  • Purpose: PBM is emerging as a major management system for securing corporate productivity and enhancing competitiveness, and various studies are being conducted. The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends published in KCI-listed journals and papers since 1999 to understand the current status of research and provide basic data for more extensive research and development of performance management in the future. Research design, data and methodology: A detailed examination of research trends was conducted through the analysis of abstracts from 154 research papers on PBM. To facilitate a comprehensive analysis of these trends, LDA topic modelling was employed. Results: First, it should be noted that research on PBM is not limited to the area of HRM. Instead, PBM research is expanding to encompass comprehensive personnel systems. Second, the results of topic modeling analysis show that although the initial focus of research was on human resource management, there is now a growing interest in fairness and organizational culture in the entire organization. Conclusions: PBM is becoming a dominant paradigm as it shifts from HR systems to organizational fairness and culture. This suggests that future research should consider both quantitative and qualitative aspects of PBM to improve corporate performance while prioritizing organizational fairness and culture.

  • Academia and research institutes mainly use qualitative methods that rely on expert judgments to understand and predict research trends and science and technology trends. Since such a technique has the disadvantage of requiring much time and money, in this study, science and technology trends were predicted using keyword network analysis. To that end, 13,618 AI (Artificial Intelligence) patent abstracts were analyzed using keyword network analysis in three separate lots based on the period of the submission of each abstract: analysis period 1 (January 1, 2002 - December 31, 2006), analysis period 2 (January 1, 2007 - December 31, 2011), and analysis period 3 (January 1, 2012 - December 31, 2016). According to the results of frequency analyses, keywords related to methods in the field of AI application appeared more frequently as time passed from analysis period 1 to analysis period 3. In keyword network analyses, the connectivity between keywords related to methods in the field of AI application and other keywords increased over time. In addition, when the connected keywords that showed increasing or decreasing trends during the entire analysis period were analyzed, it could be seen that the connectivity to methods and management in the field of AI application was strengthened while the connectivity to the field of basic science and technology was weakened. According to analysis of keyword connection centrality, the centrality value of the field of AI application increased over time. According to analysis of keyword mediation centrality during analysis period 3, keywords related to methodologies in the field of AI application showed the highest mediation value. Therefore, it is expected that methods in the field of AI application will play the role of powerful intermediaries in AI hereafter. The technique presented in this paper can be employed in the excavation of tasks related to regional innovation or in fields such as social issue visualization.

  • Objectives : Herbal formula consist of multiple herbs, which can potentially interact with conventional drugs. If these interactions are not properly understood, they may reduce treatment efficacy or cause unexpected side effects. Thus, this study collected and analyzed papers on herbal formula and conventional drug interactions from PubMed to analyze various research trends. Methods : To analyze research trends on herbal formula and drug interactions, we first created search queries using a dictionary of herbal formula terms and collected related papers from PubMed using the Entrez API. The PubTator API was applied to identify compound names in the abstracts, recognizing compounds registered in the DrugBank as conventional drugs. Sentences describing interactions between herbal formulas and drugs were extracted using pattern matching, and relevant papers were selected. Trends were then analyzed by year, country, major formulas, major drugs, and interaction networks. Results : Yearly analysis showed a gradual increase in paper counts with a significant rise after 2010. Country analysis revealed that China published the most papers (53), followed by Japan (19) and South Korea (8). formula analysis identified 'sosiho-tang' and 'siryung-tang' as the most frequently mentioned (7 times each). Drug analysis showed '5-fluorouracil', 'acetaminophen', 'entecavir', and 'streptozotocin' were the most frequently mentioned (4 times each). Network analysis revealed 'sosiho-tang and tolbutamide' and 'siryung-tang and prednisolone' as the most frequently, mentioned interactions (3 times each). Disease analysis indicated 'urogenital diseases' were the most discussed (32 mentions), Followed by 'pathological conditions, signs, and symptoms' and 'digestive system diseases' (25 mentions each). • Purpose: This study analyzed research trends related to childhood and adolescent cancer survivors (CACS) using word co-occurrence network analysis on studies registered in the Korean Citation Index (KCI). Methods: This word co-occurrence network analysis study explored major research trends by constructing a network based on relationships between keywords (semantic morphemes) in the abstracts of published articles. Research articles published in the KCI over the past 10 years were collected using the Biblio Data Collector tool included in the NetMiner Program (version 4), using "cancer survivors", "adolescent", and "child" as the main search terms. After pre-processing, analyses were conducted on centrality (degree and eigenvector), cohesion (community), and topic modeling. Results: For centrality, the top 10 keywords included "treatment", "factor", "intervention", "group", "radiotherapy", "health", "risk", "measurement", "outcome", and "quality of life". In terms of cohesion and topic analysis, three categories were identified as the major research trends: "treatment and complications", "adaptation and support needs", and "management and quality of life". Conclusion: The keywords from the three main categories reflected interdisciplinary identification. Many studies on adaptation and support needs were identified in our analysis of nursing literature. Further research on managing and evaluating the quality of life among CACS must also be conducted.
