Light rail is an electric railway system, characterized by its ability to operate single or multiple car consists (trains) along exclusive rights-of-way at ground level, on aerial structures, in subways or in streets, able to board and discharge passengers at station platforms or at street, track, or car-floor level and normally powered by overhead electrical wires. Depending upon the specific system, the light rail lends some major advantages to urban settings. The evaluation of light rail technology as a potential component of regional transit systems has been the subject of extensive studies throughout the country in the past decade. For the study, feasibility was defined as "the ability of an LRT system to achieve certain level of transportation market in comparison with other transportation alternatives." This paper describes the feasibility study to evaluate a proposed light rail development project. The minimum are those LRT systems that would met to make a project feasible for further evaluation.

Since the development of railway technology, the current urban Railway the first train line in the country for safe operation control automatic/unattended operation, automatic train operation equipment available (ATO) on time and reliable operation has introduced. ATO Automatic operation controlled by the value (Target velocity) and the feedback value (Actual velocity) by the error between the backing and braking of the train by repeated low energy efficiency. In this paper, given a fixed distance stations between time operation with minimal energy in the driving characteristics and driving trains are modeled. Therefore, in line 5 real route time sectional drive straight sections for experimental data analysis / draft Section / curved and section of the train on that line is selected according to the changing driving patterns to minimize the energy optimal driving patterns were presented.
The rapid increase of Passenger cars which is caused by the discomfort of Public transit and the Preference of automobiles is the major factor of increasing traffic congestions in Seoul With the point that leading the automobilists to the Public transit can be the most important Policy to ease these traffic congestions, this study focuses on the behavioral aspects of company employees and university students and investigates factors influencing bus ridership. To be brief, by estimating bus ridership through count models, this study investigates factors which influence bus ridership and elicits Political suggestions which lead automobilists to Public transit. The Purpose in this study is the application of appropriate count data model. The count data models have been widely applied to the economic area from the middle of the 1980s and to transportation aspect mainly in the foreign countries from the latter half of the 1980s. Even though a few studies in this country employed count data model to count data. all of them were Poisson regression models without suitable tests for the importance of the model specification. In the end, as the result of statistical test, negative binomial regression model which is suitable for overdispersed data was found to be appropriate for the data of weekly bus ridership. To emphasize the importance of model specification, both of poisson regression model and negative binomial regression model were estimated and the results were compared.
In recent years, energy consumption in the transportation sector by expanding motorization continues to increase in almost every country in the world. Moreover, the growth rate of the transportation energy consumption is significantly higher than those of the civilian and industrial sectors. Therefore, every country strives to reduce its dependence on private transport, which is the main contributor to the transportation energy consumption. In many countries, concepts such as Transit Oriented Development (TOD) or New Urbanism, which controls road traffic by increasing the proportion of the public transportation significantly, have been implemented to encourage a modal shift to public transport. However, the level of change required for eliminating environmental problems is a challenging task. Minimizing transportation energy consumption by controlling the increase of the traffic demand and maintaining the level of urban mobility simultaneously is a pressing dilemma for each city. Grasping the impact of the diversity of the urban transport and infrastructure is very important to improve transportation energy efficiency. However, the potential for reducing urban transportation energy consumption has often been ineffectively demonstrated by the diversity of cities. Therefore, the accuracy of evaluating the current efficiency rate of the urban energy consumption is necessary. Nevertheless, quantitative analyses related to the efficiency of transportation energy consumption are scarce, and the research on the current condition of consumption efficiency based on international quantitative analysis is almost nonexistent. On the basis of this background problem definitions, this research first built a database of the transportation energy consumption of private modes in 119 cities, with an attempt to reflect individual travel behaviors calculated by Person Trip data. Subsequently, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) was used as an assessment method to evaluate the efficiency of transportation energy consumption by considering the diversity of the urban traffic features in the world cities. Finally, we clarified the current condition of consumption efficiency by attempting to propose a target values for improving transportation energy consumption.
GTX(Great Train Express), the wide area express train of a big city center of metropolitan area, is the best new transportation method able to realize 'Low Carbon Green Growth' for solving traffic congestion of the metropolitan area with the connection the metropolitan area into 40-minute life zone by speeding up the standardized velocity, making the route straight and reducing the compensation of land using the space of 40~50m below the ground. In the transportation sector all over the world, if it turned into the public transportation system focusing on the train at a point of time that low carbon green revolution takes the initiative, national competitiveness would be enhanced by reducing the emission of carbon from cars by 1/6. Accordingly, this study is to look into the efficient operation in accordance with GTX construction superintended by currently Gyeonggi province and to consider the optimum operation plan of GTX that are proper for the actual circumstances of the country by comparatively analyzing overseas cases that took their positions as new transportation by curtailment of transit time through highspeed such as London area, Paris area, and Tokyo area etc that are similar to Korean metropolitan area.

The longest tunnel has been halted at Daekwanryung by the failure of the host country of the Winter Olympiad in 2014, but modern High-Power TBM will come to Korea to excavate these long tunnels to establish the better horizontal connection between the western and eastern countries to improve the strong powerful logistic strategy of Korean peninsula. Train operation provides a key function of air movements in a long underground tunnel, and heat generation from transit vehicles may account of the most heat release to the ventilation and emergency systems. This paper indicates the optimal fire suppress services and safety provision for the long railway tunnel which is designed twin tunnel with length 22km in Gangwon province of Korea. The design of the fire-fighting systems and emergency were prepared by the operation of the famous long-railway tunnels as well as the severe lessons from the real fires in domestic and overseas experiences. Designers should concentrate the optimal solution for passenger's safety at the emergency state when tunnel fires, train crush accidents, derailment, and etc. The optimal fire-extinguishing facilities for long railway tunnels are presented for better safety of the comfortable operation in this hard rock tunnel of eastern mountains side of Korea. Since year 1900, hard rock tunnel construction has been launched for railway tunnels in Korea, tunnels have been built for various purposes not only for infrastructure tunnels including roadway, railway, subway, and but also for water and power supply, for deposit food, waste, and oils etc. Most favorable railway tunnel system was discussed in details; twin tunnels, distance of cross passage, ventilation systems, for the comfortable train operations in the future.
Bloody wars between Arab Muslims and Khazar Turks in the Caucasus continued for a more than a hundred years from the mid $7^{th}$ century to the end of the $8^{th}$ century CE. The Khazar state survived but had to withdraw from Caucasian Albania, the present territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. However, the Khazars managed to expand their political control over the trade routes north-east and north-west of the Caucasian ridge. A trade partnership was established between former rival powers in the region that allows us to call the period after the end of the Arab-Khazar wars up to the time of the collapse of the Khazar state in the middle of the 10th century an era of Arab-Khazar partnership and domination of the Silk Road. This article highlights the impact made by geopolitical shifts in the regions of the time upon international trade tracks and particularly on the development of trade facilities, infrastructure, and local production in Azerbaijan, which became a major transit country of goods from the north to markets in the Muslim Near East.
After the Tianjin Port explosion on 2015, it is highlighted that securing safety for dangerous goods in Korea and try to establish safety standards for railroad dangerous substances transport. In Korea, the regulation for the transport of dangerous goods is stipulated to need 3 buffer cars. However, It is inefficient that 3 buffer cars. because 3 buffer cars, increase transportation too much costs in transit and it is too strict compared to other country rules. The purpose of this study was to improve transportation efficiency by mitigating the criteria for isolated railroads through rational safety assessment. In order to verify this, we used a risk assessment software which is PHAST 7.2 developed by DNV GL. We calculated safety distances that could prevent ignitions setting up scenarios when relief system work installed on a train loaded with propylene, nonane. As a result, we confirmed that buffer cars can be reduced from three to one. This result would be implemented in the application of Korail.
Recently, The government is actively transit road-oriented Traffic System to the eco-friendly and high-efficiency railroad-oriented transportation system for the sustainable green growth. The second plan of Nationwide Railway Network which has been officially announced rearrange to integration, multi-core, open architecture country by the railway network and integrate to the one mega city that rink an important city in one hour 30 minute. But the railroad industry is disadvantageous when it compares with the road industry on the ground that railroad industry peculiarities(a cost-benefit analysis, an environment value, etc) have not reflected in the (preliminary) feasibility study for SOC industry. The government establish Improved methodology of Rail Investment Rating System and improved preliminary feasibility study in railroad project by introduction many content(analysis periods, rate of discount, the benefits of shortening of transit hours, the estimation of traffic accident reduction benefits, investment cost of vehicle substitution and operation and maintenance cost of high speed rail) about the Improved methodology of Rail Investment Rating System. This study is intended to consideration the key content that was included in the Improved methodology of Rail Investment Rating System. In addition, the points to be considered for additional study have been reviewed in this study. We hope we will carry out make a reasonable and objective Rail Investment Rating System and to perform the railway industry of the virtuous cycle such improvement plans are reflected at a hereafter railroad section.
This paper have examined the descriptive and legal approaches to the comparison and analysis of major content of direct transport in FTA rules of origin and the primary judicial precedents that arose during the executing process of FTAs. Preferential tariff treatment shall be applied to a good satisfying the requirement of this agreement(annex, article etc.,) and which is transported directly between the territories of the exporting party and importing party. However, products may be transported through territories of non-parties, provided that they do not undergo operations other than unloading, reloading, splitting-up of consignments or any operation designed to preserve them in good condition. During this period the products shall remain under customs control in the country of transit. The low perception of firms on the rules of origin was found to lead to breaking the rule and thus taking up losses. The FTA major countries enacted penalty rules against the violation of the rules of origin and bring civil and criminal suits and administrative sanctions. The types and level of penalties are subject to their domestic laws of each of those nations. With better recognition of major content of direct transport in FTA rules of origin and well-prepared countermeasures, firms will be able to enhance competitive advantage while benefiting from preferential tariffs.
