Development of the Freight Forwarder Information System adopting RIA

  • In the case of international trade, the role of 3PL (third-party logistics) providers, in recent years, has drawn more attention. At the same time, computers have become faster, cheaper, and more widely available. Thus. information systems have become commonplace to freight forwarders and the increased efficiencies to be gained in improving logistics has pushed managers to explorer a number of new ideas, technologies and methods of information management and automation. However, many companies are encountering difficulties to choose an information system flexible and satisfying all needs carrying on business. In this study RIA (rich internet application) technology based on Java Swing was introduced to the .freight forwarder information systems to provide richer user interfaces and a flexible web-based application. Also considered giving stakeholders in charge of logistics especially in SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) cost-effective and performance-effective solutions with good accessibility of internet for smooth operations of their businesses.

Accurate Control Position of Belt Drives under Acceleration and Velocity Constraints

  • Belt drives provide freedom to position the motor relative to the load and this phenomenon enables reduction of the robot arm inertia. It also facilitates quick response when employed in robotics. Unfortunately, the flexible dynamics deteriorates the positioning accuracy. Therefore, there exists a trade-off between the simplicity of the control strategy to reject time varying disturbance caused by flexibility of the belt and precision in performance. Resonance of the system further leads to vibrations and poor accuracy in positioning. In this paper, accurate positioning of a belt driven mechanism using a feed-forward compensator under maximum acceleration and velocity constraints is proposed. The proposed method plans the desired trajectory and modifies it to compensate delay dynamics and vibration. Being an offline method, the proposed method could be easily and effectively adopted to the existing systems without any modification of the hardware setup. The effectiveness of the proposed method was proven by experiments carried out with an actual belt driven system. The accuracy of the simulation study based on numerical methods was also verified with the analytical solutions derived.

  • The growth of digitalization processes around the world, covering almost all areas of human life, including the Fintech sector. In the field of financial technology, radical changes are taking place with increasing levels of automation, openness and consumer focus. In addition, in the context of the spread of coronavirus infection, quarantine and forced isolation, the role of digital technology is coming to the fore worldwide, including in Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to assess the development of Fintech ecosystem of European countries and outline the strategic parameters of domestic Fintech development. The study concluded that the investment raised for the Fintech industry increases annually and the quality and size of transactions gradually increases. Today, Fintech maintains its position as one of the most attractive markets for venture capitalists and the image of an industry with high potential, especially in the era of open banking. The most attractive markets for investors are mature markets, such as the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom, and the preferred niches for investment - the vertical of payments and lending. Trends in investment activity in terms of investing in financial technologies are studied. Moreover, investors prefer businesses that already have a significant scale or considerable potential to achieve it and become sustainable businesses.

Performance Improvement of IPMC(Ionic Polymer Metal Composites) for a Flapping Actuator

  • In this paper, a trade-off design and fabrication of IPMC(Ionic Polymer Metal Composites) as an actuator for a flapping device have been described. Experiments for the internal solvent loss of IPMCs have been conducted for various combinations of cation and solvent in order to find out the best combination of cation and solvent for minimal solvent loss and higher actuation force. From the experiments, it was found that IPMCs with heavy water as their solvent could operate longer. Relations between length/thickness and tip force of IPMCs were also quantitatively identified for the actuator design from the tip force measurement of 200, 400, 640, and $800{\mu}m$ thick IPMCs. All IPMCs thicker than $200{\mu}m$ were processed by casting $Nafion^{TM}$ solution. The shorter and thicker IPMCs tended to generate higher actuation force but lower actuation displacement. To improve surface conductivity and to minimize solvent evaporation due to electrically heated electrodes, gold was sputtered on both surfaces of the cast IPMCs by the Physical Vapor Deposition(PVD) process. For amplification of a short IPMC's small actuation displacement to a large flapping motion, a rack-and-pinion type hinge was used in the flapping device. An insect wing was attached to the IPMC flapping mechanism for its flapping test. In this test, the wing flapping device using the $800{\mu}m$ thick IPMC. could create around $10^{\circ}{\sim}85^{\circ}$ flapping angles and $0.5{\sim}15Hz$ flapping frequencies by applying $3{\sim|}4V$.

  • 광범위한 컨테이너 무역의 빠른 성장률로 인하여, 모든 주요항만은 계획된 수용능력 수요에 대처해야하는 압력에 처해있다. 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위한 결과로서, 컨테이너 보관과 터미널 용량에 대한 수용능력을 개선하고 성장수요를 찾아야한다. 더구나, 구체적 조정순서 재공학은 세계적으로 항공기, 선박회사, 터미널 그리고 창고기업체들의 상세한 계획과 공급이 연쇄 관리자들을 위하여 현재 반드시 필요한 목표이다. 따라서 이 논문의 목적은 항만이송시스템들의 성능평가를 실행하기 위한 3차원 시뮬레이터를 개발하는 것이다. 개발되어진 3차원 시뮬레이터 시스템은 제안된 전체 시스템의 유효성을 측정하게 되고 실제 존재하는 것들과 비교되어진다. 또한 성능 해석 변화들은 이러한 것들을 비교함으로서 정의되어진다.

Game Model Based Co-evolutionary Solution for Multiobjective Optimization Problems

  • The majority of real-world problems encountered by engineers involve simultaneous optimization of competing objectives. In this case instead of single optima, there is a set of alternative trade-offs, generally known as Pareto-optimal solutions. The use of evolutionary algorithms Pareto GA, which was first introduced by Goldberg in 1989, has now become a sort of standard in solving Multiobjective Optimization Problems (MOPs). Though this approach was further developed leading to numerous applications, these applications are based on Pareto ranking and employ the use of the fitness sharing function to maintain diversity. Another scheme for solving MOPs has been presented by J. Nash to solve MOPs originated from Game Theory and Economics. Sefrioui introduced the Nash Genetic Algorithm in 1998. This approach combines genetic algorithms with Nash's idea. Another central achievement of Game Theory is the introduction of an Evolutionary Stable Strategy, introduced by Maynard Smith in 1982. In this paper, we will try to find ESS as a solution of MOPs using our game model based co-evolutionary algorithm. First, we will investigate the validity of our co-evolutionary approach to solve MOPs. That is, we will demonstrate how the evolutionary game can be embodied using co-evolutionary algorithms and also confirm whether it can reach the optimal equilibrium point of a MOP. Second, we will evaluate the effectiveness of our approach, comparing it with other methods through rigorous experiments on several MOPs.

물류산업의 선진화를 위한 성과지표 분석: IT서비스를 중심으로 (Analysis of Key Performance Index for Advanced Logistics)

  • 본 논문에서는 국내 물류산업의 경쟁력을 높이고 물류 선진화를 도모하기 위한 성과지표를 분석하고 세부적인 IT서비스를 제시한다. 여기서 물류 기업의 성과는 크게 효율성, 지속가능성 및 경제성 측면으로 구분하여 평가지표를 설정하고 IT서비스는 기업 및 공공물류로 분류하여 기업들에게 필요한 IT서비스를 분석한다. 아울러 사례연구로서 평택항 관련 종사자 즉, 물류기업 및 무역업, 공무원, 지역주민 등을 대상으로 실시한 설문조사 결과(SPSS 분석)를 통하여 물류기업의 현황을 진단하고 우선적으로 요구되는 물류 IT서비스의 우선순위를 조사한다. 분석결과, 물류산업의 생산성과 효율성을 높이기 위하여 전문인력의 확보와 표준화가 요구되고 시급한 IT서비스로서 물류자동화 기계화, u-Port 구축, 녹색친환경물류 그리고 물류보안 기술의 구현이 필요함을 알 수 있다.

Introduction of the representative mushroom cultivars and groundbreaking cultivation techniques in Korea

  • The production scale of mushrooms in Korea is approximately 600 billion won, which is 1.6% of Korea's gross agricultural output. In Korea, ca. 190,000 tons of mushrooms are harvested annually. Although the numbers of mushroom farms and cultivators are constantly decreasing, total mushroom yields are increasing owing to large-scale cultivation facilities and automation. The recent expansion of the well-being trend has caused an increase in mushroom consumption in Korea: the annual per capita mushroom was 3.9 kg ('13), whichis a little higher than that in Europe. Thus, mushroom export, mainly Flammulina velutipes and Pleurotus ostreatus, has increased since the mid-2000s. Recently, however, it is slightly reduced. Nevertheless, Vietnam, Hong Kong, the United States, and the Netherlands continue to export mushrooms, and Korea has increased its export to Australia, Canada, Southeast Asia, etc. Canned Agaricus bisporus, the first export of the Korean mushroom industry, reached it speak sales in 1977-1978. When Korea initiated trade with China in 1980, the international prices of mushrooms fell sharply, leading to shrinkage of the domestic markets. Spurred by the high demand to develop substitute goods for A. bisporus, the oyster mushroom (P. ostreatus) gained attention since it seemed to suit the taste of Korean consumers. Although the log cultivation technique for oyster mushroom was developed in the early 1970s, it required a great deal of labor. Thus, we developed the shelf cultivation technique, which is easier to manage and allows for mass production. In this technique, the growing shelf is made mafrom fermented rice straw, whichis the only P. ostreatus medium in the world and isused only in South Korea. After then, the use of cotton wastes as an additional material of medium, the productivity. Currently, we are developing a standard cultivation technique and environmental control system that can stably produce mushrooms throughout the year. The increase of oyster mushroom production may boostthe domestic market and contribute to industrial development. In addition, oyster mushroom production technology played a role in forming the basis for the development of bottle cultivation, which made mass production. In particular, bottle cultivation using liquid spawn could allow for the export of F. velutipes and Pleurotus eryngii. In addition, the white varieties of F. velutipes were second developed in the world after Japan. We also developed the new A. bisporus cultivar 'Saeah', which is easy to grow in Korea. In hopes to advance the mushroom industry, we will continue to develop cultivars with international competitive power and to improve cultivation techniques.

상용망 기반의 항만터미널 효율적인 관제시스템 설계 (Design of an Efficient Control System for Harbor Terminal based on the Commercial Network)

  • 해상을 통한 물동량이 전체 97% 차지하고 있어 효율적인 항만 운영 관리 시스템을 통해 작업효율을 높이는 동시에 운영비용을 절감하고, 관리자가 작업 지연 및 장비 지원이 필요한 상황이 발생한 경우 신속하게 이를 확인하여 대처할 필요가 있다. 기존 시스템은 GPS 을 이용한 야드 자동화 장비의 실시간 위치정보 확인을 토대로 작업 완료 혹은 작업 시작에 따라 입력된 정보로 위치 정보를 모니터링하고 있다. 기존 시스템보다 태블릿의 GPS 시스템으로 실시간 위치정보 확인 시스템이 야드 조업 장비의 위치 확인에 있어 더욱 정확한 정보 제공이 가능하다. 야드장 내의 통신망에서도 컨테이너로 인한 음영이 없는 상용 LTE 서비스를 활용한 망 구성이 컨테이너 처리 지연을 줄인다. 마지막으로 안드로이드나 IOS를 사용하는 스마트단말기의 도입과 인공지능을 활용한 컨테이너 처리 스케줄링을 통해 컨테이너 처리 어플리케이션의 스마트 단말 사용과 컨테이너 작업 스케줄의 최적화를 통한 최소 지연시스템을 구축한다. 스마트 단말의 도입과 인공지능을 활용한 컨테이너 처리 지연의 최소화는 컨테이너 정보 요구자인 소비자에게 실시간으로 컨테이너의 처리과정을 확인시킴으로써 항만 서비스의 질적 향상이 예상된다.

장강 내수로 항만의 물류 수요 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on Predicting the Logistics Demand of Inland Ports on the Yangtze River)

  • 본 연구는 장강 내수로 항만의 물류 수요에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 미래의 항만 물류 수요를 예측하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 장강 상류의 충칭항, 이빈항, 중류의 징저우항, 우후항, 하류의 난징항, 쑤저우항 등 총 6개 항만을 대상으로, 시스템 다이내믹스 기법을 활용한 물류 수요 예측을 수행하였다. 모든 항만의 물류 수요는 2026년까지 중단기 예측에서 증가세를 보였다. 충칭항의 물류 수요는 배후지 경제 규모의 영향을 주로 받았으며, 이빈항은 항만의 자동화 수준에 크게 의존하는 것으로 파악되었다. 상류 및 중류 항만의 경우, 배후지의 에너지 소비량 증가와 대기 오염 상황이 심각할수록 물류 수요가 증가하였다. 중류 항만의 물류 수요는 배후지 인프라의 영향을 주로 받았으며, 하류 항만은 도시 건설 면적의 변화에 민감하게 반응하는 것으로 나타났다. 민감도 분석 결과, 대도시에 의존하는 항만의 물류 수요는 영향 요인들의 증감폭에 대해 상대적으로 안정적이었으나, 배후지 도시 규모가 작은 항만은 영향 요인들의 변동에 민감하게 반응하는 경향을 보였다. 따라서 충칭항을 장강 상류의 핵심 항만으로 정책적 지원을 강화하고, 주변 항만들이 충칭항의 보조 역할을 수행하도록 하는 전략을 마련해야 한다. 상류 항만은 충칭항의 보조 역할을 수행하는 동시에, 중하류 항만과의 연결성을 강화하고 입항 산업의 발전을 도모하는 방안도 고려해야 할 것이다. 장강 내수로 항만의 개발 전략은 한국의 항만 및 이해관계자들에게 직항로의 개설과 교통 네트워크의 확장을 시사한다. 배후지 네트워크를 확장하고 물류허브와 연계된 효율적인 교통 체계의 구축을 제시할 수 있다. 협력을 통해 두 지역 모두에서 물류 효율성이 향상될 수 있으며, 이는 각 항만의 국제적인 위치와 경쟁력을 강화하는 데 기여할 것이다.
