후처리 조건에 따른 탄소나노튜브 특성의 변화 (Study of Carbon Nanotubes Properties by Post-treatment Conditions)

  • This paper reports a change of carbon nanotubes(CNTs) properties by post-treatment process after growth of CNTs. CNTs were treated by thermal method and solution method, and then investigated in detail using field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM), high resolution transmission scanning electron microscopy(HR-TEM), RAMAN spectroscopy, and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FT-IR). FT-IR spectra showed that the amount of hydroxyl generated on surface of CNTs were changed with post-treatment condition. FE-SEM and TEM images were shown CNTs diameter and density variations were dependent with their treatment conditions. RAMAN spectroscopy was shown that carbon nanotubes structure vary with treatment conditions.

  • 본 논문에서는 장주기 광섬유격자쌍을 이용하여 광섬유 Mach-Zehnder 간섭계(MZI)를 기계적인 방법으로 구현해 보았다. 제작한 간섭계의 장주기 광섬유격자쌍의 투과스펙트럼과 fringe spacing의 이론치과 실험치를 비교, 분석해 보았다. 그 결과, fringe spacing의 값은 이론치와 실험치가 비교적 잘 일치하는 것을 알았다.

  • We present the Exposure Time Calculator of IGRINS (Immersion Grating Infrared Spectrograph). The noises of IGRINS and the simulated emission line can be calculated from the combination of Telluric background emission and absorptions, the emission and transmission of the telescope and instrument optics, and the dark noise and the read noise of the infrared arrays. For the atmospheric transmissions, we apply the simulated spectra depending on the Precipitable Water Vapor (PWV) values. In case of calculation of noises, the user needs to input the expected target magnitude, the weather conditions, and the desired exposure time. In addition to the simulated emission line, the parameters of rest wavelength, line-flux, Doppler shift and line-width are needed. The output would be the expected signal-to-noise for each spectral resolution element. The source-code of IGRINS-ETC v2.1.1 is available to be downloaded on the World Wide Web.

CdTe 나노결정의 합성과 특성분석에 관한 연구 (A study on the synthesis and characterization of CdTe nanocrystals)

  • 반도체 나노결정은 양자구속효과(quantum confinement effect)에 의한 광학적인 특성을 갖기 때문에 광전자공학(optoelectronic), 광전지(photovoltaic)분야에 응용하려는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고순도의 CdTe 나노결정을 1-thioglycerol 표면 완화제(surface stabilizer)로 사용하여 수용액 상태로 합성하였다. 모든 실험은 $N_2$ 분위기의 삼각플라스크에서 실험하였다. Cadmium 소오스로는 Cd(CIO$_4$)$_2$.6$H_2O$(Cadmium perchlorate hydrate-Aldrich)를 사용하였고 Tellurium 소오스로는 A1$_2$Te$_3$(Aluminum telluride-CERAC)와 H$_2$SO$_4$가 반응하여 H$_2$Te gas가 주입되도록 하였다. 합성된 CdTe 나노결정은 core-shell 형태로 존재하며 결정크기에 따른 특성분석을 위해서 High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope (HRTEM), Photoluminescence spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction(XRD), UV-vis absorption spectra 분석을 하였다 또한 CdTe 나노결정을 나노와이어로 제작하여 CdTe 나노결정을 이용한 태양전지 제작에 응용하고자 한다.

케이지 휠을 이용한 습답 로터리 작업의 부하 특성 (Load Characteristics of Rotary Operation Using a Cage Wheel in Wet Paddy Fields)

  • The torque loads acting on the input shaft of the transmission and final driving shaft of the tractor having a cage wheel attached to the driving tries as a traction aid were measured during the rotavating operations in a poorly drained paddy field. Using the measured load data load spectra were constructed. Effects of the design parameters of the cage wheel on the load characteristics were also analyzed. The torque load exerted on the input shaft decreased as the diameter of the cage wheel increased and increased as the rotavator speed increased. The torque load exerted on the final driving shaft increased as the working speed of the tractor increased and decreased as the rotavator speed increased. The torque load on the final driving shaft with the cage wheel were greater than those without the cage wheel.

  • In this paper, we have demonstrated absolute wavelength tuning in an optical fiber comb filter based on a polarization-diversity loop configuration by controlling the current injected into enameled wires wound on polarization-maintaining fibers (PMF's), that is, adjusting Joule heat generated from enameled wires. The proposed fiber comb filter consists of a polarization beam splitter, a half-wave plate, a quarter-wave plate, and PMF's. And we observed wavelength change of spectral dips in transmission spectra of the fabricated filter by varying an input current applied to enameled wires. The absolute wavelength of the filter could be controlled in proportional to the square of the input current with good linearity, and the rate of the wavelength shift with respect to the input current was measured as 36.79[nm/$A^2$].

청색발광 EL소자용 SrS:Ce박막의 제작과 기초적 물성 (Growth and Characterization of SrS:Ce Thin Films for Blue EL Devices)

  • SrS:Ce thin films for blue EL devices were prepared by Hot Wall Method and their crystallographic and optical characteristics were investigated by various methods. Deposition rates were increased with SrS cell temperature, but the rates were independent on substrate temperature and sulfur pressure. The optical and crystallographic characteristics were strongly affected by deposition rates. The band gap energies obtained by optical transmission spectra and Full Width at Half Maximum of (200) plane in X-ray diffraction patterns were found at 4.5-4.6eV and $0.22~0.26^{\circ}$, respectively. The photoluminescence from SrS:Ce thin tiles showed a greenish blue omission peaked at 470 and 540nm.

  • In this paper, The loss spectra between 1.1um and 1.7um were measured by cut-back method using tungsten-halogen lamp, a grating monochramator and an InGaAs detector. Typical fiber lengths measured were 30 meter. This result represent a further contribution to monomode fiber design and has been applied to come common profimes that are under study to optimize the fiber performance. It is very important that the parameter a. were designed more exactly and transmission of LPol mode in 1.55um. Therefore, Fiber designer have to be aware of the fact that this coupling loss and bending loss.

  • The Pohang Neutron Facility based on an electron linac was constructed in order to construct the infrastructure for nuclear data production in Korea. It consists of a 100-MeV electron linac, a water-cooled Ta target, and an 11-m time-of-flight path. We measured the time-of-flight path length, the neutron energy spectra for different water levels inside the moderator, and the neutron total cross sections of polyethylene and copper by the transmission method.

  • 기계적으로 유도된 소자형 장주기 광섬유격자를 처음으로 제작해 보았다. 본 연구의 장주기 광섬유격자 소자는 제작이 용이하며. 다른 광 소자나 시스템에 적용 또는 장착이 가능하다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 또한, 제작된 장주기 광섬유격자 소자는 격자 제작시 중심파장과 투과손실을 가변할 수 있는 특징을 가지고 있다. 장주기 광섬유격자 소자의 제작원리를 살펴보고, 제작된 장주기 광섬유격자의 파장가변 특성과 압력에 따른 투과특성을 실험해 보았으며, 장주기 광섬유격자 소자를 EDFA의 이득 평탄화 실험에 적용해 보았다.
