The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of airline's retention equity on customer positive exclusive behavior intention and to minimize customer churn based maintenance is aimed to derive key variables in air transport market. A survey was conducted Incheon and Gimpo airport to use in the national carrier of domestic air travelers. A total of 480 respondents completed a survey. The result reveal that loyalty program, preferential treatment & acknowledgement program, and community program have significantly effect on positive behavior intention. However, preferential treatment & acknowledgement program, and community program have significantly effect on exclusive behavior intention. It showed that they are more influence than loyalty program as a switching barrier of airlines. The academic and practical implication of this study has been identified in the competitive market to maximize customer retention factors of maintaining retention equity to derive empirical strategic priorities.
This study was conducted to verify the effectiveness of a combined exercise program to improve the health of the elderly. For this purpose, 10 people in the exercise group and 10 in the control group were selected among seniors aged 65 years or older. The subject of this study was a 12-week combined exercise program in which aerobic and anaerobic exercise were performed three times a week for 60 minutes. Before participating in exercise, blood lipid and inflammatory index tests were conducted, and blood lipid and inflammatory index tests were conducted upon completion of the combined exercise program. The test results were verified with basic statistics and treatment effects between groups using the SPSS statistical program. Based on this, the following conclusions were obtained. First, the combined exercise program for elderly health promotion showed significant differences in TC, LDL, and TG in blood lipids between the exercise group and the control group, and there was an interaction effect on the treatment program. Second, the combined exercise program for improving the health of the elderly showed significant differences in inflammatory indicators IL-6 and TNF-a between the exercise group and the control group, and there was an interaction effect with the treatment program.
Background: The objectives of this study were to identify the reasons of quitting smoking, to determine the factors that make it difficult or helpful to maintain smoking cessation and to confirm the changes after the smoking cessation. Methods: This study was conducted an in-depth interview with people who participated in the smoking cessation treatment program. There were 10 participants and they were interviewed thoroughly for 14 times. Using the directed content analysis, we analyzed the transcript which was written by recording the interview and the researchers' note. Results: The results of this study are summarized as 'the experience while at the verge of smoking cessation and stepping over the verge of smoking cessation,' 'the changing experience due to smoking cessation,' and 'maintaining the changes through overcoming re-smoking.' The smoking cessation treatment program induced the smokers to quit smoking. Participants mentioned drinking alcohol was the major obstacle to maintain smoking cessation. Also, they noted that the money and the time that were already spent to quit smoking helped their smoking cessation as well as the social relations which helped to prevent re-smoking. Participants felt well-cared through the smoking cessation treatment program and that it helped them to maintain smoking cessation. Conclusion: Smoking cessation treatment program has a positive effect on the smoking cessation trial and maintenance. In order for smokers to overcome re-smoking, educations regarding drinking problem, formation of supportive social relationship, and the applications for smoking cessation will be beneficial.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a small group collaboration learning program through MBTI on nursing professional self-concept and career maturity of nursing college students. Method: A randomized control pre-post test experimental research design was used. There were 30 sophomore nursing students in the experimental group and 30 in the control group randomly assigned and randomly selected from the nursing program of T University in Daegu, Korea. The program through MBTI was developed by Kwon (2002) using a program by Shim and Kim (1997) as treatment. The experimental group received the program through MBTI for 30 hours (2 times a week for 15 weeks) while the control group received no treatment except a series of tests. Measures were the MBTI test, nursing professional self-concept scale, and career maturity scale. The data were analyzed with SPSS Win 17.0 program, chi-square test, and t-test. Result: The experimental group which received the program through MBTI had a higher score of nursing professional self-concept and career maturity change than the control group. Conclusion: A small group collaboration learning program through MBTI was effective in increasing nursing professional self-concept and career maturity of nursing college students.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of a competency based safety and quality improving education program for undergraduate nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental study of a non-equivalent control group pre and post test design was used. The participants were sixty-eight undergraduate nursing students recruited from the two universities in G and M cities. They were assigned to either a treatment group (n=35) or a comparison group (n=33). A five-day educational program developed based on the ADDIE Instructional Design Model was offered to the treatment group whereas the comparison group did not receive any instruction. Data were collected using self-report structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 with the $x^2$ test, and independent t-test. Results: The students in the treatment group reported significant positive changes for patient safety knowledge, skill and perception of quality and safety competencies. Conclusion: Findings from this study supports that competency based quality improving and safety education program is a useful intervention strategy to promote student's knowledge, skill and perception of quality and safety competencies.
Purpose: This study examined the effects of a yoga exercise program on stress response, physical fitness and self-esteem among middle-aged women. Methods: Participants were 39 middle-aged females from District Y in Seoul who were assigned to either a treatment (N=19) or to a control group (N=20). The treatment participated three times a week in a yoga exercise program which included classes and practices. Data collection instruments included the Symptoms of Stress Inventory (1977), the Rosenberg's self-esteem scale (1965) and measurements of grip strength, flexibility and balance. The data were analyzed using the SPSS-WIN 12.0 program. Results: The treatment group had significantly lower score for stress response (t=-6.18, p<.001) and higher scores on grip strength (t=2.52, p=.018), balance (t=3.24, p=.003), and self-esteem (t=4.46, p<.001). There was no significant difference in flexibility (F=0.51, p=.479). Conclusion: The yoga exercise program can be used as a nursing intervention for middle-aged women to reduce stress and improve self-esteem.

Purpose: The purposes of this study were to develop an acceptance commitment-based cognitive behavioral program for patients with schizophrenia and to use it as an intervention tool for psychiatric mental health nursing and thereby confirm the program's effects on patients' psychological flexibility, psychological well-being, and treatment adherence including insight and attitude toward treatment. Methods: This study consisted of a pretest, posttest 1, and posttest 2 for a nonequivalent control group design. The participants were 42 patients with schizophrenia (experimental group: 21, control group: 21). The acceptance commitment-based cognitive behavioral program was conducted in 10 sessions for 5 weeks. Data collected from February to April 2018 were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 25.0 for $x^2$ test, Fisher's exact test, independent t-test, and repeated measurement ANOVA. Results: The differences between experimental and control groups were statistically significant regarding psychological flexibility, psychological well-being, and insight. Conclusion: This study findings suggest that the acceptance commitment-based cognitive behavioral program can be used as an effective mental health nursing intervention for psychological flexibility, psychological well-being, and insight of patients with schizophrenia.
Obesity in children is a major concern of public health. This study was performed to illuminate its effect on weight control program and the associated factors of obesity-related habits and obesity index in primary school obese children. Weight control program consisted of behavioral modification, nutrition education and exercise during 17 weeks. The sample consisted of treatment group(n=42) and control group(n=41). There was no statistical difference between the two groups in obesity index, socioeconomic status and grade. To assess the effects of weight control program, the subjects were given pre-test and post-test such as the measurement of anthropometric values and self-reporting questionnaire. This result of this study were as follows; 1. After weight control program was applied, there was a significant decrease in obesity index among the treatment group. Obesity-related habits score of the treatment group increased significantly, While there was not much difference between the pre-test and the post-test among the control group. But exercise habit didn't increase significantly in the both groups. 2. Correlation between obesity-related habits and obesity index were not evident. 3. After application of weight control program, the factors associated with change of eating habit were children's past experience of weight control, motivational change toward weight control program and friends' support for treatment group. The factors associated with change of exercise habit were post-test motivation score and friends' support. Motivational change toward weight control and pre-test self-efficacy of exercise behavior were counter-related to exercise habit. For change of other obesity-related habits, initial obesity index, motivational change, post-test self-efficacy score of exercise behavior and paternal educational status were closely associated. But post-test self-efficacy score of eating behavior was unrelated. 4. Only the factor of experience of weight control was associated with change of obesity index. 5. For the both groups, the factors associated with change of eating habits were post-test self-efficacy of eating behavior and family's support. The factors associated with change of exercise behavior were self-efficacy changes of exercise behavior and friends' support. The factors associated with change of other obesity-related habits were self-efficacy change of eating behavior. Initial obesity index was associated with change of obesity index. 6. The rate of dropouts from weight control program was 28.6% (12/42) in treatment group. Initial obesity index, other obesity-related habits except eating exercise habits, friend's support were associated with dropout. In conclusion, these results indicated that weight control program in primary school settings was effective. Direct exercise regimen and practice was demanded. In addition to the program itself, much of the success is dependent on the degree of motivation of the children involved and support provided by their parents and friends. Further study need to be performed under the condition that the weight control progrom is applied for a longer period.
The purpose of this study was to test the effects of a epilepsy education program as a nursing intervention for patients with epilepsy. A quasi treatment research (non equivalent control group pretest-posttest design) was used in this study. The subjects were 40 epilepsy patients visiting an outpatient department of a general hospital in Daegu city.(treatment group : 20 patients, control group : 20 patients). The study was carried out from June, 1998 to September, 1998. Data was collected before the education program (pretest), immedately after(posttest 1) and 4 weeks later(posttest 2) and were analyzed with repeated measures ANOVA, t-test, Chi-sqare test and Pearson correlation coefficient. The results are as follows : There was a significant difference in epilepsy self efficacy between two groups(F=26.27, p=.000). There was a significant difference according to pretest, posttest 1 and posttest 2(F=111.20, p=.000), and interaction effect between treatment and time(F=109.42, p=.000). There was a significant difference in epilepsy self management between two groups(F=78.02, p=.000). There was a significant difference according to pretest, posttest 1 and posttest 2 test(F=94.02, p=.000), and interaction effect between treatment and time(F=88.14, p=.000). There was a significant correlation(r=.76, p=.000) between epilepsy self efficacy and epilepsy self management. These results suggest that a epilepsy education program is effective ill promoting self efficacy and self management of the patient with epilepsy. Thus this program can be recommended as an effective nursing intervention for the epilepsy patients.
The purpose of this study is to develop an emotional management program on adolescents' happiness and psychological well-being. The participants were 100 students from two middle schools located in Seoul. Half of them were assigned to the treatment group, and the other half were assigned to the control group. Students in the treatment group participated in an emotional management program for 8 weeks. All of the participants' happiness and psychological well-being scores were measured before and after implementation of the program. The pre-test scores of both groups indicated that they were homogeneous. However, as for the post-test, the happiness score of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group. Also, the scores of the treatment group on six subdimensions of psychological well-being were higher than those of the control group. These results imply that the emotional management program has a significant, positive effect on adolescents' happiness and psychological well-being.
