With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, the patenting activities related to the fields of AI is increasing worldwide. In particular, a share of patent filed in China has exploded in recent years and overtakes the numbers in the US. In the present study, we focus our attention on the patenting activity of China and the US. We analyzed 6,281 and 13,664 patent applications in the US and China respectively between 2008 and 2018, and belonging to the "G06F(Electric Digital Data Processing)", "G06N(Computer Systems Based on Specific Computational Models)", "H04L(Transmission of Digital Information)" and nine more relevant technological classes, as indicated by the International Patent Classification(IPC). Our analysis contributes to: first, the understanding of patent application trends from foreign countries filed in the US and China, 2) patent application status by applicants category such as companies, universities and individuals, 3) the development direction and forecasting vacant technology of AI according to main IPC code. Through the analysis of this paper, we can suggest some implications for patent research related to artificial intelligence in Korea. Plus, by analyzing the most recent patent data, we can provide important information for future artificial intelligence technology research.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the operation situation & academic research trends in Seoul and Gyeonggi area, based on theoretical consideration on academic credit bank system, focusing on academic credit bank system where a lifelong education institute affiliated with a university produces graduates with associate's degree. To find out about how academic credit bank institutes are operated in cosmetology field, the analysis of literature review was used, in reference to the literatures as well as administrative data from the Ministry of Education and institutes for lifelong education with respect to academic credit bank system. Further, dissertations and articles in journals were also reviewed for analysis, in order to see academic research trends with respect to academic credit bank system in cosmetology, and finally to provide the directions for a follow-up study in the future. It was found that about 120 junior colleges have cosmetology departments, while only about 20 4-year universities have them, where lifelong education systems such as lifelong education are essential for learners to have bachelor's degree to go to a graduate school in reality. Every year more people want to learn and acquire the degree through a lifelong education institute affiliated with a university. In this regard, it is thought that there should be first positive social awareness towards a degree recipient from such educations and more administrative promotion and active engagement of government, businesses and schools, in order to vitalize academic credit bank system. Meanwhile, there are only about 10 academic literatures including the dissertations on the operation of academic credit bank system with respect to cosmetology, which is not sufficient number in academic research, compared to the increasing number of people who want to acquire the degree. Most of the preceding studies have been limited to education services and learners' satisfaction level. Therefore, continuous follow-up study is required on how to improve social awareness as well as teachers and instructors' satisfaction level, as well as how to develop industry-customized curriculum, in order to ensure active academic credit bank system.

In this paper, the contemporary deployment of broadband and Internet-of-Things (IoT) services based on the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communication network is presented. First, the global service and key technologies of small and nanosatellites are briefly addressed, and then, the progress of relevant standard technologies is explained. Finally, the overall potential for the future development of the LEO satellite communication network is highlighted.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends of children's services research in Korea. A total of 113 research articles were selected from 4 journals in Library and Information Science. Articles were analyzed in the aspects of research subjects, research methods, author types, and research funds. The writer discussed the problems shown in the articles and suggested some recommendations for the development of research.

The purposes of this research were to: a) define the changing trends of DRGs in comparison to the National Data, b) define the changing trends of Nursing Diagnoses and Nursing Interventions for the 5 most frequently occurring Diagnostic Related Groups (DRGs) across 3 years, and c) define the relationships between nursing diagnoses and nursing Interventions for the 5 most frequently occurring DRGs across the 3 years. This study was a secondary data analysis of medical and nursing data based on the United States Nursing Minimum Data Set and the Uniform Hospital Discharge Data Set retrieved from a Midwestern USA medical center. The results showed interesting comparisons with national statistics as well as practice relevant trends within the nursing data. Additionally, the results showed the possibility that nursing data can be extracted from the medical data, so they can used in the nursing productivity and cost issues etc. In conclusion, this study supports the power of minimum data sets and nursing classifications to begin to describe a more global perspective the inter-relationships and trends of nursing data within the medical diagnosis context.

Purpose: Due to the nature of heatwave research, where research is conducted for a variety of subjects and purposes, it is important to anticipate research trends and development directions in order to improve the quality of the research. Therefore, in order to provide basic data that can suggest the current status of heatwave research and the direction of future research, we tried to examine the trends of heatwave-related research. Method: Heatwave studies published in academic journals registered with the National Research Foundation of Korea from 2011 to 2020 were analyzed by classifying them according to the research period, the purpose of the study, the research subjects and the research method. Result: The main research results are as follows. First, as interest in heatwaves increases, the number of heatwave studies also increases. Second, the purpose of heatwave research is biased and needs to be studied from various perspectives. Third, although various research subjects were used, an even study was not conducted. Fourth, under the influence of the research purpose, the bias of the research method appeared together. Conclusion: The damage caused by the heat wave is persistent and has a widespread impact. In order to manage, prevent, and respond to such heat waves as disasters, equal research should be conducted in various fields.

Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH), states that at any point in time in a liquid market security prices fully reflect all available information. This paper presents a study of proving the hypothesis through daily Twitter sentiments using the hybrid approach of the lexicon-based approach and the naïve Bayes classifier. In this research we analyze the currency exchange rate movement of Indonesia Rupiah vs US dollar as a way of testing the Efficient Market Hypothesis. In order to find a correlation between the prediction sentiments from Twitter data and the actual currency exchange rate trends we collect Twitter data every day and compute the overall sentiment to label them as positive or negative. Experimental results have shown 69% correct prediction of sentiment analysis and 65.7% correlation with positive sentiments. This implies that EMH is semi-strong Efficient Market Hypothesis, and that public information provide by Twitter sentiment correlate with changes in the exchange market trends.

Augmented reality/virtual reality(AR/VR) technology has a very long research history, beginning in the 1860s. As of the CES of 2016, the expectations regarding the commercialization of AR/VR technology have increased, incurring the interest of many people. AR/VR technologies will be established as a part of our everyday life, such as smartphones, by combining the breakthrough developments of displays, semiconductors, sensors, and various content development technologies. However, until recently, the results of innovative technological developments and market growth had not been reported. In this article, we analyze these trends by focusing on display technologies, and discuss future directions.

The aim of this study is investigate the research trends by analyzing the researches related to Korean and international genetics in oncology nursing. We conducted a text network analysis focusing on the key words presented in the abstracts of papers published in journals related to genetics in oncology nursing. Nurse, Cancer, Genetic, Patient, Knowledge, Care, and Genetic Test were identified as keywords and centralized keywords. As a result of studying research trends over time, researches including keywords such as information, care, and knowledge have increased since the completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003. Key words classified through the meta paradigm of nursing were health, nursing, human, environment order. This study is meaningful in that it can be used to identify trends in tumor genetic nursing research and to set the direction of development of nursing intervention for hereditary cancer patients.
