고장점 표정반 자동절체 시스템에 대한 연구 (A Study on Automatic Switching System for Fault Locator)

  • 전기철도에 전력을 공급하기 위하여 철도변전소에서는 급전특성상 방면별 급전을 시행하고 있으며, 급전계통에 고장이 발생하는 경우를 대비한 공통반 차단기와 같은 예비설비와 전차선로 고장 발생 시 고장위치를 찾기 위해 고장점 표정장치를 설치하여 사용 중에 있다. 그러나, 고장 발생 시 공통반 차단기를 사용하여 급전계통을 운용하는 경우에는 고장점 표정반과의 인터페이스가 되지 않아 고장위치를 찾는데 어려움이 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 고장점 표정반 자동절체 시스템을 설계하고 동작 상태를 검증한다. 또한 자동절체 시스템을 공통반 차단기에 설치한 후 검증방법으로 설정된 24회의 지락시험을 통하여 성능시험을 수행하였으며 고장점 표정장치를 이용하여 기존의 고장위치를 효율적으로 검지하는 방법을 제시하는 데 있다.

전력용 변압기 경년열화와 관련된 DGA 대표가스에 관한 연구 (Representative Dissolved Gases indicating Aging of Power Transformers)

  • The life management technology becomes important as the failure risk of the aged power transformers increases. Asset management technology, therefore, has been developed to evaluate the remaining life and build replacement strategies of power transformers, which enables an optimal investment decisions based on reliability and economic feasibility. The remaining life assessment technology uses data related to such as installation, operation, maintenance, refurbishment, and disposed history of power transformers. The optimal investment decision additionally uses data related to failure and social costs. To develop the asset management technology in power transformers, it is important to find deterioration parameters directly indicating degradation of power transformers. In this study, 110,000 DGA data during the past 35 years have been analyzed in order to find the deterioration parameters related to the degradation of power transformers. The alarm rates of combustible gases ($H_2$, $C_2H_2$, $C_2H_4$, $CH_4$, $C_2H_6$), TCG CO, and $CO_2$ were analyzed as deterioration parameters. The origin of the gas was discussed in connection with discharge, overheating and insulation aging.

태양광발전이 연계된 배전계통의 보호기기 오동작에 대한 최적 운용방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Method for Mal-function of Re-closer at the Distribution Feeders Interconnected with PV Systems)

  • Recently, new dispersed power sources such as photovoltaics, wind power, fuel cell etc. are energetically interconnected and operated in the distribution systems, as one of the national projects for alternative energy. This paper deals with the optimal countermeasures for the mal-function of protective devices at primary feeder in distribution systems when new power sources like photovoltaic (PV) systems are interconnected, based on the symmetrical components of short circuit studies. When new power sources are considered to be interconnected to distribution systems, bi-directional power flow and interconnection transformer connection of new power sources may cause the operation problems of protective devices (mainly re-closer), since new power sources can change typical characteristics of distribution systems. Therefore, this paper shows an analysis skill of the mal-functional mechanism of protective relay and proposes the optimal solution for the mal-function problem using the symmetrical components of fault analysis. And, this paper also shows the effectiveness of proposed method by the simulation at the field distribution systems.

3-레벨 반브리지로 구성된 SSSC의 동특성 분석 (Dynamic Characteristic Analysis of 3-Level Half-bridge SSSC)

  • 본 논문에서는 3-레벨 반브리지 인버터로 구성된 SSSC를 제안하였다. 제안한 SSSC의 동적특성을 분석하기 위해서 1기 무한모선 전력계통에 SSSC응 연결한 것을 가정하고 EMTP 시뮬레이션을 수행하였고, 축소모형 실험으로 그 특성을 확인하였다. 3-레벨 SSSC는 한 상당 6개의 단상 풀브리지 인버터로 구성되었고, PWM모드로 동작한다. 3-레벨 SSSC는 전압 주입을 위한 연계 변압기가 필요하지 않고, 전력계통에서 요구되는 동작전압에 EK라 브리지의 수를 가감하여 용이하게 구성할 수 있다.

GIS 감시진단용 다양한 센서를 적용한 PD 검출 및 패턴분석 결과 비교연구 (A Comparate Study for the PD Pattern Analysis using Different Type of Sensors Applicable to the On-line Monitoring of GIS)

  • Many precedent investigations hate been made for the reliable assessment of the insulation state of large power apparatus for which partial discharge detection is one of tile plausible way. In this work, experimental investigations have been carried out to make the comparison on the PD(partial discharge) pattern analysis related to the five different types of artificial defects such as SFMP (Single Free Moving Particle), MFMP (Multi Free Moving Particle), Void, CFP (Conductor-Fixed Protrusion), EP (Enclosure Protrusion). For each PD pattern, PD detection has been done by tee different types of PD sensors such as HFCT(High Frequency Current Transformer), AE(Acoustic Emission) and UHF(Ultra High Frequency). And, in addition, frequency spectrum by the UHF sensor has been also made for each defect respectively. As a result, it is observed that the possibility of obtaining PD pattern based on PRPD(Phase Resolved Partial Discharge) in connection with the defects tinder investigation is dependant on the type of the sensor while the spectrum analysis is always successful to be achieved for every defect. Therefore, it could be suggested that the nature of PD source can be identified more distinctively when the conventional PRPDA is combined with spectrum analysis.

영상성분을 고려한 DVR 기기 해석 (The Analysis of Zero Sequence Components in Dynamic Voltage Restorer System)

  • The magnitude and phase of the compensating voltage in Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) system depend on the voltage sag in the phases affected by the fault and on the influence of the zero sequence components. If the delta connection of the transformer is used, the zero sequence components do not appear on the load side. But nowadays, Y connected transformers with grounded neutral, that is 3-phase 4-wire system, are usually used. Therefore the zero-sequence components are occurred during faults. The zero-sequence components result in the high insulation costs and the asymmetry of the phase and magnitude of the terminal voltages. In this paper 3 phase 4 wire distribution system and 3 phase 3 wire system are analyzed and characteristics of voltage sag are presented. And this paper proposes the method that can mitigate the zero-sequence under the unbalance faults causing voltage sage and phase angle iumps.

2차회로의 수에 따른 하이브리드형 초전도 한류기의 동작 특성 (Characteristics of Hybrid-Type SFCL by the Number of Secondary Windings with YBCO Films)

  • We investigated the characteristics of the hybrid-type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) by the number of secondary windings. The SFCL consists of a transformer, which has a primary winding and several secondary windings with serially connected $YB_{a2}Cu_{3}O_{7}$ films. In order to increase the capacity. of the SFCL, the serial connection between each current limiting unit is necessary. Resistive-type SFCL has a difficulty in quenching simultaneously between the units due to slight differences of their critical current densities. The hybrid-type SFCL could achieve the simultaneous quenching through the electrical isolation and the mutual flux linkage among the units. We confirmed that the capacity of the SFCL could be increased effectively through the simultaneous quenching among the units. In addition, the power burden of the system could be reduced by adjusting the number of secondary windings. We will investigate the method to increase the capacity through serial and Parallel connections among current limiting units.

발송배전기술사 고시 출제경향 분석 및 대학 교과과정 반영에 대한 고찰 (A Trend Analysis on Professional Engineer Examination and Reflection to a College Academic Curriculum - Focused on Generation/Transmission/Distribution Subdiscipline of Electrical Engineering -)

  • The government has pushed ahead with the establishment of a connection system among education-task-qualification with regards to the promotion of engineering industry, but there has been a lack of pertinent data. In this regard, this study investigated the ways of connecting universities' engineering education with Electrical Professional Engineer examination. The results show that the tendency of questions consists of 30[%] of transmission, 16[%] of basic theory, 14[%] of transformer, 14[%] of generation, 9[%] of new technology, 11[%] of other relevant fields. This study also presents a survey on the relationship between the engineer's license and college curriculum. The curriculum of Electrical Engineering Department of a leading National University in Seoul is investigated in relation to the Examination. Some learning materials for successful completion of the university curriculum and acquisition of the Professional Engineer license are also recommended.

  • 가변속 풍력발전 시스템의 시뮬레이션 모델을 PSCAD/EMTDC 기반으로 개발하였다. 개발된 시뮬레이션 모델은 바람 모델, 회전자 다이나믹스, 동기 발전기, 전력 변환기, 변압기, 배전 선로, 무한 모선 등으로 구성되어 있다. 특히 블레이드의 공기역학적 특성과 전력 변환기의 제어 전략도 포함되어 실질적인 풍력발전기의 동작 특성을 시뮬레이션 할 수 있다. 개발된 시뮬레이션 모델을 이용하여 입력 풍속의 변동, 발전기 주변 부하의 변동, 계통측 전원 전압의 불평형 등의 다양한 조건에서 풍력발전기의 과도 상태 거동 특성을 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과는 앞으로 가변속 풍력발전기와 전력계통의 연계 운전시 신뢰성을 높이고 전력 시스템을 보호하기 위한 기초자료로서 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

중전압 계통 연계를 위한 멀티 센트럴 대용량 태양광 발전 시스템의 공통 모드 전압 억제 (Suppression of Common-Mode Voltage in a Multi-Central Large-Scale PV Generation Systems for Medium-Voltage Grid Connection)

  • This paper describes an optimal configuration for multi-central inverters in a medium-voltage (MV) grid, which is suitable for large-scale photovoltaic (PV) power plants. We theoretically analyze a proposed common-mode equivalent model for problems associated with multi-central transformerless-type three-phase full bridge(3-FB) PV inverters employing two-winding MV transformers. We propose a synchronized PWM control strategy to effectively reduce the common-mode voltages that may simultaneously occur. In addition, we propose that the existing 3-FB topology may also have the configuration of a multi-central inverter with a two-winding MV transformer by making a simple circuit modification. Simulation and experimental results of three 350kW PV inverters in a multi-central configuration verify the effectiveness of the proposed synchronization control strategy. The modified transformerless-type 3-FB topology for a multi-central PV inverter configuration is verified using an experimental prototype of a 100kW PV inverter.
