  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a plan to improve the level of acceptance of related technologies and the transition to smart factories of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises by using 'technology readiness' and 'integrated technology acceptance model'. To this end, the research hypothesis was verified by collecting questionnaire data from 130 small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in Korea and conducting path analysis.   • 반구조적 분산 문서에서는 구조 정보가 제공되지 않고, 자료 구조에 대한 엄격한 형식이 없기 때문에 질의 처리 시스템을 정형화하고 구현하기 어렴다. 이질적이고 이구조적인 반구조적 문서의 요소를 정확하게 검색하기 위해서는 한 요소가 1:1, 1:N, W:1과 같이 서로 다른 매핑 형태를 취하면서 동시에 여러 요소에 매핑되는 다중 매핑을 처리할 수 있어야 하며, 지역문서의 태그를 파싱하여 구조적인 정보를 얻고 경로 트리를 생성해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 분산된 시스템에 존재하는 이질적인 반구조적 자료나 문서에 대한 동시 다중 매핑을 완벽히 지원하고, 문서 자체를 파싱하여 구조적 정보를 얻을 수 있도록 통합 질의와 검색을 수행하기 위한 추상적인 질의 처리 알고리즘을 설계하고 메타데이타 인터페이스를 이용하여 구현하였다. 이 알고리즘은 전역질의를 기반으로 지역질의를 생성하기 위해서 메타데이타 정보를 이용하여 노드들 사이의 매핑, 매핑 종류에 따른 데이타의 변환, 경로교체 및 노드 사이의 이질성을 해결하기 위한 알고리즘으로 제시하였다. 전역스키마와 지역스키마에 대한 매핑과 함수에 의한 데이타의 변환 및 경로교체는 사용자에 의해 구축된 메타데이타 인터페이스인 DDXMI(for Distributed Documents XML Metadata Interface)를 기반으로 하여 구현되었으며, 같은 이름을 갖지만 다른 의미를 갖는 자료나 노드에 대한 검색은 노드를 구분할수 있는 노드가 가지고 있는 자식정보를 이용하여 노드 구분 조건절을 생성하여 구현하였다. XML 질의언어로 Quilt를 사용하였으며, OEM 모델로 제시한 세 개의 서로 다른 반구조적 레스토랑 안내 문서에서구현한 결과를 보였다. 프로토타입 시스템은 윈도우즈 환경에서 Java와 JavaCC 컴파일러를 이용하여 개발하였다.

  • 데이터 중심의 XML 문서를 관계형 데이터베이스에 저장하고 관리할 경우에 XML 스키마로부터 관계형 스키마를 추출하는 것이 보다 시급한 일이다. 또한 생성된 테이블에 XML 문서를 분할하여 저장할 경우에 많은 널 값을 초래하거나 조인 비용의 증가를 가져오기 때문에 이에 대한 해결책이 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 XML 스키마로부터 관계형 스키마를 생성하는 Schema Hybrid Inlining 기법을 제안하였다. 제안된 기법은 XML 스키마 그래프를 바탕으로 관계형 스키마를 생성하게 되는데, 기존의 Inlining 방식을 확장하여 출현 지시자와 진입 차수에서의 테이블 생성 방법을 휴리스틱하게 매뉴얼 처리를 하며, 유도 관계에서 최종 노드인 조상 노드는 새로운 테이블을 생성한다. 또한 DTD 종속적인 저장 방식의 단점인 조인 연산 비용을 줄이기 위하여 중복을 활용한 분할 저장과 구조적 검색 기법을 개선한 관계 경로 요소 정보를 이용하였다.

  • 경량 블록 암호 알고리즘 CLEFIA의 효율적인 하드웨어 설계에 대하여 기술한다. 설계된 CLEFIA 보안 프로세서는 128/192/256-비트의 세 가지 마스터키 길이를 지원하며, 변형된 GFN(Generalized Feistel Network) 구조를 기반으로 8-비트 데이터 패스로 구현되었다. 라운드키 생성을 위한 중간키 계산용 GFN과 암호 복호 라운드 변환용 GFN을 단일 데이터 프로세싱 블록으로 구현하여 하드웨어 복잡도를 최소화하였다. 본 논문의 GFN 블록은 라운드 변환과 128-비트의 중간 라운드키 계산을 위한 4-브랜치 GFN과 256-비트의 중간 라운드키 계산을 위한 8-브랜치 GFN으로 재구성되어 동작하도록 설계되었다. Verilog HDL로 설계된 CLEFIA 보안 프로세서를 FPGA로 구현하여 정상 동작함을 확인하였다. Vertex5 XC5VSX50T FPGA에서 최대 112 MHz 클록으로 동작 가능하며, 마스터키 길이에 따라 81.5 ~ 60 Mbps의 성능을 갖는 것으로 평가되었다.

  • The interfacial structure of duplex treated AISI 4140 consisting of iron nitride and TiN layer was characterized by optical microscope, SEM and XRD. A black layer was formed from the decomposition of iron nitride during Ti ion bombardment. The black layer was characterized as an a-Fe phase transformed from the iron nitride by XRD. In order to identify the formation mechanism of the black layer, a thermal analysis of iron nitride undertaken by DSC method. As an iron nitride was mostly consisted of ${\gamma}$'-Fe$_4$N and $\varepsilon$-$Fe_3$N phase after plasma nitriding, in this study, a ${\gamma}$'$-Fe_4$N and $\varepsilon$-$Fe_3$N powders were separately prepared by the different processing conditions of gas nitriding of iron powder in the fluidized bed. From the DSC thermal analysis, the phase transformation of ${\gamma}$'$-Fe_4$N, $\varepsilon$-$Fe_3$N was followed the path of transformation; $ \Upsilon{'}-Fe_4$Nlongrightarrow${\gamma}$-Felongrightarrowa-Fe and of $\varepsilon$-$Fe_3$Nlongrightarrow$\varepsilon$-$Fe_{2.5}$ /N+${\gamma}$'$-Fe_4$Nlongrightarrow${\gamma}$'-Fe$_4$Nlongrightarrow${\gamma}$longrightarrowFelongrightarrowalongrightarrowFe, respectively. It explains the reason why the $\varepsilon$ $-Fe_3$N phase disappeared in the first time and then ${\gamma}$'-Fe$_4$N in the formation of the black layer in the duplex coating.

1987년 이후 민주노조운동의 동학 (Dynamics of Democratic Labor Union Movement since 1987 in South Korea)

  • 이 글은 민주노조운동의 성장과 쇠퇴의 동학을 운동의 '제도적 통합'을 둘러싼 투쟁과 갈등, 이후 정치적 기회의 변화 속에서 노사관계 '제도의 변형'과 유연안정성의 범위를 둘러싼 행위자들의 복잡한 상호작용이라는 시각에서 검토한다. 민주노조운동의 '제도적 통합'을 위한 협상은 불확실하고 유동적인 상황에서 1997-98년 노동법으로 마무리되었다. 이후 1997년 노동법 제도의 변형을 위한 투쟁과 갈등이 지속적으로 전개되었고, 이는 노사관계 제도화게임과 유연안정성 게임의 형태를 띠었다. 그러나 이미 형성된 노동법체계는 제도의 지속적 영향과 경로의존성을 보여주었다. 2008년 이후 운동의 사이클은 쇠퇴국면에 접어들었다. 운동의 쇠퇴는 운동 제도화 및 정치적 기회의 변화와 관련이 있고, 장기적으로 운동주체의 세대 변화와 맞물려 있다. 이제 민주노조운동의 과제는 민주노조운동이 새로운 집합적 정체성의 성장에 어떤 역할을 할 수 있을 것인가에 모아지고 있다.

  • Bring this analysis down to people-centered development perspective and looking through democratization in the Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia, we find similarities and differences among them related with the intensity of conflicts between development and human rights in the process of democratization in line with global transformation. Civil society in the Philippines criticized the developmental path in the Philippines which failed to implement land reform and eradication of poverty under the transition from 'patrimonial oligarchy' to democracy. In Thailand the coalition of military and the royalists had consolidated its power since Sarit military regime, which later paved the way 'hybrid oligarchy' era. Most Thai civil society organizations has regarded their developmental experience rather as 'maldevelopment' which disregarded economic and social rights. It has been especially believed by Thai localists that the stimulation of local markets and the building of autonomic community society will form the alternative economy without going against the conservative banner of nation, religion and king. Thaksin as a populist successfully took advantage of Thai localist ethos in favour of taking the seat of power. He projected himself as a modernizer focused on economic growth and cleaner politics. However Thaksin's procedural legitimacy was overthrown by counterattacking from military-royalist alliance, pretexting that Thaksin caused internal conflicts and lacked morality. Soeharto's New Order regime which can be called 'administrative oligarchy' had an antipathy towards notions of economic and social rights as well as civil and political rights. In spite of the fact that the fall of Soeharto opened the political space for democratic civil society organizations which had long struggled with development aggression and human rights abuses, there have been continuously a strong political and military reaction against human rights activists, NGOs and ethnic minorities such as Aceh and Papua. Nevertheless, Indonesian democracy is more promising than Philippine's and Thai democracy in terms of comparatively less pre-modern legacies.

Study on the Cultural Influence and Ethical Lessons in Korean Society with a Focus on the Novel "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens

  • In the global context, particularly in Christian nations, Christmas is considered a culturally and ethically significant time. In this study, we examine Charles Dickens' novel, "A Christmas Carol," and the celebration of Christmas in Korea. We explore the values of Christmas in Korea derived from the significance and importance of this novel. These values include repentance, empathy, compassion, and the importance of humanity. Korean Christmas is regarded as a time for practicing these values, bearing a message akin to the transformation of characters like Scrooge. Furthermore, "A Christmas Carol" conveys a message of improvement and change over time, emphasizing change and growth in Korean Christmas. People reflect on their past, correct their mistakes, nurture hope for the future, and experience personal growth and transformation. Additionally, the novel raises awareness of social injustice and inequality, offering alternatives. In Korean society, Christmas encourages the willingness to care for and help others, facilitating discussions and understanding of societal issues. For these reasons, "A Christmas Carol" is considered a culturally and ethically significant time in Korean Christmas, and the two are intertwined in various aspects. This study explores the interaction between cultural change and ethical teachings by 'A Christmas Carol' and investigates the impact of this work on Christmas culture and social change. It serves as the basis for emphasizing moral principles and humanity during the Christmas season, and this research provides suggestions for future research directions, aiming to deepen the understanding of Dickens' work and the importance of "A Christmas Carol." Through these efforts, it is expected that valuable insights into the connection between Christmas culture and moral messages will be gained. In this study, we will delve into the enduring appeal and cultural significance of "A Christmas Carol," discussing how this novel has evolved into a beloved holiday tradition and a true symbol of Christmas. We will also examine the adaptation of this novel into various media and its influence on holiday season celebrations. Insights into the impact of this novel on Korean society and its continued significance in modern times will be provided, suggesting a direction for a healthier and more desirable path for Korean society.

Bitcoin Distribution in the Age of Digital Transformation: Dual-path Approach

  • Purpose - The potential use of cryptocurrencies in a retail environment proposes a rapid shift from the traditional financial system. Nakamoto(2008) defines Bitcoin as an open source alt-coin based on the blockchain technology. Luther(2016) insists that the new technology will be widely adopted for the digital payment processes. However, the use of Bitcoin is in the real world is still sparse. Despite the growing attention and purported benefits, it is doubtful whether the Bitcoin will be eagerly accepted by ordinary consumers in the mainstream market. To answer this question, this paper develops a causal model that has a dual path to explain the motivation to adopt Bitcoin. According to Glaser, Zimmermann, Haferkorn, Weber, and Siering(2014), Bitcoin is both an asset and a currency at the same time. In summary, the attitude towards Bitcoin may vary depending on whether the fin-tech product is viewed as an asset or as a currency. Based on the arguments, we propose that asset attitude and currency attitude will give influence to consumers' intention to adopt Bitcoin. Research design, data, and methodology - Quantitative data collection is conducted from a Bitcoin SIG(special interest group) working in an internet community. As a result, 192 respondents who know Bitcoin completed the survey. To analyze the causal relations in the research model, PLS-SEM(partial least squares structural equation modeling) method is used. Also, reliability and validity of measures are tested by performing Cronbach's alpha test, Fornell-Larcker test and confirmatory factor test. Results - Our test results show that every hypothesis is supported except the influence of perceived ease of use. In addition, we find that the relationships between constructs are different between the high innovative group and low innovative group. Conclusions - We provide evidence that asset attitude and currency attitude are key antecedents of Bitcoin adoption.

핫스팟 접근영역 인식에 기반한 바이너리 코드 역전 기법을 사용한 저전력 IoT MCU 코드 메모리 인터페이스 구조 연구 (Low-Power IoT Microcontroller Code Memory Interface using Binary Code Inversion Technique Based on Hot-Spot Access Region Detection)

  • Microcontrollers (MCUs) for endpoint smart sensor devices of internet-of-thing (IoT) are being implemented as system-on-chip (SoC) with on-chip instruction flash memory, in which user firmware is embedded. MCUs directly fetch binary code-based instructions through bit-line sense amplifier (S/A) integrated with on-chip flash memory. The S/A compares bit cell current with reference current to identify which data are programmed. The S/A in reading '0' (erased) cell data consumes a large sink current, which is greater than off-current for '1' (programmed) cell data. The main motivation of our approach is to reduce the number of accesses of erased cells by binary code level transformation. This paper proposes a built-in write/read path architecture using binary code inversion method based on hot-spot region detection of instruction code access to reduce sensing current in S/A. From the profiling result of instruction access patterns, hot-spot region of an original compiled binary code is conditionally inverted with the proposed bit-inversion techniques. The de-inversion hardware only consumes small logic current instead of analog sink current in S/A and it is integrated with the conventional S/A to restore original binary instructions. The proposed techniques are applied to the fully-custom designed MCU with ARM Cortex-M0$^{TM}$ using 0.18um Magnachip Flash-embedded CMOS process and the benefits in terms of power consumption reduction are evaluated for Dhrystone$^{TM}$ benchmark. The profiling environment of instruction code executions is implemented by extending commercial ARM KEIL$^{TM}$ MDK (MCU Development Kit) with our custom-designed access analyzer.
