  • Apnea refers to episode of apnea (or not breathing) lasting more than 10 seconds that occur while sleeping. These episodes, whitch can occur hundreds of times per night, may transiently awaken resulting in fragmentation of sleep. Although the precise cause of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome(SIDS) are still unclear, there is evidence to suggest that hypoxaemia may be a contributory actor. Transcutaneous oxygen monitor can be used, but it is very difficult to use or baby stayed at home. In this reason, monitors whitch is easy or deal with are reqiured. In 1972, Steinschieder reported that two of the five infants noted to have apnea lasting or more than 20 seconds later died of SIDS episode, he also suggested that home monitoring or neonates should be used or managing apnea at home. Transthoracic electrical impedance technique is used or acquiring respiration waveform and detecting episode of apnea state. Transthoracic electrical impedance measurements have been made from the human trunk over the frequency range 9.6KHz to 614KHz. We conclude that application of impedance technique or detecting apnea state is proper or neonates.

양손 임피던스법에 의한 SV 측정의 정확도 향상을 위한 연구 (A Study on Improvement of the Accuracy of SV Measurement obtained by Hand to Hand Impedance.)

  • The purpose of this study is to measurement the cardiac output using hand to hand impedance method to provide convenience to user when measuring SV(stroke volume) with the use of ICG(Impedance Cardiography). We suggest the optimized modified formula, which can be applied when using impedance with the use of hand to hand Impedance. To verify this formula, a SV from transthoracic approach and hand to hand approach are compared for the 36 subjects, respectively. The acquired data was analyzed by using LabVIEW 8.6, analysis was implemented by SPSS 12.0. Fine difference was shown by individual. We showed that as a result of analyzing the ICG measurement value on thoracic and hand to hand, the correlation with SV was r=0.716, thereby having indicated the results of regression model in relatively high correlation.

제세동기의 최적파형 발생을 위한 회로 파라미터에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Circuit Parameter for the Optimum Waveform of Defibrillator)

  • In designing defibrillator several points must be considered such as patient's transthoracic impedance, output energy level, peak current, tine duration of current waveform. Patient's transthoracic impedance depends on patient respectively and the health condition of patient. In this study, before the hardware implementation of defibrillator we determine the range of parameter values of circuit elements to derive optimal discharge waveform by predicting and analyzing the performance of designed circuit.

제세동기 최적 파라미터 설계 (Optimum Parameter Design for Defibrillator)

  • 제세동기는 심장마비가 진행되는 동안 발생하는 심장의 '심실세동'으로 알려진 발작적인 떨림을 제거하기 위해서 환자의 심장에 전기적 충격을 주는 의료기기이다. 본 연구에서는 제세동기에 개발 및 성능개선시 고려되어야 할 전기회로 각 요소 값들을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 결정하였고, 이를 근거로 하여 제세동기를 개발하였으며, 제세동기 분석기를 통하여 개발된 제세동기의 성능을 시험하였다. 구체적으로, 심장의 심실세동을 제거하기 위하여 필요한 에너지 레벨, 전류의 크기, 횡흉부 저항 등과 같은 요소들간의 관계를 구명하였고, 제세동기 전기회로의 성능을 예측 분석하여 최적의 방전파형을 얻기 위한 회로소자의 매개변수 값 범위를 결정하였으며, 제세동기 성능분석기를 이용하여 개발된 제세동기의 성능을 시험하였다.
