  • The asset management of railway facilities is a total framework for finally supporting a safe and comfortable train service, which includes functions of supporting evaluation of condition and performance of infrastructures, making the decision method of repair or rehabilitation of deteriorated facilities, and lengthening the life cycle of structure through the decision of adequate cost and time of repair or reinforcement. In the range of the asset management, organization, human, the target, and information & data of company are included. Therefore, in this paper, appling the method of asset management analysis to the railway structures, the process of the risk assesment using BRE(Business Risk Exposure) and the basis of consisting optimized renewal decision-making are expressed.

  • In general, the national rail system put an emphasis on distribution planing of stations for smooth operation of transporting goods, train allocation, parking, and maintenance. Since the national rail system is operated on the ground level, it is feasible to improve various aspects of the system during its operation. On the contrary, urban rail system is operated in the limited space under the ground, and thus, improving various aspects of the system during its operation is infeasible. Specifically, the urban subway system must have a comprehensive track distribution plan because the urban subway system has to operate in a limited environment such as it operates in a much shorter time period, The subway system has to be ready for various operations and events such as trains returning in the opposite direction. parking trains that need repair, parking during night time, storing various maintenance equipments, and connections to other tracks. Furthermore, considering the future extension of tracks, a comprehensive track distribution plan is a must.

  • This paper is described the systematic activities of RCM to improve the availability for AREX railway system. The purpose of these activities are to maintain and enhance the reliability, availability, maintainability and safety, and to implement the effective maintenance for electrical and mechanical system including rolling stock, signalling, telecommunication, power supply, overhead catenary and platform screen door with impact to train operation.. The main activities consist of systematic failure and repair recording by integral information system, analysis and corresponding countermeasure. As applying these activities in opeartion and maintenance works, the availability of AREX railway system is going on improvement gradually, and maintenacne works are improved with these results.

  • Long term measurement data on the bridge response caused by moving loads are fundamental ingredient to the development or improvement of the new bridge design. In addition, proper establishment of the systematic analysis and diagnosis together with the maintenance system become the essential procedure to the effective repair/reinforcement/retrofit of not only the high speed but also the conventional railway bridges. Therefore, the real time health monitoring system on the important railway bridges should be enhancing the proper maintenance of the structures. The main objective of this study is, therefore, to develop a monitoring device including Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) function and the emphasis is place on the easy and economic installation of the developed system in the field condition.

전동차 제동장치의 고장데이터와 비용함수를 고려한 유지보수 정책에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Maintenance Policy Considering the Failure Data of the EMU Braking System and the Cost Function)

  • Railway vehicle equipment goes back again to the state just before when failure by the repair. In repairable system, we are interested in the failure interval. As such, a statistical model of the point process, NHPP power law is often used for the reliability analysis of a repairable system. In order to derive a quantitative reliability value of repairable system, we analyze the failure data of the air brake system of the train line 7. The quantitative value is the failure intensity function that was modified, converted into a cost-rate function. Finally we studied the optimal number and optimal interval in which the costs to a minimum consumption point as cost-rate function. The minimum cost point was 194,613 (won/day) during the total life cycle of the braking system, then the optimal interval were 2,251days and the number of optimal preventive maintenance were 7 times. Additionally, we were compared to the cost of a currently fixed interval(4Y) and the optimum interval then the optimal interval is 3,853(won/day) consuming smaller. In addition, judging from the total life, "fixed interval" is smaller than 1,157 days as "optimal interval".

도시철도 콘크리트궤도 목침목 분기기의 손상현황 (Damage Status of Turnout System with Wooden Sleeper of Concrete Track on Urban Transit)

  • 본 연구는 도시철도 콘크리트궤도 목침목 분기기의 손상현황 및 손상유형별 원인을 분석하고자 현장조사를 수행하였다. 또한 약 24년간의 분기기 유지관리이력을 열차 통과톤수와 연계하여 운영 호선별로 구분하여 손상발생빈도와 연계분석하고 현재까지 수행되어온 손상항목별 궤도보수내용의 적정성을 비교 분석하였다. 도시철도 콘크리트 도상에 적용된 목침목 분기기의 특성상 목침목 하부에 삽입되어 있는 침목방진패드의 성능유지가 중요하다. 현장조사결과 목침목 분기기 궤도구조의 적정탄성 수준 부족에 따른 손상 및 다양한 유형의 레일손상이 조사되었으며, 레일의 손상은 독립적인 손상이 아닌 다른 궤도구성품의 손상에서 기인되어 유발되는 경우도 다수 발견되었다. 분기기 궤도구성품별 손상빈도 분석결과, 손상발생빈도는 레일, 타이플레이트, 나사스파이크, 목침목 순으로 나타났으며 이를 바탕으로 목침목 분기기 궤도구조의 주요 손상유형은 목침목의 변형에 따른 나사스파이크와 타이플레이트의 고정상태불량에서 기인된 손상이 주요 손상유형으로 분석되었다. 연구결과, 분기기에 적용된 목침목의 변형은 레일체결장치구성품의 고정상태 불량을 초래하고 이로 인한 연계손상이 유발될 수 있음을 현장조사결과를 바탕으로 분석하였다. 또한 분기기의 중점 점검항목 및 현행 분기기 점검 시트의 보완점을 도출하여 개선 안을 제시하였다.

대용폐색방식 시행방법 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement for the Implement Way of a Substitute Block System)

  • Presently, The Regular Block System(Automatic, Interlocking block system) is usually used during the operation of block section. However, In case that the regular block system fails because of the failure of the fixed signals and block equipment or in case of the unexpected emergent situation which should drive on the single-track due to the accidents in the double-track section or the repair work of the one-track, the Substitute Block System to make use of the driving permission license(mapping ticket, mapping paper) is used. In case of the operation of the opposite line and the temporary one-track, the safety gets worse and the SBS may cause the fatal accidents such as a head-on & a rear-end collision. Also, the unmanned railroad stations has recently increased owing to the effective operation of the stations, for it is difficult to execute the SBS in their absence. As a result, the increase of the operation time made the train delayed. Being on the rise of these problems, in this study, we analyzed the problems and difficulties of the SBS on the single line which is lacking stability and safety and on the sections combined between maned and unmaned railroad stations. And we proposed the method to improve the existing drive permission license used for 50 years into the brand-new one with state-of-the art technology and scientific way. In the era of the 21th century, Carrying out the new SBS equipped with stability and safety, we will contribute to the effective operation of trains and the satisfaction of our customers in the future.

신도시 아파트단지의 생활폐기물 자동집하시설 운용 및 관리실태 (Management of Automated Vacuum Waste Collection Systems in Suburban Apartment Complexes)

  • 본 연구는 쾌적한 주거환경과 지속가능한 정주환경을 구현하기 위한 일환으로 신규 공공 아파트단지에 건설된 생활폐기물 자동집하시설에 대한 운영자와 거주자 평가를 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 수도권 소재 10개 지구의 시설 운영 관리 담당 실무자와 이들 지구의 11곳 아파트 단지에 거주하는 사용자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석결과, 생활폐기물 자동집하시설은 경제적 편익이 큰 시스템으로, 효율적인 시설 운영을 위해 전문성 강화, 설계 및 성능 개선, 인력 증원 등을 제시하였다. 이러한 개선사항은 시설에서 접수된 민원, 그리고 투입시설 및 관로시설의 수리 이력과 빈도가 반영된 결과였다. 한편, 거주자들은 생활폐기물 자동집하시설을 긍정적으로 평가하였고, 사용 평가에 대해서는 사용자 친화적 요소가 강화될 필요가 있다고 하였다. 거주자들은 투입시설을 주로 이용하는 점을 고려할 때 개선사항들은 투입구의 안전성, 위생적 관리, 고장 발생 시 신속한 수리, 악취제거, 쓰레기 분리 등이 있었으며, 올바른 시설 이용을 위한 거주자 대상의 교육을 지적하였다. 실제, 생활폐기물 자동집하시설의 운영 관리가 사용자의 부주의와 실수에 의한 고장이 빈번하여 제기되는 민원이 많은 점을 고려할 때 향후 시설 운영 관리의 전문성 강화 뿐만 아니라 거주자 교육이 함께 이루어져야 할 것이다.
