A Note on E-Learning Dynamic Assessment with Fuzzy Estimations

  • A model of an assessment module has been created, using intuitionistic fuzzy estimations, which render account on the knowledge of the trained objects. The final mark is determined on the basis of a set of evaluation units. An opportunity is offered no only fur tracing the changes of the parameters of the trainer object, but there is also an opportunity of tracing the status of the already comprehended knowledge, as well as evaluating and changing the training themes and evaluation criteria.

  • The present study covers numerical analysis of a thermionic scanning electron microscope(SEM) column. The SEM column contains an electron optical system in which electrons are emitted and moved to form a focused beam, and this generates secondary electrons from the specimen surfaces, eventually making an image. The electron optical system mainly consists of a thermionic electron gun as the beam source, the lens system, the electron control unit, and the vacuum unit. For a systematic design of the electron optical system, the beam trajectories are investigated through numerical analyses by tracing the ray path of the electron beams, and the quality of resulting image is evaluated from the analysis results.

  • The object of this study is to determine theoretical ship form which minimises wave making resistance under given conditions and developes theoretical ship form planing. By employing the streamline tracing method 1967's Korean Standard Ship Form of 10,000 G.T. linear has been reformed and tested at towing tank of Inha Institute of Technology. The design process and the reformed ship forms had been reported already in reference[4]. In this paper, resistance performance is experimentally observed with three models(original, theoretical, and reformed form) of 2m long in the towing tank, and total resistance of theoretical and reformed ship forms are decreased by 24.9% and 19.7% and wave making resistance by 66.4% and 47.7% compare to original ship form respectively.

Cell Based CMFD Formulation for Acceleration of Whole-core Method of Characteristics Calculations

  • This Paper is to apply the well-established coarse mesh finite difference(CMFD) method to the method of characteristics(MOC) transport calculation as an acceleration scheme. The CMFD problem is first formulated at the pin-cell level with the multi-group structure To solve the cell- based multi-group CMFD problem efficiently, a two-group CMFD formulation is also derived from the multi-group CMFD formulation. The performance of the CMFD acceleration is examined for three test problems with different sizes including a realistic quarter core PWR problem. The CMFD formulation provides a significant reduction in the number of ray tracings and thus only about 9 ray tracing iterations are enough for the realistic problem. In computing time, the CMFD accelerated case is about two or three times faster than the coarse-mesh rebalancing(CMR) accelerated case.

  • Virtual reality applications in Head-Mounted Displays require high frame rates and low latency rendering techniques. Ray tracing offers many benefits, such as high-quality image generation, but has not been utilized due to lower performance than rasterization. But that can obtain good result combined with gaze-tracking technology and human visual system's operation principle. In this paper, we propose a method to optimize the foveated sampling map and to maintain the visual quality through the fast voronoi nearest interpolation. The proposed method further reduces the computational cost that has been improved by the previous foveated sampling. It also smoothes the voronoi boundary using adaptive sibson interpolation, which was not possible in real-time. As a result, the proposed method can render real-time high-quality images with low visual difference.

  • A performance of a new positron polarimeter is investigated by simulation using a charged-particle trajectory program. The results of the ray tracing are presented along with the details of the design parameters and projected system performance. A ray tracing analysis indicates that this design is capable of effectively transmitting positrons at beam energies varying from 0.1 to 30 keV within the beam diameter of 2-6mm. However, the observed reflection of the positrons(lower than 2 keV) at 12 kGauss indicated that further refinement of beam design is needed to produce a better positron polarimeter.

  • Cybercrime is a significant threat to Internet users, involving crimes committed using computers or computer networks. The landscape of cyberspace presents a complex terrain, making the task of tracing the origins of sensitive data a formidable and often elusive endeavor. However, tracing the source of sensitive data in online cyberspace is critically challenging, and detecting cyber-criminals on the other hand remains a time-consuming process, especially in social networks. Cyber-criminals target individuals for financial gain or to cause harm to their assets, resulting in the loss or theft of millions of user data over the past few decades. Forensic professionals play a vital role in conducting successful investigations and acquiring legally acceptable evidence admissible in court proceedings using modern techniques. This study aims to provide an overview of forensic investigation methods for extracting digital evidence from computer systems and mobile devices to combat persistent cybercrime. It also discusses current cybercrime issues and mitigation procedures.

  • 많은 연구 끝에 VANET의 상용화를 눈앞에 두고 있다. VANET은 차량용 애드혹 네트워크의 약자로서, Cloud와 융합하는 방향으로 연구가 진행되고 있다. 하지만 놀랍게도 VANET 기반 클라우드로 진화한데 가장 큰 역할을 한 것은 차량과 통신기술의 발달이다. 이러한 기술이 확산되는 단계에서 연구자들은 항상 보안과 프라이버시에 대해 고민해 왔다. 게다가 VANET처럼 프라이버시, 익명철회, 경로추적 등 상반된 보안 이슈들이 서로 얽힌 상황은 연구자들을 더욱 고민에 빠지게 했다. 최근 Hussain 등은 VANET 기반 클라우드 프레임워크인 VuC (VANET using Clouds)를 제안하였다. VuC는 VANET과 클라우드가 VANET 사용자(서비스 가입자)에게 서비스를 제공하기 위해 협력하는 환경을 말한다. 본 논문은 Hussain 등이 제안한 VANET 기반 클라우드 프레임워크인 VuC에 초점을 두고 있으며, 특히 앞서 말한 프라이버시, 익명철회, 경로추적에 대한 문제를 다루고 있다. 제안하는 기법은 다중 익명화를 통해 프라이버시를 보호한다. 또한 비컨(Beacon)메시지를 클라우드에 저장하여 경로추적과 익명 철회에 활용한다. 익명철회 권한을 가진 기관들은 연합하여 사용자 노드가 선택한 경로를 특정 시간 동안 추적할 수 있으며, 필요한 경우 신원을 확인할 수 있다. 제안된 기법은 안전하고 조건부 익명성을 보장하며 기존의 기법에 비해 연산량이 적다.

Optimal aerodynamic design of hypersonic inlets by using streamline-tracing techniques

  • Rectangular-to-Ellipse Shape Transition (REST) inlets are a class of inward turning inlets designed for hypersonic flight. The aerodynamic design of REST inlets involves very complex flows and shock-wave patterns. These inlets are used in highly integrated propulsive systems. Often the design of these inlets may require many geometrical constraints at different cross-section. In present work a design approach for hypersonic inward-turning inlets, adapted for REST inlets, is coupled with a multi-objective optimization procedure. The automated procedure iterates on the parametric representation and on the numerical solution of a base flow from which the REST inlet is generated by using streamline tracing and shape transition algorithms. The typical design problem of optimizing the total pressure recovery and mass flow capture of the inlet is solved by the proposed procedure. The accuracy of the optimal solutions found is discussed and the performances of the designed REST inlets are investigated by means of fully 3-D Euler and 3-D RANS analyses.
