지지면의 종류에 따른 탄성저항 협응이동훈련이 10대 태권도 선수의 균형 및 하지의 근활성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Coordination Locomotor Training Using Elastic Bands on the Balance and Muscle Activity of the Lower Extremities of Teenage Taekwondo Players According to the Type of Support Surface)

  • Purpose: This study examined the possibility of muscle strength and balance ability improvement through coordinative locomotor training by making a difference on the supporting plane using a resistance band for adolescent athlete of Taekwondo sparring athletes. Methods: A total of 22 students were selected as to the participants of the study, and 11 students each were randomly assigned to the control and experimental group for coordination locomotor training using a resistance band on stable and unstable supporting surface. The training period was 60 min, three times a week, for 8 weeks in total. To confirm changes on balance ability of each participant, balance assessment devices are used. Moreover, surface electromyography was used for muscle strength evaluation. Results: After coordinated locomotor training using a resistance band for 8 weeks, the difference bet ween groups was not significant; Also, the improvement in strength was no significant difference in other muscles in the between groups, but there was a significant in the muscle activity of the rectus muscle of the right thigh in the experimental group. Conclusion: The participants demonstrated that coordinative locomotor training using the elastic band on an unstable supporting surface was able to obtain junctional effects for the prevention of exercise injuries in youth taekwondo sparring athletes, and muscle activity exercise of the rectus muscle of the right thigh was particularly effective.

  • Background: Task-oriented training on an unstable support surface is an effective intervention for improving the ankle joint stability and muscle strength in patients with ankle instability. This study examined the effects of balance training on an unstable support surface in patients with ankle sprains with ankle instability. Methods: Forty-four patients with ankle sprains participated in this study. Screening tests were performed and assigned to an experimental group, who performed task-oriented training on an unstable support surface (n=22), and a control group, who performed task-oriented training on a support surface (n=22) using a randomization program. All interventions were applied 3 times per week for 4 weeks. The numeric rating scale (NRS), cumberland ankle instability tool (CAIT), balance ability, muscle activity, and muscle thickness were compared to evaluate the effects of the intervention. Results: Both groups showed significant differences in the NRS, CAIT, balance ability, and muscle activity between before and after the intervention (p<.05). In addition, there were significant differences in balance ability, muscle activity, and muscle thickness between the experimental and control groups (p<.05). Conclusion: Task-oriented training on an unstable support surface is an effective intervention for improving the balance ability, muscle activity, and muscle thickness during contraction.

조종사 실기시험 표준자료에 관한 연구;비행교육 및 평가에 필요한 표준자료를 중심으로 (A study on Standards for Pilot Practical Test;Focused on the references for flight training and evaluation)

  • The purpose of the study is to show the need for the development of standard materials which can be used for flight training and pilot practical tests in the future. In this paper the flight training and evaluation references of flight training institutes certified by the Ministry of Construction and Transportation(MOCT) are compared with references of the international organization such as ICAO and FAA. As a result it is found that the flight schools certified by the MOCT have used different references for flight training and evaluation. Therefore, this study suggests creation and operation of an expert advisory group to develop new standards for flight training and evaluation, so called " Flight Training Manual", in Korea.

한의 일차의료기관에서 한의 비만 상담 표준매뉴얼을 활용한 한의 비만 상담 내용 분석 및 사용자 만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Counseling Practice for Obesity in Korean Medicine Clinics and the Satisfaction for Counseling Manual for the Standardized Management of Obesity in Korean Medicine)

  • Objectives: Korean Medicine Doctors (KMDs) have treated patients with obesity using a holistic approach with a multicomponent approach on counseling. However, there is currently no data regarding KMDs' counseling practices for weight loss. We conducted a retrospective chart review to better understand the Korean medicine counseling practice for weight loss. Methods: Twenty-one KMDs were involved in this project as practitioners. The contents of counseling were categorized based on patterns according to the counseling manual for the standardized management of obesity in Korean Medicine. Results: The counseling was conducted based on the theory of Korean medicine and the contents of counseling were different from patterns. However, the quality of the counseling were different from each KMD, and the counseling were focused on evaluating patient conditions and not on providing specific recommendations for lifestyle changes. Conclusions: Therefore, specific guidance of counseling for healthier lifestyle and dietary habits, and the training of the standardized manual training are needed.

  • As the workers are getting old, they need to be expert in their fields. Expertise is an invaluable means of shipbuilding industries because of the technological advancements. Therefore, the workers have to attend training seminars and upgrade their technical knowledge. In shipbuilding industries, most workers operate transporters based on experience not on learning from specialization in the shipyard. It is needed for the workers of transporters to be educated technical manual and system. Thus, this research shows that educational system which is interactive and very effective with Augmented Reality(AR) for the non-specialist workers. The educational interactive system based on AR is very supportive and worth for the workers. This study considers the system which makes the workers reduce malfunction of the products and mistakes.

The Biofeedback Scapular Stabilization Exercise in Stroke Patients Effect of Muscle Activity and Function of the Upper Extremity

  • Purpose: This study attempts to understand the effect of stabilization exercise of biofeedback scapular on muscle activity and functional evaluation of the upper extremity in stroke patients. Methods: Patients were divided into two groups; a biofeedback scapular stabilization exercise group comprised of 8 patients and a task-oriented training group including another 8 patients, and 30-minute exercise was performed 5 times a week for 8 weeks. Electromyogram was used to measure muscular activity of lower trapezius, deltoid middle, and serratus anterior. Fugl-Meyer Assessment and Manual Function Test were used to evaluate functions of the muscles mentioned. Results: Significant difference was observed in the comparison group before and after exercise in muscular activity of lower trapezius, deltoid middle, and serratus anterior, Fugl-Meyer Assessment, and Manual Function Test. Conclusion: Therefore, we could see that biofeedback scapular stabilization exercise is more effective than task-oriented training in facilitating muscle activation and functional capacity of upper limb.

가상현실훈련과 위팔 기능적 전기자극이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 위팔 근력, 능동관절운동과 기능에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Virtual Reality Training with Upper Limb Functional Electrical Stimulation to Improve on Muscle Strength, AROM, and Function of Upper Limb Joints in Patient with Chronic Stroke)

  • Purpose : The purpose of the present study is to examine the effects of VR training with FES on improving the muscle strength, AROM, and function of the upper limb joints in patients with chronic stroke. Methods : The present study makes use of a pre-post control group design. Thirty patients with chronic stroke were randomly assigned to two groups according to treatment method - the VRFES group and the control group. The VRFES group received 15 minutes of VR training and 15 minutes of FES treatment. The control group received 15 minutes of conservative physical therapy and 15 minutes of VR training. All subjects received 30 minutes of treatment, three times a week, for eight weeks, which amounted to 24 sessions of training. The muscle strength, AROM, and function of the upper extremities were measured before the training and eight weeks after. Upper limb muscle strength was tested using the Digital Manual Muscle Tester while AROM was measured using the Digital Dual Inclinometer. The clinical assessment tools for upper extremity function included the use of the Manual Function Test and the Jebsen-Taylor Hand Function Test. Results : Both groups exhibited great improvements in muscle strength and upper extremity function during the intervention period. The VRFES group exhibited a significant difference in muscle strength, AROM, and function of the upper extremities in comparison with the control group(p<.05). Our results reveal that VRFES is more effective for the muscle strength, AROM, and function of the upper extremities in patients with chronic stroke. Conclusion : VRFES treatment will be used as an important intervention for improving the muscle strength, AROM, and function of the upper extremities in patients with chronic stroke and achieving the functional recovery of the upper extremities.

119 상황 접수 요원의 대응능력 향상을 위한 업무 및 훈련 개선방안 연구 (A study on the improvement of work and training to make better Korean 119 dispatcher's response ability)

  • 본 논문에서는 한국의 119 상황 접수 요원들의 업무능력 향상을 위하여 업무와 교육방식의 문제점과 개선방안을 제시하였다. 먼저, 한국 및 미국의 응급전화 접수에 대한 매뉴얼과 교육 방법을 조사 및 비교분석 하였다. 조사내용을 바탕으로 경기도 119상황실 상황접수 요원 95명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 구체적인 개선방안을 검토하였다. 그 결과 119상황 접수와 관련된 인력 및 장비는 지속적으로 보완되고 있지만, 접수요원들에 대한 사전교육 등 훈련은 부족하여 실무에서는 요원들의 개인적인 경험과 역량에 의존하고 있는 실정이었다. 또한 업무에 비하여 전체적으로는 여전히 인력이 부족한 실정이었다. 따라서 119상황접수 요원에 대한 체계적인 교육 프로그램 마련 및 적정한 훈련과 테스트 기준 마련을 통한 상황접수요원의 전문성 강화, 대응 업무의 표준화 및 적정인력을 배치를 통하여 상황 판단의 오류 발생을 방지하고 업무를 체계화할 필요가 있는 것으로 검토 되었다.

호흡 재교육 훈련이 만성 목통증 환자의 통증과 기능장애 수준, 자세, 삶의 질, 폐 기능에 미치는 영향: 무작위 대조군 실험 (Effects of Breathing Re-education Training on Pain and Dysfunction Levels, Posture, Quality of Life, Pulmonary Function in Patients with Chronic Neck Pain: A Randomized Controlled Trial)

  • Background: This study aimed to determine the effects of training on breathing re-education on pain and dysfunction levels, posture, quality of life (QoL), and pulmonary function in patients. Methods: This study included 34 patients with chronic neck pain and upper thoracic breathing pattern were included. The participants were assigned to either the routine physical therapy program (RPTP) (CG; n=17) or RPTP and breathing pattern re-education training (EG; n=17). The CG and EG groups performed RPTP for 40 minutes, and only the EG groups performed breathing re-education training for 10 minutes. Exercises were performed thrice weekly for both groups. Level of pain and dysfunction, posture, QoL and pulmonary function status were assessed before and after the intervention. Results: After four weeks of intervention, numeric pain rating scale (NPRS), Korean version of neck disability index, cranio-vertebral angle, cranial rotation angle, and 12-item short form health survey-physical and mental component summaries had significant differences before and after intervention in both groups (p<.01). However, only NPRS, forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume in 1s, and maximum voluntary ventilation showed significant interactions between the two groups and measurement time (p<.01). Conclusion: Breathing re-education training and RPTP may be optimal for patients with chronic neck pain and may be more effective in improving neck pain and pulmonary function.

An application of manual control to swinging-up of a one-link pendulum

  • It is difficult to obtain a swinging-up control sequence of a one-link pendulum analytically or numerically. In this paper, we obtain a proper control sequence through manual control experiments. However, no proper control sequence will be obtained if the rotational velocity of the pendulum is fast for the human operator. To overcome such a disadvantage, we propose a method for training the operator by using a pendulum simulator.
