Nickel(II) nitrate hexahydrate를 전구체로 사용한 산화니켈(NiO) 나노입자의 합성 (Synthesis of Nickel Oxide (NiO) nanoparticles using nickel(II) nitrate hexahydrate as a precursor)

  • 질산니켈육수화물염(nickel(II) nitrate hexahydrate) 수용액을 공업용 펄프에 함침시킨 전구체를 이용하여 세라믹스 분말을 제조하는 간단한 액상 합성법으로 산화니켈(NiO) 나노입자를 성공적으로 합성하였다. 질산니켈육수화물염 수용액이 함침된 전구체의 미세구조를 주사전자현미경(SEM)으로 확인하였고, 전구체의 열처리온도 증가에 따라 생성되는 산화니켈(NiO) 입자의 결정구조 및 입자크기를 X선회절분석(XRD) 및 SEM으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 전구체의 유기물질이 완전하게 열분해 되는 온도는 495-500℃이며, 열처리 온도의 증가에 따라 생성되는 산화니켈 입자의 크기 및 결정성이 증가하는 것을 XRD, SEM 분석을 통하여 확인하였다. 500-800℃에서 각각 1시간 동안 열처리하여 얻어진 산화니켈 입자의 크기는 50-200nm였다. 열처리 온도 380℃에서 NiO 결정상이 형성되고, 800℃까지는 NiO 단일상만 존재하며, 열처리 온도가 높아짐에 따라 생성되는 입자의 크기가 커지고 있음을 XRD 및 SEM 분석으로 확인하였다.

액상프리커서법에 의한 산화구리(CuO) 나노 입자의 합성 (Synthesis of CuO nanoparticles by liquid phase precursor process)

  • 질산구리삼수화물염(copper(II) nitrate trihydrate) 수용액을 공업용 전분(starch)에 함침 시킨 전구체를 이용하여 산화구리(CuO) 나노 입자를 합성하였다. 주사전자현미경(SEM)을 통하여 질산구리삼수화물염 수용액이 함침된 전구체에 대한 구조를 분석하였고, 전구체에 대한 열처리 온도를 증가 시킴에 따라 생성되는 산화구리 입자의 입자 크기와 결정 구조를 X선회절분석법(XRD)과 주사전자현미경(SEM)으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과에 따르면, 전구체에서 유기물질이 완전히 열분해 되어지는 온도는 450-490℃이며, 열처리하는 온도가 증가함에 따라 생성되는 산화구리 입자의 크기와 결정성이 증가하는 것을 확인할 수 있었고, 또한 500-800℃에서 1시간씩 열처리하여 얻은 산화구리 입자의 크기는 100nm-2㎛인 것으로 나타났다. 하소 온도 400℃에서 산화구리 결정상이 형성되고, 800℃까지는 산화구리 단일상만 존재하며, 하소 온도의 증가에 따라 생성되는 입자의 크기가 커지는 것을 확인하였다.

Doula식 분만간호가 초산부의 분만중 분만스트레스로 인한 혈장 베타엔돌핀, 혈청 코티졸 및 분만후 상태불안에 미치는 효과 - 임상 실험연구 - (Effects of Doula-type-delivery Nursing Care on Plasma $\beta$-Endorphin, Serum Cortisol related to Delivery Stress during Labor, and Postpartum Status Anxiety of Primipara - Clinical trial -)

  • This study was designed to verify the effect of Doula-type-delivery nursing care on plasma $\beta$-endorphin, serum cortisol, related to delivery stress during labor, and postpartum anxiety of primipara by a quasi experiment(nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design), from December, 1999 to August, 2000. The subjects of this experiment consisted of sixty eight primipara, with single gestation, full term, uncomplicated pregnancies, thirty three for the experimental group and thirty five for the control group. Their mean age was 26.1 years for the experimental group and 25.5 years for the control group. Their mean gestation period was 39.7 weeks for the experimental group and 40.1 weeks for the control group. As treatment, Doula-type-delivery nursing care was given for the experimental group. Data assessed plasma $\beta$-endorphin, serum cortisol during labor, and anxiety during postpartum. Plasma $\beta$-endorphin, serum cortisol were measured in the latent phase before treatment(pre-test) and the transition phase after treatment(posttest). Also, anxiety was measured in the latent phase before treatment(pre-test) and 24 hours postpartum after treatment(posttest). Data was analyzed by t-test, $x^2$-test, Repeated measures ANOVA with SAS Program. The results of this study were as follows; 1. Plasma $\beta$-endorphin was significantly elevated in the experimental group who were cared for with Doula-type-delivery nursing care during labor(P=.0463). 2. No significant group effects were found, but significant time effects were found for serum cortisol. 3. The postpartum anxiety of the experimental group was significantly lower than the control group(P=.0110). In conclusion, these findings indicate that Doula-type-delivery nursing care during labor could be effective in increasing maternal plasma $\beta$-endorphin and decreasing postpartum anxiety. Doula-type-delivery nursing care during labor could be applied as an effective nursing treatment for primipara.

용체화처리한 AZ91-X%Sn 마그네슘 합금의 부식 저항성 변화 (Change in Corrosion Resistance of Solution-Treated AZ91-X%Sn Magnesium Alloys)

  • The effects of Sn addition and solution treatment on corrosion behavior were studied in AZ91 magnesium casting alloy. The addition of 5%Sn contributed to the introduction of $Mg_2Sn$ phase, to the reduction in dendritic cell size and to the increase in the amount of secondary phases. After the solution treatment, trace amount of $Al_8Mn_5$ particles were observed in the ${\alpha}$-(Mg) matrix for the AZ91 alloy, while $Mg_2Sn$ phase with high thermal stability was additionally found in the AZ91-5%Sn alloy. Before the solution treatment, the AZ91-5%Sn alloy had better corrosion resistance than the Sn-free alloy, which is caused by the enhanced barrier effect of the (${\beta}+Mg_2Sn$) phases formed more continuously along the dendritic cell boundaries. It is interesting to note that after the solution treatment, the corrosion rate of both alloys became increased, but the Sn-added alloy showed higher corrosion rate than the Sn-free alloy. The microstructural examination on the corroded surfaces revealed that the remaining $Mg_2Sn$ particles in the solution-treated AZ91-5%Sn alloy play a role in accelerating corrosion by galvanic coupling with the ${\alpha}$-(Mg) matrix.

  • In this study, we investigated the precipitation behavior of the R-phase precipitated at the initial stage of aging and its effects on the mechanical properties of 25%Cr-7%Ni-2%Mo-4%W super duplex stainless steel. The R-phase was mainly precipitated at the interface of ferrite/austenite phases and inside of the ferrite phase during the initial stage of aging. It was transformed into the ${\sigma}$-phase with an increase of the aging time. The ferrite phase was decomposed into a new austenite(${\gamma}_2$)phase and the ${\sigma}$-phase by an aging treatment. The R phase was an intermetallic compound showing higher molybdenum and tungsten concentrations than the matrix and also showed higher molybdenum and tungsten concentrations than the ${\sigma}$ phase. In the initial stage of aging, precipitation of the R-phase did not change the hardness, the strength and the elongation. The hardness and the strength increased upon a longer aging time, but the elongation rapidly decreased. These results show that the R-phase did not significantly affect the hardness and the strength, though it did influence the elongation.

구강방어아동을 위한 능동적 구강놀이와 ASI적용효과 : 단일사례연구 (Effects of Active Oral Play and Ayres Sensory Integration (ASI®) for Child With Oral Defensiveness: Single Subject Research)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 능동적 구강놀이 병행한 Ayres Sensory Integration®(ASI®) 적용이 아동의 구강 민감도와 섭식행동의 문제에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 발달지연으로 진단받은 만 3세 6개월의 남자 아동을 대상으로 2018년 8월부터 2018년 9월까지 능동적 구강놀이 병행한 Ayres Sensory Integration®(ASI®)를 실시하였다. 실험설계는 단일사례연구(single-subject design) 중 ABA'설계를 사용하였고 15회기의 중재를 시행하였다. 중재기간 동안 아동의 구강민감도 변화를 측정하기 위해 임상 구강민감도 측정(Measuring Oral Sensitivity in Practice)을 실시하였다. 구강감각처리 어려움으로 섭식활동에 영향을 주는 행동은 한국형 섭취 행동 검사(Korean Children's Eating Behavior Inventory; K-CEBI), 식품 섭취 빈도 체크리스트를 중재 전후로 실시하였다. 결과 : 능동적 구강놀이와 ASI 중재기간 동안 임상 구강민감도와 섭취행동의 문제는 감소하였고 편식행동에는 변화가 없었다. 결론 : 능동적 구강놀이 병행한 ASI 중재는 아동의 구강민감도와 섭취행동의 문제를 감소하는데 긍정적인 효과가 있었다.

  • The corrosion behaviors of laser-welded super duplex stainless steel tubes with post-weld heat treatment(PWHT) conditions(950, 1000, 1050, 1100 ℃ for 5 and 30 min) were evaluated by electrochemical potentiodynamic polarization and critical pitting temperature measurements. This study showed that the critical metallurgical factors affecting the degradation of corrosion resistance of a steel tube in as-welded condition were the unbalanced phase fraction(ferrite:austenite = 94:4), Cr2N precipitation, and phase transformation from the austenite phase to ɛ-martensite(via stress-induced phase transformation). The improvement in the corrosion resistance of the welded specimen depends greatly on the PWHT conditions. The specimens after PWHT conducted below 1000 ℃ showed inferior corrosion resistance, caused by precipitation of the sigma phase enriched with Cr and Mo. At 1100 ℃ for a longer duration in PWHT, the ferrite phase grows, and its fraction increases, leading to an unbalanced phase fraction in the microstructure. As a result, pitting can be initiated primarily at the interface between the ferrite/austenite phase, particularly in base metal.

Epidemiologic Changes in Over 10 Years of Community-Acquired Bacterial Enteritis in Children

  • Purpose: Community-acquired bacterial enteritis (CABE) is a common problem in developed countries. It is important to understand the epidemiologic changes in bacterial pathogens for prevention and treatment. Therefore, we studied the epidemiologic changes in CABE in Korean children. Methods: A total of 197 hospitalized pediatric patients aged <19 years that presented with dysentery symptoms and showed positive polymerase chain reaction results for bacterial species in stool samples, were enrolled in this study for 10 years (June 2010 to June 2020). We classified patients in phase I (06, 2010-06, 2015) and phase II (07, 2015-06, 2020) and analyzed their epidemiologic and clinical characteristics. Results: The most common pathogens were Campylobacter species (42.6%) and Salmonella species were the second most common pathogens (23.9%). The abundance of pathogens decreased in the following order: Clostridium difficile (9.6%), Shigella (5.6%), and Clostridium perfringens (5.6%). Escherichia coli O157:H7 was found to be the rarest pathogen (2.0%). Campylobacter species showed an increase in the infection rate from 32.1% in phase I to 49.6% in phase II (p=0.0011). Shigella species showed a decline in the infection rate in phase I from 14.1% to 0.0% in phase II (p<0.001). C. difficile and C. perfringens showed an increase in infection rate in phase II compared to phase I, but the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: The infection rate of Campylobacter species in CABE has been rising more recently, reaching almost 50%. This study may help establish policies for prevention and treatment of CABE in Korean children.

Mathematical Model for a Three-Phase Fluidized Bed Biofilm Reactor in Wastewater Treatment

  • A mathematical model for a three phase fluidized bed bioreactor (TFBBR) was proposed to describe oxygen utilization rate, biomass concentration and the removal efficiency of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) in wastewater treatment. The model consisted of the biofilm model to describe the oxygen uptake rate and the hydraulic model to describe flow characteristics to cause the oxygen distribution in the reactor. The biofilm model represented the oxygen uptake rate by individual bioparticle and the hydrodynamics of fluids presented an axial dispersion flow with back mixing in the liquid phase and a plug flow in the gas phase. The difference of setting velocity along the column height due to the distributions of size and number of bioparticle was considered. The proposed model was able to predict the biomass concentration and the dissolved oxygen concentration along the column height. The removal efficiency of COD was calculated based on the oxygen consumption amounts that were obtained from the dissolved oxygen concentration. The predicted oxygen concentration by the proposed model agreed reasonably well with experimental measurement in a TFBBR. The effects of various operating parameters on the oxygen concentration were simulated based on the proposed model. The media size and media density affected the performance of a TFBBR. The dissolved oxygen concentration was significantly affected by the superficial liquid velocity but the removal efficiency of COD was significantly affected by the superficial gas velocity.

TNT 오염토양의 생물학적 처리에 대한 Vibrio Fischeri 독성 평가 (Evaluation of Vibrio Fischeri Toxicity for Biological Treatment of TNT-contaminated Soil)

  • 본 연구는 TNT 오염토양을 콤포스팅과 슬러리생물상으로 처리 후 형광미생물을 이용하여 독성을 평가하고자 실시되었으며, 운전기간은 각각 45일과 200일이었다. 콤포스팅 처리 후 C/N비 조절용으로 아세톤을 첨가한 경우의 GL값은 40으로 글루코오스를 첨가한 경우(GL 80)보다 낮아 독성이 더 많이 제거되었다. 혐기성, 혐기성/호기성, 그리고 호기성 조건의 슬러리생물상으로 처리 후 GL값은 각각 6, 8, 4로 나타나 독성이 거의 없는 수준까지 크게 감소하였다. GL값과 S. typhimurium 수의 상관도는 1차식으로 표현이 가능하였으며, 생물학적 처리에 따른 미생물독성과 돌연변이성 변화는 비교적 높은 상관도 (r > 0.8890)를 나타내었다.
