  • This paper is considered on the dynamic behavior and the dynamic impact coefficient on the cable-stayed bridge under the vehicle load. The method of static analysis, that is, the transfer matrix method is used to get influence values about displacements, section forces of girder and cable forces. Gotten influence values were used as basic data to analyse dynamic behavior. This paper used the transfer matrix method because it is relatively simpler than the finite element method, and calculating speed of computer is very fast and the precision of computation is high. In the process of dynamic analysis, the uncoupled equation of motion is derived from simultaneous equation of the motion of cable-stayed bridge and vehicle travelling by using mode shape, which was borne from system of undamped free vibration. The solution of the uncoupled equation of motion, that is, time history of response of deflections, velocity and acceleration on reference coordinate system, is found by Newmark-${\beta}$ method, a kind of direct integral method. After the time history of dynamic response was gotten, and it was transfered to the time history of dynamic response of cable-stayed bridge by linear transformation of coordinates. As a result of this numerical analysis, effect of dynamic behavior for cable-stayed bridge under the vehicle load has varied depending on parameter of design, that is, the ratio of span, the ratio of main span length, tower height, the flexural rigidity of longitudinal girder, the flexural rigidity of tower, and the cable stiffness, investigated. Very good agreements with the existing solution in the literature are shown for the uncracked plate as well as the cracked plate.

  • Because of the global pollution caused by plastic disposal, demand for eco-friendly transformation in the packaging industry is increased. As part of that, the utilization of polylactic acid (PLA) as a food packaging material is increased. However, it is necessary to improve the crystallinity of PLA by adding nucleating agents or to improve the modulus by adding fillers because of the excessive brittleness of the PLA matrix. Thus, the cellulose nanofiber (CNF) was fabricated and dried to obtain a powder form and applied to the CNF/PLA nanocomposite. The effect of CNF on the morphological, thermal, rheological, and dynamic mechanical properties of the composite was analyzed. We can confirm the impregnated CNF particle in the PLA matrix through the field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis showed that the crystallinity of not annealed CNF/PLA nanocomposite was increased approximately 2 and 4 times in the 1st and 2nd cycle, respectively, with the shift to lower temperature of cold crystallization temperature (Tcc) in the 2nd cycle. Moreover, the crystallinity of annealed CNF/PLA nanocomposite increased by 13.4%, and shifted Tcc was confirmed.

  • This study was conducted to develop a reservoir modelling workflow to reproduce the heterogeneous distribution of effective permeability that impacts on the performance of SAGD (Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage), the in-situ bitumen recovery technique in the Athabasca Oil Sands. Lithologic facies distribution is the main cause of the heterogeneity in bitumen reservoirs in the study area. The target formation consists of sand with mudstone facies in a fluvial-to-estuary channel system, where the mudstone interrupts fluid flow and reduces effective permeability. In this study, the lithologic facies is classified into three classes having different characteristics of effective permeability, depending on the shapes of mudstones. The reservoir modelling workflow of this study consists of two main modules; facies modelling and permeability modelling. The facies modelling provides an identification of the three lithologic facies, using a stochastic approach, which mainly control the effective permeability. The permeability modelling populates mudstone volume fraction first, then transforms it into effective permeability. A series of flow simulations applied to mini-models of the lithologic facies obtains the transformation functions of the mudstone volume fraction into the effective permeability. Seismic data contribute to the facies modelling via providing prior probability of facies, which is incorporated in the facies models by geostatistical techniques. In particular, this study employs a probabilistic neural network utilising multiple seismic attributes in facies prediction that improves the prior probability of facies. The result of using the improved prior probability in facies modelling is compared to the conventional method using a single seismic attribute to demonstrate the improvement in the facies discrimination. Using P-wave velocity in combination with density in the multiple seismic attributes is the essence of the improved facies discrimination. This paper also discusses sand matrix porosity that makes P-wave velocity differ between the different facies in the study area, where the sand matrix porosity is uniquely evaluated using log-derived porosity, P-wave velocity and photographically-predicted mudstone volume.

  • Erythropoietin-producing human hepatocellular carcinoma receptor B1 (EPHB1) is a member of the Eph family of receptor tyrosine kinases that mediate vascular system development. Eph receptor overexpression has been observed in various cancers and is related to the malignant transformation, metastasis, and differentiation of cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Eph receptors regulate cell migration and attachment to the extracellular matrix by modulating integrin activity. EphrinB1, the ligand of EPHB1, has been shown to regulate HCC carcinogenesis. Here, we sought to determine whether EPHB1 polymorphisms are associated with hepatitis B virus (HBV)-infected liver diseases, including chronic liver disease (CLD) and HCC. We genotyped 26 EPHB1 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in 399 Korean CLD, HCC, and LD (CLD+HCC) cases and seroconverted controls (HBV clearance, CLE) using the GoldenGate assay. Two SNPs (rs6793828 and rs11717042) and 1 haplotype that were composed of these SNPs were associated with an increased risk for CLD, HCC, and LD (CLD+HCC) compared with CLE. Haplotypes that could be associated with HBV-infected liver diseases by affecting downstream signaling were located in the Eph tyrosine kinase domain of EPHB1. Therefore, we suggest that EPHB1 SNPs, haplotypes, and diplotypes may be genetic markers for the progression of HBV-associated acute hepatitis to CLD and HCC.

  • In this paper, we present the trisection band-pass filter with a transmission zero at 2.63 GHz, which has a center frequency of 2.44 GHz, relative bandwidth of 5 %, and return loss of 18 dB, based on a multi-port ElectroMagnetic simulation. The coupling matrix for the trisection filter is calculated and this filter is transformed into band-pass filter prototype through a lossless 2-port circuit transformation. The J-inverter values and slope parameters of each individual resonator are computed using an EM simulation Y-parameters of the filter with multi port. The dimensions of desired filter are determined by matching the computed J-inverter and susceptance slope parameters to those of the prototype band-pass filter. Undesired cross-couplings are found to occur which does not appear in the prototype trisection filter. To overcome the problem of undesired couplings, the filter was optimized to satisfy the same frequency response of prototype filter. The validity of the proposed design method was verified through the implementation of the designed and optimized filter.

  • We propose a method for accurate image acquisition in a machine vision system in the present study. The most important feature is required by the various lenses to implement real and of the same high quality image-forming optical role. The input of the machine vision system, however, is generated due to the aberration of the lens distortion. Transformation defines the relationship between the real-world coordinate system and the image coordinate system to solve these problems, a mapping function that matrix operations by calculating the distance between two coordinates to specify the exact location. Tolerance Focus Lens caused by the lens aberration correction processing to Galvanometer laser precision machining operations can be improved. Aberration of the aspheric lens has a two-dimensional shape of the curve, but the existing lens correction to linear time-consuming calibration methods by examining a large number of points the problem. How to apply the Bilinear interpolation is proposed in order to reduce the machining error that occurs due to the aberration of the lens processing equipment.

  • As a means of getting over the linguistic barrier between different languages, a sign-language communication system using CG animation techniques has been studied. In order to generate a kind of sign-language animation in the system, the joint angles of the arms and the hands corresponding to the gesture have to be determined Up to date, however, the values of joint angles have been decided by trial-and-error methods based on the animator's experiences To overcome the drawback, m this paper, we design an integrated keyframe editor of the arms and the hands for 3D sign-language animation with which we can easily and quickly generate the keyframes of the sign-language animation required to build up In the Implemented keyframe editor, the values of joint angles are calculated by using mverse kinematics, and the same transformation matrix is applied to the joints of two arms and twenty fingers Experimental results show a possibility that the editor could be used efficiently for making up the sign-language communication dictionaries needed for inter-communication between different languages.

  • In this paper, we propose a new feature matching algorithm which is robust to the viewpoint change by using the FAST(Features from Accelerated Segment Test) feature detector and the SIFT(Scale Invariant Feature Transform) feature descriptor. The original FAST algorithm unnecessarily results in many feature points along the edges in the image. To solve this problem, we apply the principal curvatures for refining it. We use the SIFT descriptor to describe the extracted feature points and calculate the homography matrix through the RANSAC(RANdom SAmple Consensus) with the matching pairs obtained from the two different viewpoint images. To make feature matching robust to the viewpoint change, we classify the matching pairs by calculating the Euclidean distance between the transformed coordinates by the homography transformation with feature points in the reference image and the coordinates of the feature points in the different viewpoint image. Through the experimental results, it is shown that the proposed algorithm has better performance than the conventional feature matching algorithms even though it has much less computational load.

  • $H_2/O_2$ 비에 따른 Hybrid HVOF 용사된 $Cr_3C_2$-7wt%(NiCr) 용사층의 특성 및 산화거동 This study was performed to investigate the influence of fuel/oxygen ratio (F/O=3.2, 3.0, 2.8) on the characteristics and the oxidation behavior of the hybrid-HVOF sprayed $Cr_3C_2$-7wt%NiCr coatings. Decomposition and the oxidation of the $Cr_3C_2$was occured during spraying. The degree of transformation from $Cr_3C_2$to $Cr_7C_3$ was increased with decreasing the F/O ratio. The microstructural differences of the as sprayed coating with F/O ratio can not be distinguished, However, large pores were diminished and then the coatings became dense by heat treatment. Microhardness of the as-sprayed specimen which sprayed with F/O=3.0 condition was hightest ($Hv_{300}$=1140) and the hardness was increased to 1500 after heat treatment at $600^{\circ}C$ for 50hrs in air. It was supposed that hardness was increased due to the formation of $Cr_2O_3$ within $Cr_3C_2$/$Cr_7C_3$matrix and the densification of coating layer during heat treatment. Apparent activation energy for oxidation was varied from 21.2 kcal$mol^{-1}K^{-1}$ to 23.8 kcal$mol^{-1}K^{-1}$ with respect to the F/O ratio. The surface morphology was changed to porous and oxide chusters were grown after oxidation $1000^{\circ}C$ for 50 hours by the aggressive evolution of gas phase ($CrO_3$ and$CO_2$). The oxide cluster was composed of Ni and Cr.

  • In spacecraft system, structure subsystem has the mission of supporting all the components safely under various space environmental conditions. The safety of spacecraft structure is finally verified from the coupled load analysis, which is a branch of load analysis which combines the launch vehicle and satellite. This study introduces the optimization algorithm to reduce the weight of spacecraft structure under launch environmental conditions directly. The acceleration responses are obtained by the introduction of coupled load analysis, which lead to check the failure of spacecraft structural members. The results show a 12% saving of structural weight and this saving is mainly driven by the thickness of honeycomb core, which strongly affects the natural frequencies of platforms and panels.
