  • heat pipe with screen meshed wick. The heat pipe was designed in 200 screen meshs, 500 mm length and 12mm O.D tube of copper, water as working fluid and nitrogen as non-condensible gas. Heat pipe used in this study has evaporator, condenser and adiabatic section, respectively. Experimental data of wall temperature distribution along axial length is presented for heat transport capacity, condensor cooling water temperature change, degrees of an inclination angle, and operating temperature.

아이스 슬러리의 수송 및 냉열이용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Transport and Heat Utilization of Ice Slurries)

  • To investigate hydraulic and thermal characteristics of ice slurries in a circular tube, ice slurries were tested in a flow loop with a constant heat flux test section, for ranges of flow velocity, ice fraction and heat flux. Heat transfer coefficients and friction factors of ice slurries were calculated by measuring the outer wall temperatures of the test section and the pressure drops over the test section. Heat transfer coefficients of ice slurries were 9% higher than the heat transfer coefficients expected by Petukhov. Friction factors were about 4% lower than the friction factors expected by Petukhov. The effective thermal capacity of ice slurry with 12.8% ice fraction, was found to be about 3 times higher than the thermal capacity of water.

메추리혈청 리포단백질의 방사면역분석법 (Radioimmunoassay of High-Density Lipoprotein in Japanese Quail Serum)

  • The development of radioimmunoassay (RIA) for high-density lipoprotein (HDL) in Japanese quail serum will contribute to the screening of drugs acting on cholesterol transport. We have developed a double antibody RIA method for J. quail HDL. The first antibody was raised in rabbit by immunization of HDL isolated by the dextrane sulfate-$Mn^{#}$ precipitation method. For the preparation of raclioiodinated antigen, HDL was further purified by combination of electrophoretic procedure. Using the second antibody raised in goat by rabbit IgG, we have furnished the RIA method for HDL. It showed high specificity and sensitivity of working assay range, 0.1-33.mu.g HDL/tube. There was no correlation between the radioimmunoassay of HDL and the enzyme assay of HDL-cholesterol.

다양한 배플 인자에 따른 셀-튜브 열교환기의 열전달 및 압력강하 특성에 관한 수치해석 (Numerical analysis for heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of )

  • 셀-튜브 열교환기는 산업분야에서 가장 널리 사용되는 열교환기이다. 열교환기의 열적 성능을 개선하기 위하여 셀-튜브 열교환기에 대해 배플의 배치, 배플의 방향, 배플의 표면의 돌기형상 등의 인자를 변경하였으며, 유동의 박리 및 경계층해석에 적절히 이용되는 SST 난류모델을 적용하여 열전달특성을 고찰하였다. CFD해석시 경계조건는 셀측의 입구온도를 344K로 일정하게 하고, 물의 유량을 6, 12, 18, 24 l/min로 변화시켰다. 그 결과로는 지그재그형 배치가 열전달률 및 압력강하가 향상되는 것으로 나타났으며, 배플의 방향은 기존형보다 수직형 및 각도 $45^{\circ}$형이 열전달이 향상되는 것으로 나타났고, 압력강하는 거의 차이가 없었다. 또한 배플의 돌기형상은 열전달면적을 증가시킴으로써 열전달률 및 압력강하가 향상됨을 알 수 있었다. 해석결과를 통하여 열전달 증가가 유동의 박리, 유체의 체류시간, 튜브와의 접촉면적, 유량, 와류 등에 따라 크게 영향을 받는다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

피동 원자로건물 냉각계통 실험에 관한 수치적 연구 (Numerical Investigation on Experiment for Passive Containment Cooling System)

  • The numerical simulations were conducted to investigate the thermal-fluid phenomena occurred inside the experimental apparatus during a PCCS, used to remove heat released in accidents from a containment of light water nuclear power plant, operation. Numerical simulations of the flow and heat transfer caused by wall condensation inside the containment simulation vessel (CSV), which equipped with 18 vertical heat exchanger tubes, were conducted using the commercial computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software ANSYS-CFX. Shear stress transport (SST) and the wall condensation model were used for turbulence closure and wall condensation, respectively. The simulation using the actual size of the apparatus. However, rather than simulating the whole experimental apparatus in consideration of the experimental cases, calculation resources, and calculation time, the simulation model was prepared only in CSV. Selective simulation was conducted to verify the effects of non-condensable gas(NC gas) concentration, CSV internal pressure, and wall sub-cooling conditions. First, as a result of the internal flow of CSV, it was observed that downward flow due to condensation occurred surface of the vertical tube and upward flow occurred in the distant place. Natural convection occurred actively around the heat exchanger tube. Due to this rising and falling internal flow, natural circulation occurred actively around the heat exchanger tubes. Next, in order to check the performance of built-in condensation model using according to the non-condensable gas concentration, CSV internal flow and wall sub-cooling, the heat flux values were compared with the experimental results. On average, the results were underestimated with and error of about 25%. In addition, the influence of CSV internal pressure and wall sub-cooling was small, but when the condensate was highly generated due to the low non-condensable gas concentration, the error was large compared to the experimental values. This is considered to be due to the nature of the condensation model of the CFX code. However, in spite of the limitations of CFD, it is valid to use the built-in condensation model of CFD for PCCS performance prediction from a conservative perspective.

원형휜에서 열전달 특성분석 (Heat transfer on annular fins with one-dimensional radiative and convective heat exchange)

  • 본 연구에서는 많은 실질적인 시스템에서, 많은 양의 복합된 전도, 대류, 복 사의 열전달 현상이 동시에 일어나기 때문에 복합된 열전달 모드가 다같이 다루어져야 만 한다. Fig.1에서 보는 바와 같이 얇은 원형휜이 튜브 주위에 무수히 부착되어 있 으며, 휜과 튜브주위를 기체가 흐르고 있다. 휜과 휜, 휜과 튜브표면, 휜과 주위환 경, 튜브표면과 주위환경 사이에서 복사 열전달 상호교환이 충분히 다루어졌다. 전 도, 대류, 복사기 동시에 일어나는 열전달 방정식은 비선형 적분-미분 방정식(nonlin- ear integro-differential equation)으로 표현된다. 온도 분포도(temperature dist- ributions), 열전달량(heat transfer rates), 휜효율(fin efficiencies), 휜유효성(f- ineffectivenesses)등이 계산되어졌고, 무차원 형태로 도표에 결과들을 제시하였다.

In Vitro Development of Porcine Parthenogenetic Embryos under the Oil-free Culture System

  • Optimization of the preimplantation mammalian embryo culture condition was widely focused on refining medium composition under the name of chemically defined media. However, recent research revealed that the alteration of physical environment can be a crucial factor to a successful embryo development. In this study, under the same embryo density, a novel culture device named oil-free micro tube culture (MTC) system was evaluated using porcine parthenogenetic embryos. The activated oocytes were placed into the 0.2 ml thin-wall flat cap PCR tube and cultured to the blastocyst stage. As a preliminary step, embryo density and culture medium volume were optimized under a standard drop culture system. The optimal embryo density range for in vitro culture was 0.5 embryos per ${\mu}l$ in $20\;{\mu}l$ drop (20.5%) and 1.0 embryos per ${\mu}l$ in $10\;{\mu}l$ drop (20.6%). Based on these results, we compared drop culture system and 'MTC' system in terms of the developmental rate to the blastocyst stage. In $20\;{\mu}l$ medium volume, the 'MTC' system showed similar blastocyst formation rate when compared with drop culture system (20.2% versus 20.5%, respectively) while the 'MTC' system showed lower blastocyst formation rate than drop culture system in $10\;{\mu}l$ one (12.7% versus 20.0%, respectively). Therefore the $20\;{\mu}l$ MTC system may be an alternative incubation system for short-distance embryo transport without carrying the $CO_2$ incubator and this provides novel embryo culture device to clinical veterinary embryologists.

  • A dynamic model has been developed to simulate dynamic operation of a real double-effect absorption chiller. Dynamic behavior of working fluids in main components was modeled in first-order nonlinear differential equations based on heat and mass balances. Mass transport mechanisms among the main components were modeled by valve throttling, 'U' tube overflow and solution sub-cooling. The nonlinear dynamic equations coupled with the subroutines to calculate thermodynamic properties of working fluids were solved by a numerical method. The dynamic performance of the model was compared with the test data of a commercial medium chiller. The model showed a good agreement with the test data except for the first 5,000 seconds during which different flow rates of the weak solution caused some discrepancy. It was found that the chiller dynamics is governed by the inlet temperatures of the cooling water and the chilled water when the heat input to the chiller is relatively constant.

  • 본고에서는 호남~제주, 한중 및 한일 해저 철도에 대한 구상이 지속되고 있는 여건을 고려해 해저 철도 공사 방법 중 하나인 침매 터널 기술에 대해 조사한다. 본고는 현황조사를 통해 침매 터널을 대륙별 및 기능별로 분류해 분석한다. 본고는 준설방법을 요약해 정리하고 준설토 처리시설에 대해 설명한다. 또한 본고에서는 준설 작업이 해양 생태 환경에 미치는 영향을 줄이기 위해 취해진 조치 사례들을 소개한다. 본고는 침설 조인트 등 수중 함체 연결 과정 및 원리에 대해 설명한다. 본고는 기초공사를 성토와 지반개량으로 분류해 요약 정리하고, 관련된 지반 타공 및 수중 시멘트 사용이 주변 생태 환경에 미치는 영향에 대해 고찰한다.
