남강유역 지류·지천별 영향도 평가 (The Estimation of Contribution Ratio for Sub Stream in Nam River Basin)

  • The relations between tributaries and mainstream were identified with the water qualities measurements in the field. Parameters of water qualities were BOD, T-N, T-P and measurements were performed by 4 events of rainfalls for 2011. The precipitation data influenced on pollutants loads. Pollutants loads were fluctuations with the seasonal variation. Gajoacheon contributed in 18.39% of BOD, 23.79% of T-N, 15.23% of T-P and Nabulcheon contributed in 13.54% of BOD, 13.05% of T-N and 13.66% of T-P in the region from Nam River_C to Nam River_D. In case of the region from Nam River_C to Nam River_D, Yongacheon river inflowed to main stream as 23.65% of BOD, 20.74% of T-N, and 15.05% of T-P.

한강수계의 관개용수 일별 양수량 조사 (Surveying the Daily Pumpage for Irrgating Paddy Rice in the Han River Basin)

  • The objective of this paper are to present a realistic methodology to estimate the daily water supply rates form irrigation pumping stattions, to validate it with the field data, and to report the daily irrigation pumping rates from the Han river basin. Five-year historical pumping records were collected from seventy-three pumping stations in the Han river basin. And the daily pumping rates were estimated from the electrical consumption records. The pumping patterns from the stations were analyzed and the results were applied to ungauged pumping stations in the basin. The method was appliedto five stations which were field monitored during the irragation periods in 1998. The relative errors between the observed and simulated water pumpage ranged from 1.4 to 7.0 percent. This indicates that the proposed method is valid to apply for estimating the pumping rates for agricultural lands. During 1993 to 1997, the annual average water pumpaging from the Han river and the tributaries were 350 million cubic meter. The annual water supply from the pumping stations varied from 973 to 1.377 mm in depth and the mean was 1,170 mm. The major factor affecting the annual variations was attributed to the rainfall during the growing seasons.

수질오염의 특징적 요인 비교를 통한 충청남도권 금강수계 소하천의 오염하천 우선정비 선정에 관한 연구 (Rehabilitation priority of tributaries in Geumgang River by the characteristic factors of pollution)

  • 본 연구는 충청남도 권역내 금강본류에 유입되는 23개 소하천을 대상으로 하여 각 하천의 BOD와 T-P의 수질을 분석하였다. 효과적인 수질개선대상하천 선정을 위하여 금강수계의 목표수질과 오염물질의 그룹화를 통하여 하천을 선정하였다. 수질오염총량관리지역 목표수질을 초과한 하천으로는 정안천, 방축천, 수철천, 강경천, 석성천, 금천, 은산천, 길산천으로 해당되며 이중 강경천과, 석성천은 2009년~2011년 3개년에 걸쳐 목표수질을 초과한 것으로 나타났다. 수질오염물질의 관계에 의한 하천 그룹화 분석결과 '환경정책기본법 시행령'의 하천생활기준 BOD농도가 3.0mg/L초과, T-P농도가 0.1mg/L초과하는 Group D에 해당하는 하천으로는 강경천, 방축천, 석성천, 길산천이 해당되었으며, 우선적으로 하천수질개선이 필요하다. 목표수질과 그룹화 결과를 토대로 수질개선이 필요한 우선순위 하천으로 강경천과 석성천이 해당되며, 이 두개하천의 수질오염물질의 개선이 단기적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.

국내 수계에서의 BOD분해속도계수 분포 (Distribution of BOD Decay Rate in Streams and Reservoirs)

  • BOD decay rate is a key parameter of BOD-DO models in streams and lakes. In the calibration of water quality modeling appropriate range of coefficient is required for guidance of parameter selection. In this study BOD decay rate was measured at 48 stream sites and 10 reservoir sites in 8 different river systems. The decay rate ranged from 0.09 to 0.25 $day^{-1}$ with a mean of 0.16 $day^{-1}$. Among river systems the decay rates showed significantly different ranges, with the Han River system showing higher values than other river systems. In comparing different types of water bodies, the decay rate was slightly higher in tributaries than in reservoirs and mainstreams. Our results can provide guidance to the selection of proper coefficient for various water bodies in the calibration of water quality models.

낙동강유역의 하수처리장 방류수와 인접 하류하천의 수질상관관계 분석 (Water Quality Correlation Analysis between Sewage Treated Water and the Adjacent Downstream Water in Nakdong River Basin)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between the effluent of a sewage treatment plant (STP) and the adjacent stream located downstream of the STP in Nakdong River. Flow and water quality data, such as BOD, COD, SS, T-N, and T-P data, for 12 STPs and adjacent downstream monitoring stations in the main stream and tributaries of Nakdong River were collected from 2012 to 2015. As a result of correlation analysis between river flow and water quality at the river water quality measurement point, COD, SS, and T-P were correlated positively with the river flow rate at 6, 8, and 6 points, respectively. As a result of analyzing the water quality of sewage treatment plant effluents and downstream streams, BOD and COD were correlated at 2 and 3 points, respectively. T-N showed a positive correlation at 9 points, and 7 of them had a strong positive correlation, indicating that sewage treatment effluent had a large effect on downstream streams. In this study, we found that the correlation between the river flow rate and the water quality factors (COD, SS, TP) was high at river water measurement points, and the sewage treatment plant effluent was correlated with the T-N value of adjacent streams.

참갈겨니, Zacco koreanus(잉어과)의 NE형과 NS형의 서식처 분리 (Habitat Segregation between NE and NS Type of Zacco korean us (Cyprinidae))

  • 참갈겨니 NE와 NS형의 서식범위 내에서 두 형이 공서하는 지점을 조사한 결과 낙동강과 섬진강의 각 지류의 상류지점, 남해로 흐르는 일부 하천에서 발견되었다. 두 형이 공서하는 하천에서의 분포양상은 NE형은 상류 지역에 NS형은 중류 지역에 치우치는 경향을 보였다. 중간 지역에서는 같은 지점에서 동시에 출현하였으나, NE형은 여울에 NS형은 웅덩이 또는 흐름이 느린 곳에서 주로 서식하는 서식처 분리현상을 나타내었다. 유속과 출현개체수의 관계는 공서지에서는 유속의 증가에 따라 NE형은 개체수가 증가하는 반면 NS형은 감소하는 경향을 보였으나, 각각 단독으로 존재하는 곳에서는 그러한 경향이 나타나지 않았다.

강우에 의한 중랑천의 수질 특성 변화 연구 (Hydrochemical Characteristics and Changes by Rainfall in the Jungrang River)

  • Effects of a rainfall event (July 28, 2005) on the hydrochemical characteristics of the Jungrang river, the biggest tributary of the Han river, was investigated. Significant spatial variations in the hydrochemical characteristics were observed. At JR2 location, concentrations of T-N and T-P were relatively low indicating occurrence of active oxidation in the stepped drop structure. At JR3 location, concentrations of Na, K, Cl, $NH_4-N$ and EC were elevated suggesting increased discharge from the nearby waste-water treatment plant and tributaries. The rain event diluted major dissolved ion concentrations in the river by 12~52%. The $NO_3-N$ levels were preserved during the rain then increased about twofold after rainfall, suggesting increased discharge of nitrate-contaminated groundwater. Heavy metals including Cd, Co, Cr, Cu and Pb were not detected in all water samples and the leachates from surface sediment samples. Concentrations of Fe, Mn, Al and Zn were below the Korean Drinking Water Guideline. Results of this study suggested that establishment of water-quality monitoring protocols describing temporal and spatial variations in parameters sensitive to rainfall events, relatively steady factors, and contaminant sources is required.

Quinone profile를 이용한 하천생태계의 미생물군집구조 해석 (Analysis of Microbial Community Structure in River Ecosystem Using Quinone Profiles)

  • The differences in microbial community structures between planktonic microorganism and biofilm in rivers were investigated using respiratory quinone profiles. The compositions of microbial quinone for 4 tributaries of the Kyongan Stream located in/flowing through Yongin City, Gyeonggi-Do were analyzed. Ubiquinone(UQ)-8, UQ-9, menaquinone(MK)-6 and Plastoquinone(PQ)-9 were observed in all samples of planktonic microorganism and biofilm for the sites investigated, Most planktonic microorganism and biofilm had UQ-8(15 to 30%) and PQ-9(over 30%) as the dominant quinone type. These results indicated that oxygenic phototrophic microbes(cyanobacteria and/or eukaryotic phytoplankton) and UQ-8 containing proteobacteria constituted major microbial populations in the river. The quinone concentration in the river waters tested, which reflects the concentration of planktonic microorganisms, increases with increasing DOC. Further research into this is required. The microbial diversities of planktonic microorganism and biofilm calculated based on the composition of all quinones were in the range from 4.2 to 7.5, which was lower than those for activated sludge(ranging from 11 to 14.8) and soils(ranging from 13.4 to 16.8). The use of quinone profile appears to be a useful tool for the analysis of microbial community structure in river.

통계분석 기법을 이용한 錦江水系의 水質評價 (Evaluation of Water Quality in the Keum River using Statistics Analysis)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate water quality in the Keum River using multivariate analysis. The analysis data in Keum river made use of surveyed data by the ministry of environment from January 1994 to December 2001. Thirteen water quality parameter were determined on each sample. The results was summarized as follow; Water quality in the Keum River could be explained up to 71.39% by four factors which were included in loading of organic matter and nutrients by the tributaries (32.88%), seasonal variation (16.09%), loading of pathogenic bacteria by domestic sewage of Gapcheon (13.39%) and internal metabolism in estuary as lakes(9.03%). For spatial variation of factor score, four group was classified by each factor characterization. Station 1 and 2 was influenced by Daechung dam, station 3 was affected by domestic sewage of Gapcheon, station 10~12 was affected by estuary dyke and the rest station. The result of cluster analysis by station was classified into four group that has different water quality characteristics. In monthly cluster analysis, three group was classified according to seasonal characteristic. Also, in yearly cluster analysis, three group was classified. It is necessary to control the pollutant loadings by Gapcheon inflow domestic sewage in Daejeon city for the sake of water quality management of Keum river.

하천통로에서 미세 지형 발달이 하천 식생에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Microtopography on the Development of Riparian Vegetation in Stream Corridors)

  • Urban streams have, recently, been straightened and widened to alleviate flooding problem. As a result, the stream have been modified inadvertently for ecological functions and microtopography. In this study, we investigated riparian vegetation and microtopography of the tributaries of Han River before and after the monsoon rain in summer. The purpose of this study was to relate the stream microtopography to the distribution of riparian vegetation. The stream microtopography was investigated for its scale and pattern. Vegetation was investigated from 131 plots by Braun-Blanquet method. The distribution of riparian vegetation was significantly correlated with the stream microtopography. Various herbaceous species occurred at stream bank slop, high terrace and channel side. However, at channel side and concave part of terrace where soils were in high moisture level, only a few wetland species were dominated. The complexity of the microtopography in the stream corridors led to heterogeneous riparian vegetation. The vegetation showed more stability against flooding at the stream corridors with natural and complex microtopography than at the urban-type stream corridors with simple topographical features. The results showed that the development of riparian vegetation was influenced by the changes in microtopography, which was primarily determined by the shape and characteristics of channel. It seemed that a close-to-nature river system would be restored more readily with an understanding of microtopographical features affecting the distribution of riparian vegetation.
