  • Silicon wafer is very important accuracy make use semiconductor device substrate. In this research, for the uniformity dopant density distribution obtained to Neutron Transmutation Doping on make use Si in P Doping study work. In this research. we irradiated neutron on FZ silicon wafers which had high resistivity (1000~2000 ${\Omega}$cm), HANARO reactor was utilized resistivity changes due to observed, the generation of neutron irradiation on point defect analyzed, point defect on resistivity changes inquire into the effect. Before neutron irradiation theoretical due to calculated 5 ${\Omega}$-cm, 20.1 ${\Omega}$-cm for HTS hole and 5 ${\Omega}$-cm, 26.5 ${\Omega}$-cm, 32.5 ${\Omega}$-cm for IP3 hole. After neutron irradiation through SRP measurement the designed resistivities were approached, which were 2.1 H-cm for HTS-1, 7.21 ${\Omega}$-cm for HTS-2, 1.79 ${\Omega}$-cm for IP-1, 6.83 ${\Omega}$-cm for IP-2, 9.23 ${\Omega}$-cm for IP-3, respectively. Also after neutron irradiation resistivity changes due to thermal neutron dependent irradiation hole types free.

  • The safety and efficiency of nuclear reactors largely depend on the monitoring and control of nuclear radiation. Due to the unique nuclear-physical characteristics, Hf is one of the most promising materials for the manufacturing of the control rods and the emitters of neutron detectors. It is proposed to use the Compton neutron detector with the emitter made of Hf in the In-core Instrumentation System (ICIS) for monitoring the neutron field. The main advantages of such a detector in comparison the conventional β-emission sensors are the possibility of reaching of a higher cumulative radiation dose and the absence of signal delays. The response time of the detection is extremely important when a nuclear reactor is operating near its critical operational parameters. Taking Hf as an example, the general principles for calculating the chains of materials transformation under neutron irradiation are reported. The influence of 179m1Hf on the Hf composition changing dynamics and the process of transmutants' (Ta, W) generation were determined. The effect of these processes on the absorbing properties of Hf, which inevitably predetermine the lifetime of the detector and its ability to generate a signal, is estimated.

  • Decommissioning efforts are underway at the reactor where the accident occurred, namely the damaged Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (FDNPP). However, a large amount of groundwater flowing into the site has become contaminated with radioactive substances and is stored in tanks on site, which has hampered the decommissioning work. Although the inflow of groundwater has been greatly reduced through measures such as the construction of frost walls, approximately 170 ㎥ of water treated by the Advanced Liquid Processing System (ALPS) is being stored in tanks, each day. The tanks used to store this treated water are expected to become full by around the summer of 2022. It is not easy to get people to understand the efforts of all concerned parties, and providing clear information to these concerned parties is also a challenge. Questions have also been raised regarding whether other alternatives have been fully explored in the ALPS subcommittee. Some people have commented that the answers to the questions raised regarding the biological effects of tritium transmutation are inadequate. Some suspect that the answers are too detailed and incomprehensible, and that the respondents may be manipulating the public with some malicious intent. In any case, each possible plan presents both advantages and disadvantages, depending on the people who are involved. That makes it an ethical and vexing issue that can sway decisions, as perspectives change. While the environmental release plan is scientifically safe, it may represent a painful alternative. On the other hand, a more careful and imaginative approach to the idea of continued storage in tanks or other forms of storage may reveal some troublesome hidden disadvantages. Under these circumstances, experts must be prepared to answer people's questions in a comprehensive and robust manner.
