Determination of the Shortest Transportation Path in Wartime (전시 최단수송경로 선정)

  • In transportation network problems, it is often desirable to select multiple number of the shortect paths. On problems of finding these paths, algorithms have been developed to choose single shortest path, k-shortest paths and k-shortest paths via p-specified nodes in a network. These problems consider the time as the main factor. In wartime, we must consider availability as well as time to determine the shortest transportation path, since we must take into account enemy's threat. Therefore, this paper addresses the problem of finding the shortest transportation path considering both time and availability. To accomplish the objective of this study, values of k-shortest paths are computed using the algorithm for finding the k-shortest paths. Then availabilties of those paths are computed through simulation considering factors such as rates of suffering attack, damage and repair rates of the paths. An optimal path is selected using any one of the four decision rules that combine the value and availability of a path.

  • The selection of the optimal partners in supply chain management is one of the most critical success factors. In the past, partners for outsourcing production were selected repeatedly within a closed group of candidates due to the limited information and location of partners. But, the wide use of internet and the development of electronic commerce make it possible that the partners capable of providing the optimal services are selected regardless of their location or nationality. And the concept of partners was limited to the provider of production resources. In the supply chain management, the concept should be extended to the provider of transportation and warehouse due to the high portion of transportation cost among the total production cost Therefore, In this study, we propose an analytical approach to the selection of Production and transportation partners in supply chain management. For this purpose a mathematical model is developed, and then a heuristic algorithm based on tabu search is presented since the model belongs to the NP hard problem.

A Variable Demand Traffic Assignment Model Based on Stable Dynamics (안정동력학에 의한 가변수요 통행배정모형)

  • This study developed a variable demand traffic assignment model by stable dynamics. Stable dynamics, suggested by Nesterov and do Palma[19], is a new model which describes and provides a stable state of congestion in urban transportation networks. In comparison with the user equilibrium model, which is based on the arc travel time function in analyzing transportation networks, stable dynamics requires few parameters and is coincident with intuitions and observations on congestion. It is therefore expected to be a useful analysis tool for transportation planners. In this study, we generalize the stable dynamics into the model with variable demands. We suggest a three stage optimization model. In the first stage, we introduce critical travel times and dummy links and determine variable demands and link flows by applying an optimization problem to an extended network with the dummy links. Then we determine link travel times and path flows in the following stages. We present a numerical example of the application of the model to a given network.

  • It is conducted to analyze vibration loads on KSR-III and its major segments during their ground transportation and various handling process. These loads may be different from the real flight environment. Inadequate assessment of these loads can cause not only local damages on the rocket system but also the critical problem like flight mission failure. Therefore, transportation and handling loads must be considered during design and attenuated to ensure that the rocket structural damage does not occur. (omitted)

Comparison of Deep-Learning Algorithms for the Detection of Railroad Pedestrians

  • Railway transportation is the main land-based transportation in most countries. Accordingly, railway-transportation safety has always been a key issue for many researchers. Railway pedestrian accidents are the main reasons of railway-transportation casualties. In this study, we conduct experiments to determine which of the latest convolutional neural network models and algorithms are appropriate to build pedestrian railroad accident prevention systems. When a drone cruises over a pre-specified path and altitude, the real-time status around the rail is recorded, following which the image information is transmitted back to the server in time. Subsequently, the images are analyzed to determine whether pedestrians are present around the railroads, and a speed-deceleration order is immediately sent to the train driver, resulting in a reduction of the instances of pedestrian railroad accidents. This is the first part of an envisioned drone-based intelligent security system. This system can effectively address the problem of insufficient manual police force.

  • Phase-shift fullbridge (PSFB) converter detects the current in the primary side for operation of the peak current mode controller (PCMC). The PCMC must used the slope compensation to solve the problem when the effective duty is over 0.5. The voltage response of PSFB converters has slower than that of buck converter because of slew interval even if the voltage controllers of two converters have same bandwidth. To overcome these problems, this work proposes a compensating method of current reference considering slew interval and fast response in the PSFB converter. The effectiveness of the proposed method is proven using the PSIM simulation and experiment.

  • Illegal transportation act using a private truck cases indigested freight market. Moreover it incurs social and economic damage.   • The monorail system as new transportation system mostly has being constructed as an elevated construction. In particular, in case of construction to elevated structure in the center of a city, it is important to decision for a monorail station to be considered the minimization. We must purchase the required lands prior to design the monorail stations because of separation of a platform and a waiting room. So We can exclude the problem that it have too close between a monorail station and the other building. Therefore the standard width and elevation of the monorail station shall be considered the efficient execution, economic and transportation. We have many thing to resolve as the plan of minimization to the station of monorail. But we know the ultimate in environmentally friendly transportation, of course, is our monorail system and we are positive as to a popular transportation craze.

  • Today travel demand in the City of Pusan is increasing with the wide scope of activity and the better living circumstances as a big city with a population of about 4 million. Also, the transportation problem of Pusan city becomes one of the severest urban problems with travel demand increasing in spite of the continuous expansion of the transportation facilities. The purpose in this study is to find the travel characteristics on the arterial under the study, construct the optimal Transportation System Management(TSM) which could increase the travel capacity of the arterial based upon the optimal travel systems constructed. Thus, it was concluded that more emphasis should be of the automobiles into the Downtown areas, increase the travel capacity of the arterial through Mass Transportation System(MTS) including the HOV lanes or the Bus Exclusive Lanes instead.

  • PC (Precast Concrete) method was preferred for reasons such as shortening of construction period, cost reduction, and quality. However, in the case of factory production, precast concrete has a problem in that transportation conditions in the transportation process, damage during transportation, overhead and profit of the factory are required. If work and PC members are produced on site, transportation and installation costs can be reduced. However, research on field production has not been conducted. Therefore, based on the on-site production plan without PC, the cost and quality of factory production and on-site production are compared and analyzed.
