A Study on the Planning for Geochang-gun High Technology Industrial Complex (거창군 첨단사업단지 계획방향에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzes the feasibility of constructing Geochang high technology industrial complex and present s the site, plan and development strategies. As a result, first, the Wallpyung area, superior form others in site characteristics, accessibility, surrounding facilities, was decided to the plan site. Second, the plan tries to adapt in the environment and maximizes the spatial link and user conveniences. Third, a transportation plan includes a circulation street network that adapt in topography, and considered future traffic situation and accessibility, hierarchy of road etc. Fourth, it also plans to locate a environment-friendly central park in the middle of site and buffer areas along at the outer sites and both sides of the roads. Fifth, for the development, it is advised to construct a public institution which manages the whole project and it is necessary to build a cooperate system.

  • There have a lot of marine accident due to the increasing transportation by sea in accordance with economy growth. Accordingly, ware fully aware of the importance of the development of safety control system so that may prevent the sacrifice of life and disasters on the sea. The objective of this research in to investigate the more effective system by establishing the prevention of safety accident and marine information system as a national project.

An Analysis of Health Care Services for the Elderly in Rural Areas: Its Demand in Projection and Policy Implications (우리나라 농촌지역(시.군 통합모형)의 노인보건의료 자원 수급계획에 관한 연구)

  • This is an effort to project health care resources in need for the elderly in the future when advanced transportation systems would greatly reduce geographical accessibility to health care services for the rural elderly. Two areas, Kimhae and Chuncheon, were selected for the study. Projection of health professionals and health care institutions for the elderly were made based on the analysis for the morbidity and illness behavior reported to two data sources, National Survey for the Elderly in 1992 by Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs and beneficiary data by Korea Medical Insurance Cooperation for those living in the study areas in 1992. Projected number of health professionals and health care institutions were estimated for each area under study in years of 2010 and 2030, with those in a Japanese being used as a standard. Policy implications were discussed.

  • Bridges are critical and valuable components in any road and rail transportation network. Therefore bridge remediation has always been a top priority for asset managers and engineers, but identifying the nature of true defect deterioration and associated remediation treatments remains a complex task. Nowadays Decision Support Systems (DSS) are widely used to assist decision makers across an extensive spectrum of unstructured decision environments. The main objective of this research is to develop a requirements-driven methodology for bridge monitoring and maintenance which has the ability to assess the bridge condition and find the best remediation treatments using Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART); with the aim of maintaining a bridge within acceptable limits of safety, serviceability and sustainability.

  • This project of total city plan is developed for the area of DONGDAEGU station in the field of new city-core which is adapted for a forefront city and rational restructuring of the city space and improving for balanced growth according to the first phase operation of Korean high speed line and its complete construction to BUSAN. Bring a new heart of this city of the area of DONGDAEGU station which is a gateway to DAEGU city so that the area contrives a new creation of the city space, balanced developing and activation of a region economy. Deliberate for plan of private capital for harmonious to develop a territory of station therefore it raises an emblem of DAEGU city and activates an economy of the city according to the new trend of the condition of transportation integrated administration of a large regionand new development of DONGDAEGU station.

  • Recently the Korean Government is increasing investment and interest on railway in the transportation field as "low carbon and green growth" policy become main national development strategy. While railway competitiveness is weakening over the road from the inconvenient door-to-door and transfer system of railway, it is meaningful to review excellent railway transfer system of advanced countries and adapt their implications for Korea. Their transfer systems like Japan, Hongkong, France, U.K. and German can be categorized in this research as kinds of transfer & connectivity system and transfer facility & flow planning, and, as a result, their implications can be concluded. Also, analyzing transfer system of Korea's main stations and reviewing the difference between Korea and other countries, this paper suggests main principles and directions of urban planning, alignment of rail line, partnership of project stakeholder in the establishment of transfer system in the railway station in the future.

  • Recently the urban railroad which is under plan and construction in domestic is under consideration Light Rail Transit mostly with the alternative against excess of working expenses of Midium Rail Transit(subway), inefficient transportation problem etc. It come to a conclusion that the application of the light rail transit is proper from reserve feasibility study and approval process of Master plan in Daegu urban railroad Line No.3 Based on hereupon, carried out the detail investigation for optimum system selection which suitable for Daegu urban circumstance in process of master plan can satisfy the working expenses decided in national expenditure support project.

Introduction of Bioethanol to Domestic Transportation Market and Implication for CDM Project (수송용 바이오에탄올 도입의 경제성평가 및 CDM 사업 타당성)

  • 본 연구에서는 수송부문 온실가스 저감 대책으로 수송용 바이오에탄올을 국내 수송시장에 도입한 형태에 대해 살펴보았다. 바이오에탄올의 경우 'Carbon Neutral' 한 특성에 따라 친환경연료로써의 이점이 크나 원재료를 수입해야하고, 또 정부정책방향에 따라 경제성이 좌우된다. 분석결과, E5를 도입하여 저감잠재량을 분석했을 때 기존 휘발유 수요전망보다 연간 15억 $CO_2kg/yr$ 정도의 감축이 가능한 것으로 나타난다. 비용분석 결과 현재 휘발유에 부과하는 규모와 같은 정도의 세금이 부과한 바이오에탄올 공급가격은 1639.2원이다. 이는 휘발유 판매 가격인 1448.5에 비해 경쟁력이 없으나 바이오에탄올이 CDM 사업으로 인정받아 CERs 수익을 얻을 수 있는 경우의 공급가격은 1583.5원으로 배출권 수익을 포함하지 않았을 때보다 50원 정도의 추가 수익을 발생함을 확인하였다. 이는 바이오에탄올의 면세범위를 줄임으로써 납세자의 세금을 통한 사업자에 대한 과도한 지원을 지양할 수 있는 적정한 정부지원정책 방법으로 고려될 수 있을 것이다.

  • KHST project plans to design and to build an high speed train. There are noise requirements in passenger room for the standing and running train, which should be reached. Noise prognosises are calculated for the standing and running TM5(Motorized car) and TT4(Trailer car) train (v=300km/h) to find out critical areas in or around the train. On those areas, actions of noise reduction are proposed to reach the requirements. Finally noise prognosises are calculated for the higher velocity of v=350km/h.
