Korea has very strong shipbuilding industry in the world, so many new ships are constructed in Korean shipyards. These built vessels are carrying out sea trial at sea before delivering to shipowner, and sea trial ships cause navigation risk to other passing vessels to accomplish sea trial tests as quick turning, zigzag maneuvering and crash astern etc. in traffic congestion conditions. It occurred more than 1 collision accident related sea trial for recent 5 years. It has been increased about 30% of risk because of navigation of sea trial vessel by marine traffic flow simulation. This paper analyzed marine traffic density surveyed by AIS data for 7 days, and investigated position of marine accidents for 5 years in Korean coastal waterway, it established the sea trial prohibition areas as 10/100 level of total marine traffic volume, which is considered no danger for ship operator. This analyzed maritime safety law for setting of the prohibition waters to propose the basic legal system. It makes contribution to marine pollution prevention by setting of the sea trial prohibition water to improve the ship's navigation safety.

Since 2008, China's shipping industry has been in a slump, with shipbuilding orders falling sharply, and high-growth excess capacity has become increasingly apparent, leaving many firms with sharply reduced orders at risk of bankruptcy and shutdown. To ensure the development of the shipbuilding industry and enhance the international competitiveness of the shipbuilding industry, it is necessary to analyze the present situation of the shipbuilding industry and the financial situation of the shipbuilding enterprises. And analyzing the problems faced by enterprises from the perspective of capital structure is very meaningful to the shipbuilders with high capital operation. We are trying to analyze the determinants of capital structure of China's shipbuilding listed companies. 30 listed Chinese shipbuilding and listed companies have been designated as sample companies that can obtain financial statements for 13 consecutive years. They also divided 30 sample companies into shipbuilding, shipbuilding-related manufacturing, and shipbuilding-related transportation. Dependent variable is the debt level of the year, independent variable includes the debt level of the previous year, fixed asset ratio, profitability ratio, depreciation cost ratio and asset size. The regression model of the panel used to analyze determinants is capital structure. The results of the empirical analysis are as follows. First, a fixed-effect model for the entire entity showed that the debt-to-equity ratio and the size of the asset in the previous period had a positive effect on the debt-to-equity ratio in the current period. Second, the impact of the profitability ratio on the debt level in the prior term also supports the capital procurement ranking theory rather than the static counter-conflict theory. Third, it was shown that the ratio of the depreciation of the prior term, which replaces the non-liability tax effect, affects the debt-to-equity ratio in the current period.

Recently, the Ministry of Construction and Transportation announced a notice of the legislation related to remove the restriction of construction market activation in advance. he removement is an overwhelming change of the business structure in the Korean construction industry and has a far-reaching influence on general and trade contractors. The purpose of this research was to suggest improvement factors to survive an excessive competition in reinforced concrete market. This research did SWOT analysis to examine the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of reinforced concrete firm, and established business strategies. The factor analysis was also applied with questionnaire survey to staff in charge of reinforced concrete company. It is expected that the suggested improvement factors can give effective business strategies to reinforced concrete firm. Furthermore, trade contractors having difficulty in a bottleneck in management can get help from the result of this research.

The recent trend in modern systems development can be characterized by the increasing complexity in terms of both the functionality and HW/SW scale that seems to be accelerated by the growing user requirements and the rapid advancement of technology. Among the issues of complexity, the one related to systems safety has attracted great deal of attention lately in the development of the products ranging from mass-transportation systems to defence weapon systems. As such, the incorporation of safety requirements in systems development is becoming more important. Note, however, that since such safety-critical systems are usually complex to develop, a lot of organizations and thus, engineers should participate in the development. In general, there seems to be a variety of differences in both the breadth and depth of the technical background they own. To address the problems, at first this paper presents an effective design process for safety-critical systems, which is intended to meet both the systems design and safety requirements. The result is then advanced to obtain the models utilizing the systems modeling language (SysML) that is a de facto industry standard. The use of SysML can facilitate the construction of the integrated process and also foster active communication among many participants of diverse technical backgrounds. As a case study, the model-based development of high-speed trains is discussed.

Although there has been a great change in the Chinese logistics industry, there have been few studies on the research trends of logistics in China. Existing research has been conducted on subdivision topics such as transportation efficiency, warehouse location and port efficiency. In this study, the research trends of logistics in China from 2000 to 2017 were analyzed using SNA method. The data were collected from foreign journals and a total of 82 related papers were used for analysis. The first period (2000-2008) was derived from the top keywords such as "Globalization", "Hong Kong", "FDI" and "outsousing". The results of the second period (2009-2013) were derived from keywords such as "international trade" and "reverse logistics", and in the third period (2013-2017) "3PL", "warehousing", "railways" "supply chain", "economic", "port" and "Belt and Road" The analysis of China's logistics using SNA method shows that the research trend of China's logistics is evolving as China is changing rapidly under the globalization context.

Since early 1950's fracture mechanics has brought significant impact on structural integrity assessment in a wide range of industries such as power, transportation, civil and petrochemical industries, especially in nuclear power plant industries. For the last two decades, significant efforts have been devoted in developing defect assessment procedures, from which various fitness-for-purpose or fitness-for-service codes have been developed. From another aspect, recent advances in IT (Information Technologies) bring rapid changes in various engineering fields. IT enables people to share information through network and thus provides concurrent working environment without limitations of working places. For this reason, a network system based on internet or intranet bas been appeared in various fields of business. Evaluating the integrity of structures is one of the most critical issues in nuclear industry. In order to evaluate the integrity of structures, a complicated and collaborative procedure is required including regular in-service inspection, fracture mechanics analysis, etc. And thus, experts in different fields have to cooperate to resolve the integrity problem. In this paper, an internet-based cooperative system for integrity evaluation system which adapts IT into a structural integrity evaluation procedure for reactor pressure vessel is introduced. The proposed system uses Virtual Reality (VR) technique, Virtual Network Computing (VNC) and agent programs. This system is able to support 3-dimensional virtual reality environment and to provide experts to cooperate by accessing related data through internet.

In order to analyze the distribution channel of marine products in Korea, this study shows SCM approach to redesign of the marine distribution channel with case study related to previous literatures. In view of the supply chain and the future impact of RFID on the marine SCM on the recognition of the importance of the seafood traceability system, this study also provides the possibility to accomplish effective SCM for integration of production, storage, transportation, delivery, and sale when RFID is used in the seafood distribution channel based on the expansion of awareness on the marine product traceability. The traceability system for seafood is considered as the distribution infrastructure established in RFID deployment. By introducing Lotte mart case, this case study also discusses the marine distribution structure in view of the supply chain, to present an effective foundation for supplying seafood throughout production, distribution, and consumption. This is achieved by introducing RFID in an ubiquitous environment, and suggesting far more efficient control planning throughout the seafood distribution channel in view of the expected effects resulting from the introduction. In addition, as the alternative of solving this situation, this study propose the supply chain in seafoods by comprehensive management in whole distribution channels. In the SCM in seafood perspectives, HACCP can take into account the whole seafood chain from the point of supply to the point of consumption when assessing hazards. As the contributions of this study, this study emphasizes the seafood industry first should require the establishment of the relevant infrastructure, for which the efforts of the government and demonstrative project participants are essential.

In the purpose of suggesting the necessity and proper method of providing the standard reference material for acquiring the aircraft pilot license, this study provides the FAA and ROKAF case study, and positively analyzes the materials of 178 pilots and student pilots who acquired the aircraft pilot license. The result of case study shows that compared to the case of Korea which the restriction on the standard reference material providing exists, the FAA(Federal Aviation Administration) and ROKAF are currently providing the standard reference material. Additionally, the result of positive analysis indicates the fact that the necessity of standard reference material providing is well recognized and its importance also found to be remarkably high. These results represent that the standard reference material providing is necessary for training competent aircraft pilots. Also, this will mitigate the current shortage of aircraft pilots due to the rapid growth of air transportation industry, and this will play an important role in preventing diverse aircraft-related accidents.

The purpose of the present study is to identify the differences of customer preference in online and offline used car business. Conjoint analysis is used for examining the attributes of used car choices. As a result, the order of importance in real used car market is as follows: brand, design, price, model, mileage. Whereas the order of importance in online used car market is as follows: brand, trust, price, web design, accident. Accordingly, the author suggested that customer preferences depend on the path people are approaching and the attributes of preference vary in online and real stores. For example, trust and accident are important attributes in online market in comparison with real market. Used car market is increasing and becoming important. The authorities and practitioners need to understand used car market and establish the related policies.

Since Jan. 2004, the Ministry of Construction and Transportation has partly introduced estimation system of historical cost data in order to reflect result cost of construction market to cost estimation for public construction. It is expected that the purpose of the introduction would be evaluated considering the long-term development of domestic construction industry. In article 3, paragraph 4 of the planning criteria of estimated cost of financial regulation related to government contract rule, the profit estimated by historical cost data indicates sales profit and it is calculated by multiplying the sum of direct cost, indirect cost and general overhead by rate of profit. Finally, it is said that rate of profit cannot exceeds 10%. However, there are a lot of constructions for electronic equipment in the electronic construction and the proportion of government furnished material is very high, not like engineering works or constructions. Therefore, as the proportion of material cost over direct cost is relatively lower if current rate of exceeds (10%) is applied, there would be a wide difference of cost in the items of profit under the estimation system of historical cost data. This paper was conducted to examine estimation methods of the items of profit under the estimation system of historical cost data and suggest reasonable applications.
