  • In this study, the dynamic characteristic of a contact wire and pantograph suppling electrical power to high-speed trains are investigated from an electrical response point of view. To analysis power line disturbance by induced contact loss phenomenon for high speed operation, a hardware Simulator which considered contact loss between contact wire and the pantograph as well as contact wire deviation is developed. It is confirmed that a contact wire and pantograph model are necessary for studying the dynamic behavior of the pantograph system. One of the most important needs accompanied by increasing the speed of high-speed train is reduced that an arc phenomenon by loss of contact brings out EMI. In case of a high-speed train using electrical power, as comparison with diesel rolling stock, PLD(Power Line Disturbance) such as harmonic, transient voltage and current, EMI, dummy signal injection etc usually occurs. Throughout experiment, it is verified that an arc phenomenon is brought out for simulator operation and consequently conducted noise is flowed in electric circuit by power line disturbance.

  • The decisive criteria to determine collection performance is the contact force between pantograph and catenary. The contact force consists of a static force and dynamic force related to vibration characteristics, train speed and etc. The low contact force leads to the loss of contact, and most countries regulate it below $3\∼5\%$ at operation speed. This study presents a technical overview of criteria for collection performance and modelling and simulation methods to analyze dynamic characteristics of catenary.

  • Derailment is likely to have a direct connection with human life and must be eliminated. A traveling safety evaluation method based mainly on derailment coefficient has already established. But this method is very difficult because Derailment is caused by multiple factors. To evaluate the derailment factor of running train that runs on the curved track, we make use of mechanism that wheel loads and lateral forces were affected by track and rolling stock parameter. In this paper, deal with a search on the parameter and derailment factor. According to results of computer simulation value of Q/P, running safety is connected with operation velocity, curve radius, cant, track irregularity, suspension stiffness and static wheel load ratio, SMRT train Line No. 5 Bogie is selected to do numerical study considering rolling stock and track condition.

  • This paper proposes a realistic electrical train to apply it to EMTDC. The pattern of a train operation always changes on the time domain. The impedance load generally does not represent it at this point. Therefor, we operated a realistic simulation by using measured data at field. Of course we might use the results of TPS.

  • To reduce harmonics in the AC line and achieve a unit power factor, A 4 paralled single phase PWM AC/DC converter has been proposed. In this paper, the coupling components are derived analytically from PWM converter input transformer model and control scheme to solve this problem is proposed. Unit power factor was obtained and the AC-side current harmonics were reduced. Simulation results show the usefulness of the proposed method and applicability to PWM converter in auxiliary block of high speed train.

  • An Optimum Fuzzy Controller which can be sued to direct the driver to control a running train in an optimum operation way has been developed. In the development process of the controller, the theory and technology of Optimum Control and Fuzzy Control are applied. Practical field tests have been carried out in P.R. of China. In order to make the function of the controller more perfect, the controller is improved by the advanced fuzzy control technology and tool in Japan. The computer simulation of the improved controller has been finished.

  • A wide metropolitan railway and a metropolitan railway in metropolitan area are transportation systems to cope with possible large demand and are under construction continually. A wide metropolitan railway and a metropolitan railway in metropolitan area are running with low speed because it is difficult to improve train speed according to short distances between stations and topography. There is a few study on improving commercial speed on the existing wide metropolitan railway and metropolitan railway in metropolitan area, but there is no study on a new wide metropolitan railway. This study present speed-up scheme of the Sosa-Wonsi line by enlarging the curve radius, reducing the horizontal steep gradient, reducing the stopping time, speeding up at underground section, and installing the PSD, etc. This scheme is evaluated using the simulation technique.

  • In recent years, the stability, safety and comfort of trains has received increased attention. The mechanical characteristics and differential settlement of the foundation are the main problems studied in high-speed railway research. The mechanical characteristics and differential settlement of the foundation are greatly affected by the ground treatment. Additionally, the effects of train load and earthquakes have a great impact. The dynamic action of the train will increase the vibration acceleration of the foundation and increase the cumulative deformation, and the earthquake action will affect the stability of the substructure. Earthquakes have an important practical significance for the dynamic analysis of the railway operation stage; therefore, considering the impact of earthquakes on the railway substructure stability has engineering significance. In this paper, finite element model of the CFG (Cement Fly-ash Gravel) pile + cement-soil compacted pile about composite foundation is established, and manual numerical incentive method is selected as the simulation principle. The mechanical characteristics and differential settlement of CFG pile + cement-soil compacted pile about composite foundation under train load are studied. The results show: under the train load, the neutral point of the side friction about CFG pile is located at nearly 7/8 of the pile length; the vertical dynamic stress-time history curves of the cement-soil compacted pile, CFG pile and soil between piles are all regular serrated shape, the vertical dynamic stress of CFG pile changes greatly, but the vertical dynamic stress of cement-soil compacted pile and soil between piles does not change much; the vertical displacement of CFG pile, cement-soil compacted pile and soil between piles change very little.

  • 고속철도 시스템에서 열차의 안전 운행을 지원하기 위해서 사용되는 이동통신기술로서 LTE-R(: Long Term Evolution-Railway)은 열차의 고속이동환경에 적합한 핸드오버기술을 갖추어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 철도통신시스템에서 사용되는 LTE-R 네트워크의 핸드오버 성능을 분석하고 이를 토대로 핸드오버 수행 조건을 제시한다. 성능 분석은 NS(: Network Simulator)-3를 기반으로 하는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 사용하며 성능 파라미터로는 SINR(: Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio), RSRP(: Reference Signal Received Power) 및 데이터율을 사용한다.

  • LTE-R(: Long Term Evolution-Railway)은 고속열차시스템 운영을 위한 필수 기술로서 LTE를 기반으로 한다. 고속열차 이동속도는 상용인 400[㎞/h] 급을 넘어 최근에는 600[km/h] 급으로 향하고 있다. 고속열차 시스템 통신기술로서 LTE-R은 열차의 이동속도에 적합한 끊김없는 통신을 제공해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위한 LTE-R 핸드오버 기술로서 예측기반 핸드오버를 제시하고 그 성능을 분석한다. 본 논문은 NS(:Network SImulator)-3에 기반한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 사용하여 수행한다.
