간 범위와 면적조건을 고려해야 하는 필지 수에 따라 전수1, 전수2+1, 구간1, 구간2+1 등의 방식으로 구분하였다. 각 방식의 비교를 위해 SW를 개발하여 실험대상 지역을 분석한 결과 위치 정확성측면에서는 전수2+1, 시간적 효율성은 구간2+1 방식이 적합한 것으로 나타났다.

Investigation of smart multifunctional optical sensor platform and its application in optical sensor networks

  • In this article, a smart multifunctional optical system-on-a-chip (SOC) sensor platform is presented and its application for fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor interrogation in optical sensor networks is investigated. The smart SOC sensor platform consists of a superluminescent diode as a broadband source, a tunable microelectromechanical system (MEMS) based Fabry-P$\acute{e}$rot filter, photodetectors, and an integrated microcontroller for data acquisition, processing, and communication. Integrated with a wireless sensor network (WSN) module in a compact package, a smart optical sensor node is developed. The smart multifunctional sensor platform has the capability of interrogating different types of optical fiber sensors, including Fabry-P$\acute{e}$rot sensors and Bragg grating sensors. As a case study, the smart optical sensor platform is demonstrated to interrogate multiplexed FBG strain sensors. A time domain signal processing method is used to obtain the Bragg wavelength shift of two FBG strain sensors through sweeping the MEMS tunable Fabry-P$\acute{e}$rot filter. A tuning range of 46 nm and a tuning speed of 10 Hz are achieved. The smart optical sensor platform will open doors to many applications that require high performance optical WSNs.

An X-Band Carbon-Doped InGaP/GaAs Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor MMIC Oscillator

  • This paper addresses a fully-integrated low phase noise X-band oscillator fabricated using a carbon-doped InGaP heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) GaAs process with a cutoff frequency of 53.2 GHz and maximum oscillation frequency of 70 GHz. The oscillator circuit consists of a negative resistance generating circuit with a base inductor, a resonating emitter circuit with a microstrip line, and a buffering resistive collector circuit with a tuning diode. The oscillator exhibits 4.33 dBm output power and achieves -127.8 dBc/Hz phase noise at 100 kHz away from a 10.39 GHz oscillating frequency, which benchmarks the lowest reported phase noise achieved for a monolithic X-band oscillator. The oscillator draws a 36 mA current from a 6.19 V supply with 47.1 MHz of frequency tuning range using a 4 V change. It occupies a $0.8mm{\times}0.8mm$ die area.

  • This paper discusses the maintenance of the water level of steam generators at its programmed value. The process, the water level of a steam generator, has the nonminimum phase property. So, it causes a reverse dynamics called a swell and shrink phenomenon. This phenomenon is severe in a low power condition below 15 %, in turn makes the start-up of the power plant too difficult. The control algorithm used here incorporates a pole-assignment scheme into the minimum variance strategy and we use a parallel adaptation algorithm for the parameter estimation, which is robust to noises. As a result, the total control system can keep the water level constant during full power by locating closed-loop poles appropriately, although the process has the characteristics of high complexity and nonlinearity. Also, the extra perturbation signals are added to the input signal such that the control system guarantee persistently exciting. In order to confirm the control performance of a proposed pole-assignment self-tuning controller we perform a computer simulation in full power range.

  • This paper has a control method proposed for the effective self-tuning fuzzy speed control based on neural network of the induction motor indirect vector control. The vector control of an induction motor provides the decoupled control of the rotor flux magnitude and the torque producing current to performance is desirable. But, the drive performance often degrades for the machine parameter variations and its condition give rise to coupling of flux and torque current. The fuzzy speed control of an induction motor has the robustness about machine parameter variations compared with conventional PID speed control in a way. That proved to be some waf from the true. The purpose of this paper is to improve the adaptation by offering self-turning function to fuzzy speed controller. In this paper, the adaptive mechanism of fuzzy speed control in used ANN(Artificial Neural Network) technique is applied in an IFO induction machine drive, such that the machine can follow a reference model (an ideal field oriented machine) to achieve desired speed. In this paper proved the self-turning method of fuzzy controller has the robustness about parameter variation and the wide range of adaptation by simulation.

  • Fully embedded tunable bandpass filter (BPF) with inductive coupling circuits is newly designed and demonstrated for UHF TV tuner ranged from 500MHz to 900MHz receivers. Conventional RF tuning circuit with an electromagnetic coupled tunable filter has several problems such as large size, high volume, and high cost, since the electromagnetic coupled filter is comprised of several passive components and air core inductors to be assembled and controlled manually. To address these obstacles, compact tunable filter with inductive coupling circuit was embedded into low cost organic package substrate. The embedded filter was optimally designed to have high performance by using high Q spiral stacked inductors, high dielectric $BaTiO_3$ composite MIM capacitors, varactor diodes. It exhibited low insertion loss of approximately -2dB, high return loss of below -10dB, and large tuning range of 56.3%. It has an extremely compact size of $3.4{\times}4.4{\times}0.5mm^3$.

충격식 감쇠기를 이용한 동흡진기의 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on the Characteristics and Development of Impact Dynamic Vibration Absorber)

  • From comparing the impact dynamic absorber with the impact damper in the auxiliary vibration system with the conventional dynamic absorber, the following conclusions are obtained as follows ; 1. Recognizing that the amplitude restraining effect of the impact dynamic absorber become resonable in a comparison of conventional one development of an improved dynamic absorber may be probable. 2. With increasing the frequency ratio, the 1st resonance peak is higher but the 2nd one gets lower. In addition, the frequency ratio is peak located at the same resonance. 3. The optimum impact clearance is smaller and the vibration constraining effect becomes better with and increase in the mass of impact ball. And it is recognizable that the optimum tuning frequency ratio and impact clearance in an accordance with the mass ratio are varied. 4. The optimum tuning condition becomes gradually lower than the case of r=1 and maximum amplitude becomes lower with an increment in the mass ratio. However, the impulse clearance is larger and the working range of restraining vibration amplitude become smaller with a decrement in the mass of impact ball.

Fabrication and Characterization of Tunable Bandpass Filter using BST Thin Films

  • In this work, a CPW resonator was designed and fabricated to investigate the basic microwave properties, such as effective dielectric constant, of BST thin films. Their properties were used as basic data to simulate and design CPW tunable bandpass filter. We also report on gold/$Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}TiO_3$(BST) ferroelectric thin film C-band tunable bandpass filters(BPFs) designed and fabricated on magnesium oxide substrates using CPW structure. The 2 pole filter was designed for a center frequency of 5.88 GHz with a bandwidth of 9 %. The BST based CPW filter offers a high sensitivity parameter as well as a low loss parameter. The tuning range for the bandpass filter with CPW structure was determined to be 170 MHz.

Multiband Microstrip-Fed Right Angle Slot Antenna Design for Wireless Communication Systems

  • This paper presents a novel multiband microstrip-fed right angle slot antenna design technique for multiple independent frequency bands. The new technique uses various slot sizes at various appropriate positions. We first propose a tri-band slot antenna consisting of three right angle slots. Then, a quad-band slot antenna is developed with four right angle slots which achieves slant ${\pm}45^{\circ}$ linear polarization, omnidirectional pattern coverage, good antenna gain, and acceptable impedance bandwidths over all the operating frequency range. Moreover, an open-circuited tuning stub is introduced to achieve good impedance matching. Both proposed antennas are designed on a ground plane of RT/duroid 5880 substrate with a thickness of 1.575 mm. The real measurable results show that the desired frequencies used in wireless communication systems, namely, WLAN and WiMax, are efficiently achieved.

로켓엔진 연소기에서 반파장 공명기의 음향감쇠에 관한 수치적 연구 (Acoustic-Damping Characteristics of Half-Wave Resonator in a Combustion Chamber of Liquid Rocket Engine)

  • 고성능 연소기에서 주로 채택되는 기체-액체형 동축 분사기의 음향감쇠 효과를 선형 음향해석을 통해 조사하였다. 그러한 형태의 분사기는 반파장 공명기 역할을 수행할 수 있으므로 반파장 공명기와 1/4파장 공명기의 음향감쇠 특성을 비교/조사하였다. 공명기의 음향 감쇠 효과에 있어서 경계흡수계수의 영향과 공명기 길이 효과를 알아보았고, 연소실과 공명기내 유체의 음속 변화를 통해 반파장 공명기의 음향 감쇠 특성을 조사하였다. 계산 결과, 공명기의 최적 동조 길이가 짧고, 공명기내 유체의 음속이 낮은 조건에서 큰 감쇠효과가 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 경계흡수계수의 감소는 공명기의 동조 길이 범위를 좁게 하였다.
