Industry-University cooperation for pioneering overseas market contributes to improve the quality of manpower and the export performance. However, performance is showing that without exporting experience, exploring overseas market is not promising. Without systematic training and preparation, pioneering overseas market can be a waste of time and budget. I have conducted interviews with 30 participants in Industry-University cooperation for pioneering overseas market. As a result, I have derived a model for each phase of Industry-University cooperation. 8 stages of this model are student selection, cooperation company networking, student education, overseas market research, selection of trade fair, preparation of trade fair, dispatch of trade fair and follow-up management. Opinions of experts have been reflected and compiled to each suggested stage. Specific details can be applied directly to those affiliated who want to start the first or foremost pioneering overseas markets.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to explore changes in pharmacists' perceptions of preceptorship in the experiential education and to evaluate the educational effects of a preceptor orientation program. Methods: Code-matched pre- and post-surveys were conducted for Pharmacists who participated in a preceptor orientation program designed by the Pusan National University (PNU) College of Pharmacy in May and December, 2011. A total of 50 sets of survey responses were analyzed. Results: After a 2-day course of 8-hour preceptor orientation workshop scheduled 1 week apart, the number of respondents who became fully aware and understand toward goals and vision of 6-year pharmacy education was increased from 52% to 96%. The orientation program also improved the understanding of pharmacists on preceptor's roles and functions, and the number of respondents who reported that their perceptions of preceptorship were changed positively was increased by 40%. In addition, the data demonstrated that the preceptor orientation program improved the overall perceived self-assessed competence of participants as a preceptor by 12.9 points (from 51.76 to 64.66 points, p = 0.0001). Most of the participants agreed the preceptor orientation program was beneficial and ongoing training and education for preceptor development is necessary. Conclusion: This study identified the perceptions of pharmacists on 6-year pharmacy education and preceptorship in the experiential education. Findings from the survey demonstrated that the preceptor orientation program of the PNU College of Pharmacy was effective to improve pharmacist's competence as a preceptor. This study was a good start in identifying areas where preceptor development is needed, and provides insights into the development and implementation of preceptor orientation programs. In the future, more rigorous research is needed to explore long-term effects of preceptor orientation program and the outcomes of preceptor education in the improvement of the quality of experiential education.

Furthermore, with the acceleration of Information super-highway construction and generalization of basic technology for multi-media, the educational environment has transformed to demander-focused and internet basis service which transcends time and space. Consequently, the educational structure is converting from instructors unilateral lead to student-centered. Additionally, the common usage and digitalization of information have an effect on progress of education quality and cost saving. Although there are plenty of educational web pages on internet, we can notice that many of them are inconvenient for users to put into practice. The reason is that many experts overlook the fundamental which is the basic skill for design and understanding of Web must be accompanied with Web design. Therefore, this thesis will find out the points users should consider for use of Web page and realize the educational web page, reflected for VRML training.
Application of space technology in the field of communication and remote sensing becomes increasingly important in human life. Advancement of communications means shinks the size of our globe and that of remote sensing techniques improves the quality of human well-being. It is a world trent for each country to make its best effort in advancing its capabilities in these fields sometimes independently and other times jointly with other nations. Korea being no exception to this world trend is planning various starategies in application and development of space technologies. However, unfortunately, Korea is a new commer in this field. Statellite Technology Research Center (SaTReC) of Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) initiated to aquire satellite technology by sending its graduates abroad in 1989. As a result KITSAT-1 was launched in 1992 and KITSAT- 2 was launched in 1993 and they became Korea's first two satellites in orbits. Academic program including On-the Job-Training for Korean students at the University of Surrey, UK, is also an innovative scheme of mixing education and practical know-how for successful technology transfer, which resulted in a small but very capable and effective satellite experts group in Korea for self-propelled research and development in space activities. In this context, space development strategy should be considered in terms of the following factors; (1). Participation in international space activities as an active member to utilize international organization and to contribute to the peaceful use of space, (2). Development of national defence structure for independent activities in space, (3). Enhancement of manpower utilization for space development and promotion of national pride and (4). Education of youngsters for the extension of intellectual activities into the limitless space. In order to make very costly space development project most efficient, governmental level space development organization directed by the head of nation should be established and should manage all space development programs making full use of its all available resources including the advantage of the university based R&D capability.

Purpose: Nursing education should be considered the training for professional nurses who can deliver high quality care to meet the needs of health consumers. This study was aimed at evaluation on practice satisfaction of nursing student in the community. Method: The data was collected from 107 students at 4 colleges and 72 students at 3 universities in Daegu city from March 1st to June 30th, 2001. This study was investigated by the questionnaire which was consisted of general characteristics, recognition of nursing and practice satisfaction. The questionnaire of practice satisfaction used in this study was modified from Lee, S.J.(1980)'s and Park(1994)'s questionnaire. The data was analyzed by SAS(ver. 6.12) program and statistical methods used were mean, standard deviation and ANOVA(analysis of variables). Result: The findings of this study were as follows: 1. Students showed that nursing is a kind of activities for promotion of health, prevention of disease, recovery of health and relieving of pain in the recognition of the nursing. 2. Students showed that the community- practice gives an opportunity to learn the relationship with health team for the solution of trouble patients in the recognition for the necessity of the community-practice. 3. In the practice satisfaction, students gained high score in evaluation, but especially low score in instruct of the community-practice. 4. The general characteristics which affected practice satisfaction were grade, motivation of nursing selection and duration of practice in the community-practice. Conclusion: As theses results it was necessary to prepare the programed and developed practice-education in the community.

Oysters are rich in nutrients with good flavor, and disease prevention is required in both the East and the West for high-quality seafood. The best way to store and transport mass-produced oysters is using dry techniques. Using both hot and frozen drying technologies to obtain a perfectly dried oyster often destroys much of the flavor and nutrients found with the oyster meat. This study uses a low temperature vacuum drying technology to investigate the final weight ratio of wild and farmed dried oysters. Additionally, the heat transfer characteristics of steamed oysters are discussed in this paper.
This research has a significant meaning to observe and understand the historical condition of a furniture industry and the characteristics of Korean home furniture's formation, ability, skill and materials from 1980s when there were an economic growth and a historical development of Korean home furniture occurred to present days. During 1980s, there was an automatic system available and has enforced and settled the standards on its quality and price in a furniture industry. Also, there was a big trend of black furniture as well as an entrance of corporation and high glossy furniture due to technical cooperation from Europe. In 1990s, there was an entrance of furniture which various techniques was applied due to a high development of the materials and skills, and also various sizes of height and weight and enlargement of acceptance function using highly-technological hardware. After 2000 and now, pro-environmental products is embossed in the Korean home furniture where they added a public issue which is the concept of well being, and A.I and sub material has been pro-environment. There also was a natural unity between nature and technology because of increased usage of trees with its natural patterns, metals, and glasses. For the future development of home furniture design, This problem should be promptly recognized that current home furniture designs are now on the verge of being lack of originality and are just following the market demand and recent trend as it is. Then, there should be a development of its specialized, detailed, unique design as well as a development of advanced materials, production management, distribution, and so on, and carrying out a diversified research continuously. There also should be a systematic education, which is necessary for training specialists to lead the Korean home furniture design industry as well as preparing a basic level for the future without a negligence.
This study analyzed trends in geoscientific research funding provided by the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation (KOSEF) and examined strategies to promote geoscientific research. The strengths of geoscientific research in South Korea include the excellent academic quality of researchers, established research infrastructure, and inter-disciplinary research. Weaknesses include insufficient leadership in related societies and institutes, insufficient research productivity, and the exclusion of the field from nationally supported large-scale research projects. Opportunities for expanded research include environmental issues, the sustainable use of natural resources, the promotion of international research cooperation, and the initiation of national efforts to find solutions for regional problems. However, growth in the geosciences is threatened by prioritized investment in fields such as biotechnology, nanoscience, and information technology, a dismissive attitude toward the growth of basic sciences, and an increased demand for projects with visible economic and societal impacts. In terms of funding, group-based programs receive more support than individual-based programs. Between 1978 and 2006, KOSEF invested 1,744 billion won ($1.873 billion US) in a total of 46,748 basic research projects. Of this amount, 62.1 billion won ($66.7 million US) was allocated to 1,901 projects in the geosciences, which was roughly 2.6-10.6% of the money available in a given year. These funds were used to support research and development, the development and maintenance of necessary infrastructure, and the education and training of geoscientists.
Background : Qigong is an energy-healing intervention used to prevent and cure ailments and to improve health through regular practice. Although qigong-neither itself nor its postulated mechanism of action-are within the paradigm of modern Western medical science, its effects on the human body could be possible. Objectives : This study aims to review the bibliography, biological responses and therapeutic effects of Qigong. In the process, this review will grasp trends in this field of studies and will direct further researches into the right direction. Method : The computerized Korean databases were searched from their respective inceptions up to January 2008. The search terms used were 'qi', 'qigong', 'doin', 'training', 'bioenergy', 'life nurturing' and random or Korean language terms related to qigong. Several specialized journals were also manually searched for relevant articles. Result : Since the 1990s, Qigong papers in the Korean Literature are increased. The articles on Korean traditional medicine had been published more than those on physical education or nursing etc. However, since the majority of the trials determine questionnaire, it was difficult to determine the efficacy of a specific intervention. The methodological quality of the trials was generally low (Jadad score: mean, 1.3; range, 1 to 4), questioning their reliability. Conclusions : More profound studies for Qigong are needed. Further rigorous clinical trials with more objective outcome measures that include sham procedures should be performed. Specifically, we think it should be clinical studies and qualitative research methods for evaluation are needed.

The inherent efficiency of a ship would be prior to any other quality factors in ship's safety, because lack of it may give rise to a serious sea casuality even if it were a light mistake in operation. And the representative casualty comes from a deficiency of stability and an operating error combined would be capsizing. The Korean offshore large purseiner looks to have a structural weak point with small range of stability in spite of her big initial metacentric height, and have various type of roll reduction devices in order to cover up the defect. The aim of this study is to grasp for the roll reduction characteristics of the purseiner with bilge keel only and a stern keel additionally attached. The results are summarized as follows; The rolling angle of the model ship was increased in accordance with increase of the wave period and height, especially at close to the natural wave period of her, and the trends were more distinguished in the situation of bilge keel only installation than in the stern keel additionally installed. And stern keel has not noticeable effect on the reduction of the roll in the light ship condition, but has a little effect in full load condition.
