승강장 혼잡관리를 위한 열차의 정차시간 예측모형 (Development of the Train Dwell Time Model : Metering Strategy to Control Passenger Flows in the Congested Platform)

  • 열차 정차시간 증가는 열차 서비스 빈도를 감소시켜 열차와 승강장의 혼잡이 발생하게 된다. 그러므로 열차 정차시간(Train dwell time)에 관한 연구는 열차 운행 계획수립 관점에서 매우 중요하게 다루어 왔다. 본 논문은 계획된 정차시간을 준수할 수 있도록 승객의 유입을 관리하여 승강장 혼잡을 줄일 수 있는 전략들에 활용할 수 있는 실시간 열차 정차시간 예측모형을 개발하였다. 모형의 특징은 실시간으로 수집 가능한 승차인원, 하차인원, 그리고 열차의 중량 등 3가지 독립변수를 적용하였고, 모형의 설명력(${\bar{R^2}}=0.809$)이 대체적으로 정확한 결과를 보여주었다. 실시간 정차시간 모형은 열차가 계획된 정차시간을 준수하도록 승차 승객 수를 조정하는 게이트 미터링 전략에 활용될 수 있다.

  • In crushed service areas of Metro railway lines, there are problems such as the buildup discontent, the irregular operation time and rotation of rolling stocks, caused by frequently occurred train delay. Train delay is affected by operation conditions or infrastructure capacities such as train schedule, line capacity, car rotation plan, shunting movements at origin and destination, and also by transport demand characteristics. Furthermore, a delay produce another delays and spread over the following trains. So it is not easy to build up a protection and recovery plan. In this research, we conduct experimental analysis study based on the real metro data, and as a result, present the relation between the traffic demand and the dwell time. And finally, propose future research themes for improving the operation efficiency of metro railways.

Calibration of Timetable Parameters for Rail-Guided Systems

  • In order to achieve a comprehensive utilization of railway networks, it is necessary to accurately assess the timetable indicators that effect the train operation. This paper describes the parameter calibration for two timetable indicators: scheduled running time and scheduled dwell time. For the scheduled running time, an existing model is employed and the single timetable parameter (percentage of minimum running time) in that model is optimized. For the scheduled dwell time, two intrinsic characteristics: the significance of stations and the average headway at each station are proposed firstly to form a new model, and the corresponding timetable parameters (the weight of the significance and the weight of the average headway) are calibrated subsequently. The Floyd Algorithm is used to obtain the connectivity among stations, which represents the significance of the stations. A case study is conducted in a light rail transportation system with 17 underground stations. The results of this research show that the optimal value of the scheduled running time parameter can be automatically determined, and the proposed model for the scheduled dwell time works well with a high coefficient of determination and low relative root mean square error through the leave-one-out validation.

시공간 네트워크를 이용한 열차 경합해소모형 (The Train Conflict Resolution Model Using Time-space Network)

  • 열차 경합해소 문제는 열차의 경합이 발생되거나 예측될 때 지연 확산을 최소화하기 위해 열차 운행스케줄을 조정하는 것이다. 기존연구에서는 폭발적으로 증가하는 변수로 인해 풀 수 있는 문제의 크기가 제한적이다. 본 논문에서는 열차 운영단계에서 열차 경합을 해소하기 위해 시공간 네트워크를 이용한 열차 경합해소모형을 제안한다. 제안한 모형은 시공간 네트워크에서 경합발생 이후 운행 열차들에 대해 정차 역에서의 정차 허용치만을 부여함으로써 문제의 크기를 조절하였다. 또한, 경로흐름변수를 사용해 대형문제도 풀 수 있도록 하였다. 제안한 모형을 이용하여 열차경합의 지연파급분석과 경합해소 실험결과를 제시하였다.

철도이용수요에 따른 선로용량 변화 분석 연구 (A Study on Railroad Track Capacity According to Transit Railway Demand)

  • It is very important that the calculation of railroad track capacity in infrastructure investment analysis and train operation planning. The dwelling time is one of the factors that influence in railroad track capacity. Current research in dwelling time has been focusing on theoretical investigation, the state of the research in effective variable (dwelling time etc) is insufficient. In this paper, we clearly draw the concept of railroad track capacity and the estimate on modeling of relationship railway demand and dwelling time. Also, we compare and analyze the variation of railroad track capacity according to transit railway demand in Gyeongin Line (Guro~Inchon). This paper is expected to contribute for improving on the in-using equations and methods in train operation planning as well as for improving level of service on railway user.

인적요인에 의한 도시철도 출입문 끼임사건 분석 (Analysis of Traps Incidents of Metro Train Door by Human Factors)

  • This study aimed to reduce of traps incident of metro train door by suggesting preventive actions throughout analyzing why railway drivers and passengers commit unsafe behaviors which are human factors making occurrence of the incidents. The incident cases were analyzed and Incident Tree was structured by brainstorming with safety experts. In addition, the questionnaire survey was conducted for comparison with the analysis results. As the result, this study suggested driver's factors, passenger's factors, and public relation plan for safe use of metro in order to reduce the frequency of the incidents. For driver's factors, implementing job-rotation systems between railway and non-railway drivers, installing Object Detection Sensors between the metro doors and PSD, and flexible operation of dwell time were suggested. For passenger's factors, placing a platform safety person, installing a safety fence in front of the stairs and the elevators, and country wide public relations through mass media were suggested.

프레스 작업에서 눈과 손의 협응동작에 대한 연구 (Eye-hand coordination in press task)

  • This paper presented an experiment which examined eye and hand movement characteristics of novice and experienced workers in the press operation. Continuous recordings of eye and hand movements were made on five novice operators and five experienced operators in press operation. Significant difference between the novice and the experienced operators was observed in eye fixation time, eye movement patterns, hand dwell time, and eye-hand coordination. Also, differences were observed in spatial distribution of eye fixations during the die-closing portion of a stroke. There were no significant differences between the novice and the experiencedoperators in the eye and the hand movement time. The results could be used to establish a guide determining the method and training period to train the novice operators.

  • 대도시 고밀도 도시철도에서는 상습 열차운행 지연과 혼잡으로 승객의 불편과 불만이 커지고 있다. 도시철도는 열차운행의 비정규성과 수요의 불확정성 등 지역간 철도와는 다른 특성을 가지고 있다. 도시철도 운영회사에서는 실적자료를 기반으로 열차운행품질과 혼잡도와 같은 서비스품질을 집계하여 관리하고 있다. 그러나 수요와 승객행태에 따라 열차운행이 동적으로 변하는 특성을 가지고 있어 실제 느끼는 서비스품질을 표현하기에는 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 승객 관점에서의 서비스품질을 계량화하고, 도시철도에서 수요에 따른 정차시분 및 열차운행상태의 동적변화를 예측할 수 있는 시뮬레이션 방법과 지연/혼잡 해소방안에 대한 실제 사례를 기반으로 운행서비스품질의 변화를 예측할 수 있는 방법론을 제시한다.

  • 선로용량은 수요에 부합되는 최대열차횟수를 결정하고 수송력 증대에 필요한 투자우선순위 판단을 위한 중요한 척도이다. 특히 2016년 중반부터 고속철도노선에 두 철도운영자가 운송사업을 개시함에 따라 선로용량과 실제배정 가능한 최대열차횟수 간에 상충이 발생하지 않고 유효운송경쟁이 보증될 수 있도록 선로용량을 산정 관리할 필요성이 있다. 열차종별 운행횟수, 도중정차패턴과 착발시각, 운행시간, 열차의 대피 또는 교행, 열차간의 안전시격 등에 따라 선로용량이 크게 달라지므로 현재까지도 실제 적용에 많은 논쟁이 있는 것도 사실이다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하고자 철도운영자의 운송정책을 고려한 열차운행 스케쥴을 반영할 수 있는 시뮬레이션 기법에 의한 선로용량 산정방법을 제시하고자 한다.

중국 경제의 급부상에 따른 부산항의 발전전략 (The Development Strategies of the Port of Busan in the Midst of Rapidly Growing Chinese Economy)

  • The China entered World Trade Oganization(WTO) last year, thus opening its border to more - and freer - trade. With its foreign trade rapidly expanding and with economic growth continuing at a substantial -rate, China will be the largest container traffic generating country in the world. In the light of this potential trade bonanza, regional ports in North-East Asia strive to gain a competitive-edge. The Port of Busan, the world's third largest container port, wants to capture a significant share of the china's container cargoes. In this circumstance, development strategies of the Port of Busan are suggested as follows. First, to cope with increasing volumes, the New Busan Port on Gaduk island should be constructed without failure. Second, it is necessary to add modernized high-performance gantry cranes and to train crane operators' skill. Third, it needs to apply Dwell Time- Sliding Scale System for transshipment cargoes. Fourth, it needs to develop the EDI network in terminal areas or adjacent hub ports to exchange trustworthy and satisfactory informations Fifth, port authority -needs to enlarge designated Free Trade Zone to facilitate the free flow of cargoes. Sixth, the restoration of rail links between North and South Korea is abundantly clear. Thus it needs to enlarge railroad facilities in advance. Seventh, it needs to establish the Port Authority of Busan immediately. Finally, it needs to strengthen port sales and to open events like 'Marine Week 2001' regularly to attract potential canters or big shippers.
