  • This study examined how Ji-Won Park(Yeonam) created the eaning of things based on the epic of self and how his travel experience manifested on the epic of self. First of all, the author examined that how Yeonam interpreted the meaning of things based on his own reflection using the examples of "The Golden Arbor" and "Baeki-Sukje." As a result, the author found that Yeonam focused on the material value of "the Golden Arbor" rather than the reason of creation of "The Golden Arbor." Yeonam also used "Baeki-Sukje" as an ironic representation rather than the original meaning of loyalty and integrity. Second, it helped to present personal self epic since travel experience and the atmosphere of the travel journey could reduce the pressure from the epic of society on individuals. For instance, when Ji-Won Park (Yeonman) traveled the China (the country of Chung) where society promoted public welfare, Yeonman was able to express himself freely which showed utilitarian over justice. Finally, the author talked about how a book of travels can be used for the case of literature therapy since "Yeulhailgi" was written by Yeonam while he was traveling. The author indicated that it might be useful for the patients to write own travel journey since the therapist could analyze the mind of patients by the epic of self. In addition, using a book of travels also can be valuable for the patients since the therapist could analyze the condition of patients as well as help patients see through themselves while reading a book of travels.

  • This study analyzes and examines the travel behavior of Chinese people in Korea through a questionnaire survey of Chinese people who are long-term residents in Korea using Xiaohongshu App (RED). In this study, we add some variables to the MTEs (Memorable Tourism Experiences) model to analyze the travel behavior of Chinese people who are in Korea for a long period of time. We also chose to survey the users of Xiaohongshu App (RED), a popular software in recent years, and found the following findings in 240 valid questionnaires: (1) Scenery, Entertainment, and Informativeness have positive effects on people sharing travel experiences, while interaction does not. (2) Sharing travel experiences had a positive effect on travel satisfaction and the intention to go to other destinations, and travel satisfaction had a positive effect on the intention to go to other destinations. This paper extends the literature on tourism by combining MTEs and UGC (User-Generated Content) models, and also provides relevant suggestions for further research on the travel behavior of foreigners in Korea.

  • With the development of society, changes in the family structure of China's residents and the increase in family income, parent-child travel has gradually become a new hotspot for tourism consumption. It is important for tourism marketers to understand the needs and motivations of parent-child travelers. This study explored the push and pull motivations of parent-child travelers by conducting a questionnaire survey of 290 travelers to parent-child farms and validated the path relationships between push and pull motivations, experiences and behavioral intentions. The result indicated that: 3 push factors were derived from the factor analysis of 13 push items and were named as 'For children & Family', 'Escape & Relax', and 'Socialization'; 3 pull factors were derived from the factor analysis of 11 pull items and were labeled: 'Facilities & Safety', 'Theme activities', and 'Environment'. Through sub hypotheses testing, the results show that push-pull motivation of parent-child travelers has a positive effect on their experience(4Es) for attending. 'Esthetics Experience' has the highest effect on the parent-child travelers' behavioral intentions, followed by 'Education Experience' and 'Entertainment Experience'.

  • VIRTUAL REALITY is a technology that enables users to experience environments that are difficult to experience, such as games, medical care, defense, and manufacturing industries. In this study, we propose the development of contents that can utilize the virtual reality technology to taste the destinations to travel in advance and to select the places to travel. Generally, when you decide on a destination, use the website or booklet to search for information about the destination. In recent years, applications that recommend travel destinations have also been developed and utilized. However, if information about travel destinations is implemented as a virtual reality, it will be possible to obtain more reliable and realistic information. Like Google Maps VR, you can show the globe as a whole, zoom in or out, and click on a keyword to recommend a tourist destination that matches the keyword. It uses internet browsing cookies to automatically display tourist attractions according to user's interest.

  • The purpose of this study is to develope an algorithm which generates trip plans based on rating points of travel app users and travel experts to help potential travellers experience their desired destinations in advance. This algorithm uses the above rating points and the gradually created hierarchy to generate the most preferred and efficient trip courses. Users can go through video clips or panoramic VR videos of the actual destinations from their trip plans generated by the algorithm which may add excitement to their actual trips. With our heuristic methods, the more users input their ratings, the better trip plans can be generated. This algorithm has been tested on android OS and proven efficient in generating trip plans. This research introduces a way to experience travel destinations with panoramic VR video and proposes the algorithm which generates trip plans based on users' ratings. It is expected to be useful for travellers' trip planning and to contribute growth in the travel market.

The study was to establish the strategy for Korean tourism enterprises to develop tourist commodities suitable for Chinese tourists and attract them to visit Korea by the empirical analysis of the relation between repurchase intention of tourists and its premise variables (e-service quality, perceived value and satisfaction). Research design, data, and methodology - This research carried out a questionnaire survey on Chinese tourists who visited Korea with experience of using the online travel agency web sites. A total 398 answers were recovered, 41 of them were excluded due to the dishonest answers and 357 of them were finally analyzed. The data was analyzed with IBM SPSS AMOS 22.0. Results - The research results show that in the online travel agency web site e-service quality, convenience, interactivity, information validity, credibility had a positive impacts on perceived value and satisfaction. The perceived value of online travel agency website users has positive impart on satisfaction and repurchase intention. Satisfaction of online travel agency web site users have positive impacts on repurchase intention. But safety has no impact on perceived value while positive impacts on satisfaction was affected. Conclusions - First, in the online travel agency web site e-service quality, safety has no impact on perceived value while it was shown to have positive impacts on satisfaction because the users of online travel agency web sites believe that the protection of personal information, the defense of cracker and the safeguard of payment security are the basic premises of website operation. Although safety does not have impacts on perceived value, users benefits will suffer damage when hacker intrusion and other accidents occur so that online travel agency web sites should not ignore the security concerns. Second, credibility is a major concern for online travel agency web site users. At this time, it is necessary for the web site to establish a system to display both the commodity information and the using experience published on the user's SNS, thus improving the credibility of the website information.

  • Recently, the number of elderly people residing in nursing homes has increased rapidly due to the increase in the elderly population and the introduction of long-term care insurance. These long-term care patients suffer from chronic illnesses and dementia, and thus suffer from inconveniences or lack of cognitive ability. Thus, psychological and emotional support is urgent because they are depressed away from their families. Therefore, in this paper, we aim to provide a virtual experience of overseas trips by using VR and Photon networks for elderly patients with mobility difficulties. Existing VR-based travel experience service is doing alone, but the proposed contents can enjoy the scenery together with the view of the family member as well as the conversation during the travel experience. It is expected that the elderly patients with long - term care will be able to restore their psychological stability and improve their willingness to heal and improve their quality of life from the proposed application.
