  • Hardware and software studies strongly indicate the feasibility of commercially producing a low cost, user-friendly photovoltaic cell curve tracer. The instrument will be used in conjuntion with an IBM compatible PC. The system will show not only the parameters; Voc, Isc, FF, Iop, Vop, that the conventional VI tracer shows but also the internal parasitic resistance and the detail parameters.

  • A novel technique for determining the oxygen tracer diffusion coefficients in oxides was developed. After the 16O-18O solid-gas exchange reactions between 16O in the oxides and 18O in the ambient gas, Raman spectra of the cross sections of oxide samples were measured in a spatial resolution of 5 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. From thus obtained Raman spectra, depth profiles of 18O concentration in the oxide samples were calculated. The oxygen tracer diffusion coefficients and the surface exchange coefficients were determined under the assumptions that samples are semi-infinite slab and that the surface exchange reactionsare not negligible. The oxygen tracer diffusion coefficient of 2.8 mol% Y2O3-containing tetragonal ZrO2 polycrystals, 8 mol% Y2O3-containing ZrO2 polycrystals, and 10 mol% Y2O3-containing cubic ZrO2 single crystals (along the a axis) are as follows.

  • Variation of tracer distribution during the vortex-breakup period in the Antarctic region was observed by the data from the Improved Limb Atmospheric Spectrometer (ILAS) and ILAS-II. All four trace species including methane, nitrous oxide, ozone, and water vapor show similar patterns of vertical gradient in spite of different structures of zonal mean mixing ratio. Timings of vortex breakup on each level are estimated by two different methods, and they are compared with zonal standard deviations following the latitude circle of each trace species. Although the tracers have different chemical life times and sink/source, the zonal standard deviation patterns show remarkable similarities. The zonal standard deviation shown here to measure the zonal asymmetry of tracer distribution is believed to diagnose the timing of the Antarctic polar-vortex breakup reasonably well.

동북아 지역에서의 SO$_2$ 건성 침적에 관한 정량분석 (A Study on the Quantitative Analysis of SO$_2$ Dry Deposition in the Northeastern Asia)

  • A tracer model was applied in the Far East Asia to investigate the dry deposition rates of air pollutants on Korean Peninsula originated from different countries including China and Japan. Wind direction was chosen to predict the maximum deposition rates and SO$_2$ was chosen as a tracer to estimate the source strength. Model simulation shows that inflow, deposition and airborne ratios of China-originated SO$_2$ were 50%, 8% and 30%, respectively, at most. Also it was found that deposition, outbounded and airborne ratios of Korea-originated SO$_2$ were 15~77%, 8~75%, and 3~30%, respectively Model simulation also shows that inflow, deposition and airborne ratios of Kyushu-originated SO$_2$ were, 30~45%, 8~14% and 20~25%, respectively. This study shows that tracer model can be applied on the estimation of air pollutants partitioning in regional scale and that more sophisticated modules and schemes can be developed and applied to better predict the transboundary amounts of air pollutants in this region.

추적가스를 이용한 바닥취출 공조공간내의 환기효율 측정실험 (Ventilation effectiveness measurements utilizing a tracer gas in an under floor air-conditioning space)

  • In this study, a tracer gas technique was used to measure ventilation effectiveness in a thermal environmental chamber simulating an under-floor air conditioning system. A tracer gas of $SF_6$ was injected in a supply duct using step-up and step-down methods. Local mean ages and room mean ages were calculated from the measured concentrations under isothermal and cooling conditions with and without diffusers. Ventilation effectiveness is found to be higher in cooling ventilation operations than in isothermal operations. Results also show that ventilation effectiveness is not significantly affected by a diffuser.

  • In this paper, we directly implemented the Line Tracer ROS package that can detect and follow lines drawn on the map on Gazebo, an open-source that is widely used in autonomous driving research. For line detection, the cv_bridge package was used to enable OpenCV's image processing tools, and parameters such as robot speed, line color and ground material could be changed. In addition, proportional (P) and PID controls could be implemented using the color centroid obtained through image processing. Through this approach, the effect of proportional and differential coefficients on the robot's line tracer motion could be analyzed effectively. In addition, by displaying robot simulation results using various tools of ROS, an efficient development for control nodes could be established in ROS.

  • CSD는 미국 국토안보부(DHS)에서 제시한 IEEE Standard 802.15.4b를 토대로 하는 컨테이너 보안 장치로 ISO 668 표준 규격으로 제작된 컨테이너에 장착되어 컨테이너 도어의 개폐여부를 감지하는 장치이다. 본 연구에서 개발한 CSD(Container Security Device)의 주 기능은 컨테이너 도어 개폐 여부 감지와 컨테이너 내부 환경 상태 및 운송 도중 컨테이너에 가해지는 충격에 대한 이력 조회이다. 본 논문에서는 글로벌 물류 패러다임 변화를 토대로 컨테이너화물 안전수송에 질적 서비스 향상을 위하여 본 연구에서 개발한 ConTracer를 활용하여 구현된 시스템을 한국 일본 간 컨테이너 물류 경로에 시범 운영 테스트를 적용하여 ConTracer의 시스템 성능 평가를 검증하는데 초점을 두었다.
