This study was aimed at comparing and evaluating one main role, the professional self concept and job satisfaction of public health nurses and clinical nurses. Method: The data was collected from 72 nurses in 8 health centers and 86 nurses in 5 hospitals in Daegu city and Kyungpook province from May 5th to June 5th, 2001. This study was interviewed by trained social workers. The origin of questionnaires used in this study were PSCNI(Professional Self-Concept of Nurses Instrument) to measure the professional self concept of nurses and JDI(Job Descriptive Index) to measure the job satisfaction of nurses. The data was analyzed by SAS(version 6.12) and statistical methods used were Chi-square test, t-test, ANOVA(analysis of variables) and ANCOVA(analysis of covariate). Result: The findings of this study were as follows: 1. The most important domain in the main role of public health nurses were as counsellors, managers, mediators and evaluators. In clinical nurses, their main roles were, directors of nursing, researchers, spokesmans, and informers. 2. Public health nurses showed lower scores in the professional self concept of nurses than clinical nurses, what statistically significant tool was used to suggest this finding. 3. Public health nurses showed higher scores in job satisfaction than clinical nurses, but again, explain the tool used in these findings for give a rationals. 4. For public health nurses, general characteristics which affected professional self concept were age, educational level, and duration of job. In clinical nurses, the general characteristics which affected professional self concept were age, religion, marital status, and duration of job. 5. For public health nurses, there was no general characteristic which affected job satisfaction. In clinical nurses, the general characteristics which affected job satisfaction were age, religion, and duration of job. Conclusion: Nursing profession should give a training to competent nurses who can deliver high quality care to meet the needs of health consumers. The role of nurses has been expended and specialized as health conception has been changed in Korea.

Purpose: The current challenges faced by nurses in providing high quality and evidence-based practice (EBP) supported care require profound changes in nursing education. To understand the changes needed to strengthen EBP education, the researchers examined EBP self-efficacy, course needs, barriers, and facilitators for academic faculty and clinical nurse preceptors to teach EBP in undergraduate nursing curricula. Methods: For this study, mixed-method approach was used with survey data collected from 73 academic faculty members from 54 universities. Further, 17 clinical nurse preceptors in three academic hospitals provided qualitative data for exploration of barriers and facilitators to teaching EBP. Data analysis used SPSS/WIN 21.0 and content analysis. Results: Quantitative data showed that although the overall level of self-efficacy among faculty was moderate, the implementation levels were relatively low. Most faculty members agreed with the need to integrate EBP courses into undergraduate nursing curricula. The qualitative data showed that the barriers to teaching EBP were lack of knowledge, skill, and initial investment for teaching EBP; hierarchical, rules-oriented nursing culture; potential learner overloads in processing EBP; limited research dissemination and application. Facilitators were identified as the importance of EBP to the profession of nursing; collaboration in schools and hospitals; and continuing education in teaching/utilizing EBP. Conclusion: The findings indicate that for successful integration of EBP ni nursing education there is a need for faculty training and integrated EBP courses.
As the importance of intellectual assets has been brought into relief, this study aims at positively verifying where the intellectual workers' overall level of their knowledge conversion preference and their job character has reached, and how much the knowledge conversion preference, the job character and the fitness of both factors affects the job effectiveness respectively. For this purpose 3 types of research hypotheses were set up and the result of the verification of the hypotheses is summarized as follows: First, the verification of the relation between the knowledge conversion preference and the job effectiveness revealed that the workers who have the higher synthetic ability in knowledge conversion preference show the higher job satisfaction and job product. Secondly, the verification of the relation between the MPS representing the job character by measured index and the job satisfaction revealed that the absolute value of relative coefficient between the 4 factors excluding the public welfare factor and the MPS is 4, interpreted as medium correlation. Thirdly, the analysis on the degree of relation between the job product measured by the quality of job result and the input effort and the MPS showed that the absolute value of person relative coefficient is 5, interpreted not only as medium correlation but also very meaningful. Accordingly, the main purpose of this study was to give a guideline which can be utilized as an indicator for educating, training and placing the workers. As results, the main effect that the variable of knowledge conversion preference and job character chosen as the independent variable influences on the dependent variable of job satisfaction and job product is very meaningful except the public welfare factor.
Machine learning refers to a model generation technique that can solve specific problems from the generalization process for given data. In order to generate a high performance model, high quality training data and learning algorithms for generalization process should be prepared. As one way of improving the performance of model to be learned, the Ensemble technique generates multiple models rather than a single model, which includes bagging, boosting, and stacking learning techniques. This paper proposes a new Ensemble technique with multiple stacking that outperforms the conventional stacking technique. The learning structure of multiple stacking ensemble technique is similar to the structure of deep learning, in which each layer is composed of a combination of stacking models, and the number of layers get increased so as to minimize the misclassification rate of each layer. Through experiments using four types of datasets, we have showed that the proposed method outperforms the exiting ones.

Although microscopic analysis of tissue slides has been the basis for disease diagnosis for decades, intra- and inter-observer variabilities remain issues to be resolved. The recent introduction of digital scanners has allowed for using deep learning in the analysis of tissue images because many whole slide images (WSIs) are accessible to researchers. In the present study, we investigated the possibility of a deep learning-based, fully automated, computer-aided diagnosis system with WSIs from a stomach adenocarcinoma dataset. Three different convolutional neural network architectures were tested to determine the better architecture for tissue classifier. Each network was trained to classify small tissue patches into normal or tumor. Based on the patch-level classification, tumor probability heatmaps can be overlaid on tissue images. We observed three different tissue patterns, including clear normal, clear tumor and ambiguous cases. We suggest that longer inspection time can be assigned to ambiguous cases compared to clear normal cases, increasing the accuracy and efficiency of histopathologic diagnosis by pre-evaluating the status of the WSIs. When the classifier was tested with completely different WSI dataset, the performance was not optimal because of the different tissue preparation quality. By including a small amount of data from the new dataset for training, the performance for the new dataset was much enhanced. These results indicated that WSI dataset should include tissues prepared from many different preparation conditions to construct a generalized tissue classifier. Thus, multi-national/multi-center dataset should be built for the application of deep learning in the real world medical practice.
The practice of producing and transmitting TV programs with uneven loudness can harm audiences' welfare in the digital environment where audiences are entitled to be offered quality broadcasting service. The purpose of this paper is to investigate issues concerning the digital loudness policy institutionalized in Korea since May 2016, and to offer policy suggestions. This paper reviews previous studies on audience welfare in digital broadcasting, focusing on the close link between loudness policy and audience welfare. In order to explore the state of international policy, this paper examines loudness standards developed by international standardization organizations including ITU, ATSC, and EBU, along with loudness regulations in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Korea, respectively. Based on the analysis, this paper suggests recommendations for policy makers and broadcasters. First, policies on mandating regular monitoring and establishing penality system should be established for broadcasters not to violate loudness standards. Second, broadcasters are recommended to collect audience feedback, to be equipped with loudness measuring devices, to offer personnel training programs, and to check the compliance of loudness standards when they outsource TV programs.

This paper is a report of an empirical survey performed to 277 small and medium-sized enterprise in the korea. Cronbach's alpha coefficient is employed to analyze the reliability of the data. The effect analysis of each group is performed by the SEM(structural equation model). We use the SPSS' Amos program to analyze the equation modeling and test the hypotheses of the model.

Background: There has not been a general estimation about survival rates of breast cancer cases in Iran. Therefore, the present study aimed to assess survival using a meta-analysis. Materials and Methods: International credible databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, Science direct and Google Scholar and Iranian databases such as Magiran, Irandoc and SID, from 1997 to 2015 were searched. All articles covering survival rate of breast cancer were entered into the study without any limits. Quality assessment of the articles and data extraction were performed by two researchers using the modified STROBE checklist, which includes 12 questions. Articles with scores greater than 8 were included in the analysis. A limitation of this meta-analysis was different methods for presenting of results in the papers surveyed. Results: A total of 21 articles with a sample of 12,195 people were analyzed. The one-year, three-year, five-year and ten-year survival rates of breast cancer in Iran were estimated to be 95.8% (94.6-97.0), 82.4% (79.0-85.8), 69.5% (64.5-74.5), 58.1% (39.6-76.6), respectively. The most important factors affecting survival of breast cancer were age, number of lymph nodes involved, size of the tumor and the stage of the disease. Conclusion: The five- and ten- year survival rates in Iran are lower than in developed countries. Conducting breast cancer screening plan support (including regular clinical examination, mammography), public training and raising awareness should be helpful in facilitating early diagnosis and increasing survival rates for Iranian women.

The purpose of this paper was to diagnose the current status of educational use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in school. Based on the survey results, the direction for the educational use of information and communication technology was suggested. The findings were the use of ICT for teaching and learning activities were quite low in schools. The equipments for ICT were becoming out-dated quickly requiring replacement with new ones. The maintenance and operation of the equipments require additional funds that are not sufficient in most schools. There were quite limited number of educational software and a quality of CD-ROM titles. The infrastructures for developing and supplying educational software were poorly structured. The following policies were suggested: Establishing an efficient system for supplying equipments for ICT to schools; Constructing an effective infrastructure for developing and supplying educational software to teachers and students; Developing practical and effective teacher training programs; And funding schools for the maintenance of educational use of ICT.
