도시부 신호교차로의 기본용량 및 기하구조 보정계수 (Ideal Saturation Flow Rate and Geometric Adjustment Factors at Urban Signalized Intersection)

  • This research presets the method of determining basic capacity of signalized intersection using the concept of ideal saturation flow rate. Vehicle discharge rates during green time were collected and studied as part of the preparation of Korean Highway Capacity Manual. From the result of this study the ideal saturation flow rate and saturation queue position were determined. In addition, based on the ideal saturation flow rate two geometric adjustment factors(lane width and grade adjustment factors) were studied. The results were presented in this paper.

  • Even though the types of ramp facilities in Korea are not various like other countries operations in these sections are very important because ramp merging and /or diverging flow affects freeway overall sections. In this study existing methodologies especially the gap acceptance model and the regression model in USHCM are evaluated with our field data. By gap acceptance model the merging capacity is founded 2.360 pcph which is increased by 7% than the capacity of freeway basic section. And in comparison of actual lane 1 volume to the estimation volume by HCM model the model slightly overestimates the actual volue.

  • In the railway system, transportation plan corresponds to a m aster plan for transport services. This service plan must be constructed to minimize operational cost or maximize revenue considering transportation demands and resource capacities in the railway operation company, and it includes several sub-planning activities such as train operation frequency plan, train (schedule) plan, train capacity assignment plan, and rolling stock requirement plan. In these sub- planning processes, train can be con side red as a product for providing customer services, and customer demands and operational advantages must be considered. In this paper, we present an effect estimation system for the train capacity pattern in a train schedule, and the effect of capacity pattern can be expressed as minimum spilled demand, minimum train service cost, and maximum train revenue or profit.

  • In a signal control of the railway system, the first objective is to guarantee a safety of the train operation, and the second is to increase a frequency(a capability of the transportation) of the train operation. In order to express the capability of the transportation a terminology what is called a railroad line capacity is employed. The railroad line capacity means a maximum frequency of the train operation in a possible schedule of the one way operation for one day. During the last several years an improvement in the facilities of the train operation (railroad line extension, improvement in the stations, improvement in the signal facilities) has been achieved to increase the railroad line capacity. In this paper the authors deal with the case analysis which try to shorten headway and which has an impartible relation with increasing of the railroad capacity

우리나라 양방향 2차선 도로의 용량 및 서비스 수준 체계에 관한 연구 (Determination of Two-Lane Highway Capacity and Level of Service in Korean Rural Roads)

  • Two-Lane, two-way roads account for approximately 92% of total road length in Korea and accomplish the majority of regional transport activities. Nevertheless not too many research have been made on two-lane roads particularly efficiency related topics such as capacity and travel time studies. In this study a full scale data collection was conducted using video equippments on rural two-lane roads to determine capacity Passenger Car Equivalents(PCE) and Level of Service criterion. Various PC programs were utilized to reduce traffic data and Walker ME? and Headway Method were employed to determine PCE's for heavy vehicles. The reseach has shown that capacity and PCE's for two-land two-way roads in Korea are 3200 pcph and 1.1∼1.9 resectively. In addition percent time delay was used as the basis of developing Level of service criterion on two-lane roads in Korea.

인천-영종 간 해상수송시스템 구축을 위한 경제적 타당성 분석 (A Feasibility Study on the Economic Aspect of Sea Transportation System between Inchon and Youngjong Island)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the economic aspect of sea transportation system between Inchon and Youngjong island in which Inchon international airport is being constructed. Total demand of sea transportation arising from in the airport and Yongyu Muwi leisure complex was estimated. To select optimum transportation route, environmental conditions in and around Inchon harbour and Youngjong island including the change of water depth by tide current, fog, rain, wind adn typhoon, ets., were investigated. The preliminary consideration on ships (size, velocity, transport capacity, price), routes, operational modes, terminals and berthing facilities were carried out. The transportation cost per passenger by sea transportation system was estimated to compare with that of land transportation system. It was found that sea transportation system proposed is competitive to the transportation system.

  • In railway system, the transportation plan corresponds to master plan for transport services. This service plan must be constructed to minimize operational cost or maximize revenue considering transportation demands and resource capacities in the operation company, and includes several sub-planning activities such as train operation frequency plan, train (schedule) plan, train capacity assignment plan, and rolling stock requirement plan. In this paper, we present profitability evaluation system for current transportation plan. The proposed system can be used for evaluating profitability by estimating train service revenue considering customer demands.

매생이 농도를 달리한 곤약국수의 조리 특성 (Cooking Characteristics of Noodle containing Konjac Powder and Capsosiphon fulvescens)

  • This purpose of this study was to investigate cooking characteristics of noodles prepared by adding 0, 2, 4 or 6 percent of Capsosiphon fulvescens to wheat flour containing konjac powder. Water binding capacity was significantly increased with increasing amounts of Capsosiphon fulvescens. Weight and volume of cooked noodles increased significantly in proportion with the amount of Capsosiphon fulvescens. Turbidity of the soup after cooking also increased with the addition of Capsosiphon fulvescens. Brightness(L) and redness(a) were decreased with addition of Capsosiphon fulvescens. Yellowness(b) increased. The color value of cooked noodles was decreased compared with that of wet noodles. Sensory evaluation scores revealed that cooked noodles with 4 percent addition group were highest in terms of color, flavor and overall acceptability. This study validates that addition of Amorphophallus konjac and 4 percent Capsosiphon fulvescens may improve functionality and preference of noodles.

물류시스템에서 물류센터의 크기 확장계획모형에 대한 유전알고리듬 (Genetic Algorithm for Capacity Expansion Planning Model of the Distribution Centers in a Distribution System)

  • Distribution centers in a distribution system that consists of the distribution centers and retailers supplies products to retailers. At the present, although total capacity of the distribution centers are enough to supply total demand of retailers, capacity of the distribution centers need to be expanded to satisfy the demand of retailers in case that future demand of the retailers will be increased. Capacity expansion model in a distribution system is to determine the location and size of expansion distribution centers that minimize costs among given distribution centers. Transportation amount from distribution center to retailers also is determined. The costs factors are the capacity expansion costs of the distribution centers and the transportation costs from the distribution centers to the retailers. A model is formulated, and a genetic algorithm based solution procedure is developed. A numerical example is shown and the algorithm is analyzed through examples.
