철도궤도회로시스템에서 동일한 주파수를 사용하는 궤도회로 사이의 이격거리에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Distance Between the Track Circuits Using Identical Frequency in Railway Track Circuit System)

  • Electrical railway system consists of rolling stock, track, signal and streetcar line system. Track circuit system is a vital system due to checking the location of trains. Track circuits are divided by using frequency and isolated electrically. Currently, there is not a regulation for the distance between track circuits using identical frequency. In case of installing additional track circuits in large stations or marshalling yard, the problem which is that the signal is not exactly transmitted to the track circuit occurs due to the mutual interference. In other words, the track circuit properly is not operated on account of wrong induction current by the mutual inductance between track circuits. In this paper, we suggest the electrical model between track circuits and numerically calculate demanded parameters in electrical model. The distance between track circuits satisfying the mutual inductance which does not happen to the mutual interference phenomenon is presented about the distance of track circuit. It is proved by using Matlab and PSpice program as the amplitude of mutual induced current.

  • Track circuit is transmitted throughout the rails. In order to insure safe and reliable operation of track circuits, the track and the environment should respect mandatory electrical characteristics. In addition, for cab signalling through track Circuit as per TVM 430, these electrical characteristics should insure the transmission to the train. Track circuits have several operation and safety functions. They can detect the train position and broken rails. When track circuits are used as track to train transmission, they also have to be powered enough to be captured by the train sensors.

  • 열차의 위치는 전통적으로 궤도회로를 사용하여 검지하였으나 CBTC와 같은 최근의 열차제어 시스템은 지상신호설비를 최소화 하기 위하여 궤도회로를 사용하지 않고 열차를 검지하는 방식을 사용한다. 따라서 궤도회로를 사용하지 않고 열차의 정확한 위치를 검지하는 시스템에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 또한 기존의 궤도회로 사용구간에도 단락감도 저하시 안정적으로 열차검지를 위하여 비접촉식 열차검지장치를 보완 설치한다. 본 논문은 비 접촉식 열차검지기 장치의 일종으로 자기장의 변화에 따른 전류위상차를 이용하여 열차검지시스템을 설계하고 시제품을 제작하여 열차검지 성능과 설계조건 등을 판단하였으며, 기존 궤도회로장치에 비하여 다양한 장점이 있음을 알 수 있었다.

DC 궤도회로의 효율적인 운용방법에 대한 연구 (A study on efficient operation of DC track circuit)

  • A track circuit is a critical piece of equipment that allows the existence of the trains on the track to be detected. Train detection is very important for the signal safety equipment. It allows for the confirmation of a train's location, the locking of switch points, the coordination of safe distance between trains, and the advance notice of a train's arrival. Track circuits can be powered by AC or DC. The DC track circuits are usually used on non-electrified tracks. On these tracks, many signal errors can be caused by lightning or problems with the power source. These problems can also cause damages to the rectifiers which must be repaired or replaced, promptly. This issue is especially problematic in the summer because of the higher frequency of thunderstorms. Issues with track circuits also cause problems for other equipment, such as railroad crossings and switch points. This further disrupts the safe operation of trains. This study aims to enhance maintenance efficiency and improve safety by utilizing parallel operation and multiplexing of a DC track circuit as well as installing an external surge protector. The experimental results on the operation of the proposed method is also presented.

  • Track circuit decides whether the section is occupied by train or free using the electrical characteristics of the rail, and sends information to the train using the rail as the medium of communication. So the electrical parameters of the rail are important to the track circuits. But they are influenced by the frequency of the transmitted signal and the environments like rain, snow and location of the rail. In this paper, the parameters of the rail is practically measured using the measurement method based on the 2-port network. The measurement demonstrates that the parameters of the rail is dependent on the frequency of the signal flowing on the rail and the environments like wheather. So this analysis of the parameters helps the design of track circuits.

  • The purpose of this study is development of the diagnosis system to preventative maintenance in the on-board measuring systems for in-cab electric inspection systems of high speed railway. The on-board measuring systems can inspect precisely whether ground signal system operate stably. In this paper, we recognize characteristics of the track circuits and confirm whether the wave of current matches the on-board measuring data through the electric modeling method for high speed railway. it is necessary to develop GUI visual programs that can simulate abnormalities of the on-board measuring data in many ways, and the visual program is designed to diagnosis in the case of track circuit equipment's function decreased in advance.

  • 경부고속선에서 사용하는 열차제어시스템은 ATC, IXL, CTC로 분류되며, 열차 속도 제어 및 간격 제어에 관련된 ATC 정보는 UM71 AF 궤도회로와 BSP Loop를 통해 지상에서 차상으로 전송된다. 궤도회로를 통해 전송되는 정보는 주로 열차 운행에 직접적인 영향을 주는 운영 정보로 구성된다. 특히 BSP Loop를 통해 전송되는 정보는 터널, 차축온도 검지장치, 또는 절연구간과 같이 특수한 선로변 환경에 대해 추가적인 정보 전송을 필요로 하는 구간에서 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 경부고속선 개통 이후부터 현재까지 기존선과 고속선 연결 구간에서 주로 사용되는 UM71 AF 궤도회로의 BA형 동조 유니트 특성을 기준값과 측정값을 비교하여 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 통해 BA형 동조 유니트가 설치된 구간의 궤도회로 장애와 같은 문제 발생시 원인규명 및 유지보수를 보다 쉽게 이룰 수 있을 것이다.

고속선 궤도회로 검측설비 개량을 위한 방안 연구 (A Study on the improvement of Track Circuit measurement equipment for High speed Line)

  • ATC facility manipulates ground-on-board information, which transmits speed limit, varying as wayside environments - safety facility, track gradient, inclination, bridge and tunnel and other factors, installed for safe operation of trains on wayside. Efficientiation and automatification of operation and maintenance is being realized, by measuring if there are any erroneous information, using a measuring car. In this paper, we study in priority the methods for measuring accurately distinctive properties of internal malfunctions of track circuits, the performance decrease of condensers, and the unbalance of return cables, which are actually required for functionality improvement of high-speed line signal measure facilities, by measuring the unbalance of return current given because of damaged factors of external track circuits.

  • Automatic train control systems are divided into ATC, ATP and ATS systems etc. The ATP and ATS systems offer discontinuous information for train control. While the ATC systems provide continueous information for train control. There is a method for offering continuous information by AF track circuits. Magnetic fields are formed by current through rails in the AF track circuit systems. So, the continuous information is received by the magnetic fields on a on-board antenna. Coating materials on rails are researched to decrease defects such as head check, shelling, corrugation, squats and so on in Germany. Currently, a coating method of rail construction is proposed by using the ceramics in Korea. When deciding physical characteristic of ceramics, researches are required about variation of flux density by the ceramics. In case that the flux density is much lower than existing value, the information for train control is not transmitted to the on-board antenna. In this paper, inductance on rails is calculated and a model is presented about variation of the magnetic field intensity in the AF track circuit. Standard permeability of ceramics is proposed by analyzing the variation of magnetic field intensity. It is demonstrated by using Maxwell and Matlab program.

  • There is a method for offering continuous information by AF track circuits. Magnetic fields are formed by current through rails in the AF track circuit systems. So, the continuous information is received by the magnetic fields on a on-board antenna.
