  • This paper proposes an advanced visual tracking algorithm for the stable grasping of a moving target(2D). This algorithm is programmed to find grasping points of an unknown polygonal object and execute visual tracking. The Kalman Filter(KF) algorithm based on the SVD(Singular Value Decomposition) is applied to the visual tracking system for the tracking of a moving object. The KF based on the SVD improves the accuracy of the tracking and the robustness in the estimation of state variables and noise statistics. In addition, it does not have the numerical unstability problem that can occur in the visual tracking system based on Kalman filter. In the grasping system, a parameterized family is constructcd, and through the family, the grasping system finds the stable grasping points of an unknown object through the geometric properties of the parameterized family. In the previous studies, many researchers have been studied on only 'How to track a moving target'. This paper concern not only on 'how to track' but also 'how to grasp' and apply the grasping theory to a visual tracking system.

  • This paper compares the performance of several tracking filters, namely, alpha-beta filter, Kalman filter and TBM tracking filter for ballistic target tracking problem using multi-function radar. Every of three tracking filters suggested was tested on simulator developed in accordance with TBM trajectory and MFR RSP measurement. The result shows the method using TBM tracking filter gives 75.3 % decreased velocity RMS error than alpha-beta filter. After initialization, the RMS error of range and velocity of the proposed filter is also smaller than the Kalman filter. Finally the proposed filter is suitable for high-speed TBM tracking due to the stable angle tracking accuracy.

  • Multiple target tracking mainly focuses on tracking unknown number of targets in the complex environment of clutter and missed detection. The generalized labeled multi-Bernoulli (GLMB) filter has been shown to be an effective approach and attracted extensive attention. However, in the scenarios where the clutter rate is high or measurement-outliers often occur, the performance of the GLMB filter will significantly decline due to the Gaussian-based likelihood function is sensitive to clutter. To solve this problem, this paper presents a robust GLMB filter and smoother to improve the tracking performance in the scenarios with high clutter rate, low detection probability, and measurement-outliers. Firstly, a Student-T distribution variational Bayesian (TDVB) filtering technology is employed to update targets' states. Then, The likelihood weight in the tracking process is deduced again. Finally, a trajectory smoothing method is proposed to improve the integrative tracking performance. The proposed method are compared with recent multiple target tracking filters, and the simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively improve tracking accuracy in the scenarios with high clutter rate, low detection rate and measurement-outliers. • This paper provides a solution for the problem of efficiency decrease caused by load variation. A novel control scheme of tracking the PT's operation frequency for the maximum efficiency is proposed. As a result, a high efficiency over $80\%$ has been achieved even under the output-current decrease down to $10\%$ of the full load current.

  • This paper addresses the control problem of a laboratory-level 2 degree-of-freedom helicopter. The exact fuzzy model in a Takagi - Sugeno form is constructed by the sector nonlinearity technique, and is then represented as a set of uncertain linear systems. Output-tracking controller is designed in terms of linear matrix inequalities and the closed-loop stability is rigorously analyzed. Experimental evaluation shows that the proposed method is of benefit to many real industrial plants.

  • A new approach to the maneuvering target tracking problem is proposed. Its basic concept is to take the maneuver variable from the measurements. Tracking scheme based on the Kalman filter estimates the maneuver varieble from the residual and uses the estimates to update the Kalman filter. The estimation process is independent of target types and a model of the maneuver characteristics. All the filtering algorithms are processed in polor coordinate. Simulation results are presented and compared to that of the extended Kalman filter.

  • By using a least-square input estimator and likelihood ratio technique, a tracking problem is presented. A Kalman tracking filter based on constant-velocity, straight-line model is used to track a target and the filtered estimate is updated using an input estimate when a maneuver is detected. Track residuals at each scan are sensed by a detector to guard against unexpected corrections of the filter. The simulation results show there are significant improvements using the scheme presented.

  • We treat the problem of the robust tracking of a class of nonlinear systems which can be asymptotically decoupled in approximate sense by state variable feedback. A nonlinear control law is derived such that the tracking error in the closed loop system is uniformly bounded and tends to a certain small neighborhood of the origin. Simulation results show that simultaneous lateral and longitudinal maneuvers in airplane can be accurately performed in spite of uncertainty in stability derivatives.
