도시한옥의 사용실태에 따른 외관유형에 관한 연구- 북촌한옥보존지구 비주거용 도시한옥 중심으로 (A study on the External Appearance Types of Urban-style hanok according to Their Use - Focused on Non-residential Urban-style hanok in the Bukchon Urban-style hanok Preservation District)

  • The current study proposesto examine the external appearance types of urban-style hanok in the Bukchon Hanok Preservation District according to their use. For this purpose, we conducted a field survey from the 12th of September to 10th of October 2005, which investigated the location, condition md use of urban-style hanok that were being used for non-residential purposes. The external elevation of the houses were observed and photographed. The results are as follows. First, there were 158 urban-style hanok used for non-residential purposes and200 cases of non-residential use. There were 69 cases of food and beverage spaces, 58 cases of small retail businesses, 38 cases of cultural facilities and 7 cases of convenience facilities. Second, among residential urban-style hanok used for non-residential purposes, 131 cases changed the external appearance of existing urban-style hanok and only 69 cases maintained the original appearance of urban-style hanok or renovated the appearance fittingly to non-residential use. Among the renovated cases, 59 involved the construction of a firewall and 10 cases involved remodeling in a contemporary style. Among the transformed cases, 40 cases exhibited a full opening to the roadside, n involved the change of external appearance components, 14 involved the extension of the courtyard and 12 involved overall improvements to a contemporary style. Third, in the case of cultural facilities and offices, many instances reproduced an urban-style hanok in the traditional style, but small retail shops and food/beverage spaces showed serious deformation. Particularly small retail shops opened the side to the road or extended the courtyard regardless of the location of the houses in order to increase the store space and, as a result, severely damaged the urban-style hanok. In addition, many food/beverage spaces remodeled their external components using tiles, bricks or metals, which were easy to maintain.

  • Living culture, which is a pattern of peoples' everyday living, is influenced by the socio-economic conditions as well as ideology of the society. South and North Korean societies have been segregated during the past 50 years with different socio-economic conditions and idelolgies, resulting different living cultures, even though those two societies share the same traditional culture. This project was developed to identify the differences in living cultures between South and North Korean concentrated on finding out the current living culture of North Korean families. Based on indepth interview with ten people who escaped from North Korea after 1990, empirical survey with 158 subjects was conducted. The subjects with various demographic backgrounds were asked about lifestyles concerning clothing, food, housing that they experienced when they were in North Korea. This study revealed differences in many aspects of living cultures of South and North Korea, and relationships were suggested in three lifestyles. The study was intended to provide ground for more information to the following study that will explore the cue of integration between South and North Korean societies in living culture.

신한옥형 공공건축물 단지형 디자인가이드라인의 계획 방향: 공동주택단지 내 부대복리시설을 중심으로 (The Planning of Design Guideline for New-Hanok-Style Public Buildings: Focusing on the Welfare Facilities in Apartment Complex)

  • The purpose of this study is to set the direction of development of the design guideline of the New-Hanok-Style public building in apartment complex and to use it as basic data for future architecture plans. The existing Hanok architecture standards and guidelines were analyzed and the characteristics of New-Hanok-Style Public Building in apartment complex were applied. The planning direction of the design guideline was derived. First, although the criteria and guidelines related to the Hanok produced and distributed were classified differently according to the purpose of production, the details and contents were similar. Second, the general planning criteria items were divided into layout, external space plan, building plan, and performance plan. Third, the elements of 'creative inheritance of traditional architecture' and 'modern building technology', which are the characteristics of New-Hanok-Style Public Building, were applied. In addition, we analyzed elementary welfare facility guidelines and applied elements such as layout type and zoning setting. Fourth, a special planning standard for applying the building system required for the New-Hanok-Style Public Building in apartment complex was added. In the future, it is expected to revitalize New-Hanok-Style Public Building containing the unique identity(genetic factor; DNA) of the nation by developing and disseminating relevant building standards, design guidelines, and maintenance manuals.

  • Purpose: This study is to research how New-Hanok R&D technologies of first stage are appearing and adapted to the New-Hanok style public buildings, especially in Daycare Center in Sunchang-gun, Korea. Unlike Hanok houses, public buildings which has special needs for the public and restricted by laws and regulations need not only new system of law incentives but also new components of New-Hnaok R&D technologies used only in Hanok house. Method: For this purpose, we checked the drawings for Daycare Center in Sunchang-gun. The drawings have been changed 6 times for the purpose of adopting New-Hanok R&D technologies of first stage and actual needs for current laws and regulations for public buildings and it reveals not only the possibilities for adapting new technologies in New-Hanok but also meetings the current and public needs for public buildings. Result: The result of this study as follows. Approximately 40-50 percent of New-Hanok R&D technologies in the first stage are adapted in Daycare Center in Sunchang-gun, and this means there are limitations in adapting New-Hanok R&D which are mainly for the Korean style houses. The main reasons are the costs still remaining high and lacking in confidence for using traditional structures and materials still under verification. Some are changed and proposed in another solutions suitable for public buildings as like truss structure system in roof.

실내시험에 의한 새로운 격자지보재의 하중지지력 평가 (Load Bearing Capacity Evaluation of New Lattice Girder by Laboratory Test)

  • 최근 건설되는 터널의 심도가 깊어져 난공사 구간이 증가되며, 초장대 터널의 증가로 터널 기술 개발이 필요해지고 있다. 터널의 기술개발의 하나로 터널 강지보재로 사용되는 높이 95mm 격자지보재에 사용되는 스파이더를 최적화하여 U자형과 보강재스파이더를 개발하였다. 개발된 격자지보재의 하중지지력을 평가하기 위하여 국내에서 사용되는 4절점 휨강도 실험을 실시하였으며 실내 실험을 위해 기존 격자지보재와 개발된 격자지보재의 시편을 직선으로 제작하여 실시하였다. 실험 결과 새로운 격자지보재는 기존의 격자지보재에 비하여 하중지지력이 높게 나타났다. 지지력 평가에 의한 시편의 응력-변형 거동을 분석한 결과 기존 격자지보재는 탄소성 거동이 나타났고, 새 격자지보재는 응력연화의 거동이 나타났다. 새 격자지보재는 하중이 가해지는 지점의 위치에 따라 지지력 거동이 달라짐을 알 수 있었다.

부천 지역 주부의 식문화 의식과 가사행동과의 관계 (Relationship Between Dietary Consciousness of Housewives and Their Attitude of Households - in Puchon City -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the understanding of dietary consciousness and define the relationship of housewife attitude of middle class residence in Puchon city. Questionnaires were collected 282 housewives in Puchon city. Data were analysed with SAS software package for F-test and Duncan's multiple range test. The main findings of the research were as follows: The food related perchasing place was supermarket(91%), ordinary market(77%), department store(68%), special store(58%), common purchase(37%), convenience store(22%) and communication marketing(13%). The clothing perchasing place showed in the order of department store(71%), special store(65%), ordinary market(52%), common purchase(23%), supermarket(18%), convenience store(15%) and communication marketing(10%). Dietary cosciousness of housewife on foods, clothing, and housing related items was significantly different, specially 20's housewife was concerned about foods and 30's housewife was housing(p<0.05). The behavior consciousness of housewife was significantly different between age, education level, family type and income(p<0.05). Highly educated housewife showed a tendency to spend money and times for food related fields, and to buy clothes in a department store for breaking stress(p<0.05). However, low education level and extended family type housewife got more conservative consciousness on traditional fermented food making(p<0.05). Most of young housewife answered that the making of bread, cookies, soybean paste soup, children clothes and handicraft led to positive consciousness(p<0.05). Especially high life satisfaction housewife preferred to make a dosirak(lunch box), dinner, children clothes and handicraft(p<0.05).

아파트 단지 내 사이버 공동체 활성화 방안 연구 I - 사이버 공동체 실태와 콘텐츠의 유형화 - (The Revitalization Schemes for Virtual Communities in Apartment Complexes - The Status and Classification of the Virtual Communities -)

  • In the past, strong social bands, which had spontaneous communities, existed in Korean traditional society. However, while it's developing through industrialization; monolithic apartment houses were introduced which causes less interaction between neighbors. With the growing attention to the higher living quality, various schemes to revitalize the community spirits have been groped, including to improve in hardhearted neighborhood relationships and to cope with the dreariness in the city. With the development of the internet and the spread of 'digital home', the communities in cyber space have been especially revitalized since the information-oriented society. In a move to strengthen the communities in apartment complexes, this study tries to find the revitalization scheme for virtual communities in apartment complexes by analyzing the contents of its web sites and understanding the world of virtual community. These are compared and analyzed. The related virtual communities ("cafe" or "blogs") are also analyzed. The results are as follows. 1) There are some differences among the contents provided by apartment virtual community developing companies, still, it could be categorized into four types; "apartment complex introduction and management information" "community revitalization" "living guide" "individual services" 2) The contents provided by self-organized communities of residents neither require additional charge nor special membership for information while the formation is not systematized. 3) In the comparison of apartment virtual community developing companies with residents self-organized communities, "apartment complex introduction and management information" on freeboard, notice, request and Q&A, and "community revitalization" on communication board are both provided throughout the web sites. 4) The contents provided by apartment virtual community developing companies makes the information available in a wide range with managers, on the other hand, self-organized communities emphasize on showing attachment and concern of residents and requiring communications between neighborhoods.

한국 부모-자녀관계 속담에 대한 동의도와 가족환경 및 가족가치관과의 관계 (The Relationships between the Agreement of the Korean Proverbs about Parent-Child Relations, Families' Environment , and Familism)

  • This research investigated the relationships between families' environment, familism, and the agreement on the parent-child relations as depicted in Korean proverbs to find the change of the traditional values about parent-child relationships. The sample was comprised of 474 Korean married people. They were asked to rate the degree to which they agreed on the underlying value of each proverb. The data were collected through a mailed questionnaire and interview. The findings indicated that the responses of subjects varied as a function of families' environment and familism variables. More specifically, while the subjects living with extended family were more likely to rate the value toward children and daughter high, the subjects from nuclear family were more likely to express the affection toward children, to prefer boys, and to express child-rearing stress. In addition, the people who had lived with grandparents together tended to agree with the value of filial piety. The respondents from conservative surroundings were more likely to express the affection toward children and to prefer boys. The subjects from a rural community tended to prefer boys and to place high value on the authoritative control. The people who supported familism tended to express the affection toward children and child-rearing stress, to prefer boys, and to agree with the filial piety and authoritative control. But they tended to rate low on the value of children and daughter.

1920년대 근대적 디벨로퍼의 등장과 그 배경 (The Advent of Korean Developers during the 1920s)

  • 일제하 경성부의 근대식 한옥 개발은 조선인 디벨로퍼의 주도로 1920년대에 본격화되었다. 이들이 등장한 배경은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일본인의 이주와 조선인의 이농으로 인구가 급증했다. 특히 일본인의 근거지가 청계천 이북으로 확장되면서, 지가가 상승하고 기존 필지를 분할하는 압축적인 개발이 나타났다. 둘째, 식민지 당국의 주거대책 부재로, 조선인의 주택난이 극심하였다. 셋째, 조선인 건설업자들은 토목공사 입찰에서 배제되어 조선인 대상 주택을 주로 건설하였다. 정세권 선생의 건양사와 같은 근대적 디벨로퍼들은 토지 매입, 분필, 주택 설계와 개발, 분양 등 근대적 부동산 개발 방식을 통해 조선인에게 근대식 한옥을 공급했다. 이들의 활동으로 1920~30년대 경성부에 10~40평형대의 근대식 한옥 단지가 형성되었다.

조선시대 반가 정원공간의 조영사상에 관한 연구 - 문화재 지정 9개 지역의 반가를 중심으로 - (A Study on the thought of Building Noble Family's House Garden of Chosun Dynasty -Focus One the 9 Noble Family's Houses Designated as Cultural Property-)

  • This study is about Tak Mok theory of feng-shui ideology which was main thought in Choson dynasty or some other thoughts and noble families' thought of garden building : planting trees and properties of the noble families garden. The result from the study of noble family's garden molding is as follows. In the noble family's garden molding, there were considerations of plant ecology known through long experience and the functional aspect of planting tree and esthetic sense of housing circumstances, in addition to feng-shui thought, Taoist thought and the doctrine of the five natural elements of the positive vs. negative. We can learn Choson's noble family's garden included playroom as well as symbolic and incantatory meaning. Also in the thought of noble family's garden molding we can found proper element for modern housing plan such as an ecological peculiarity or functional aspect of dwelling circumstance. And we can also found they didn't show a rejection symptoms against nature but enclosed with straight form which was traditional trait, and each space of it is composed organically. Also we knew they selected a diverse and refined technique with it's decorating the Choson dynasty playful and meditative space. We found that the key point of the thought of noble family's garden molding were on the basis of Confucianal mood, content amid poverty thought and free technique of it.
