An Authoring Tool for Hangul Soft Keyboard in Android (안드로이드 한글 소프트 키보드 저작 도구 구현)

  • Most mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets have a soft keyboard implemented on the LCD touch screen to receive text inputs from the user. Because the size of the LCD screen is small, many efforts are going on to develop efficient soft keyboard with less key buttons. Especially, Hangul soft keyboard needs much time, effort, and deep software technology in developing an Hangul automata program module. This paper introduces design and implementation details of our authoring tool for Hangul soft keyboard running in Android. The tool supports the user to build an unique soft keyboard easily. The authoring tool downloads the soft keyboard app to the user's smartphone and makes it run immediately.

  • In this paper, a new touch user interface which is based on the hand operations of dragging and diversion is presented. With it, convenience and quickness for inputting of texts as well as searching and selecting of multi-layered menus are improved. The new interface also applies relative coordinate systems which display texts on the touch positions corresponding to the moving of touch location. It accommodates more text codes than those in conventional fixed coordinate systems which allocates texts to fixed location on touch screen. The suggested interface is implemented to IPTV remote control and set-top box to prove its practicality and effectiveness.

Avoiding Automatic Android App Analysis by Detecting Random Touch Generation (무작위 터치 발생 탐지를 이용한 안드로이드 앱 자동 분석 회피에 관한 연구)

  • As the number of malicious Android applications increases rapidly, many automatic analysis systems are proposed. Hoping to trigger as many malicious behaviors as possible, the automatic analysis systems are adopting random touch generation modules. In this paper, we propose how to differentiate real human touches and randomly generated touches. Through experiments, we figured out that the distance between two consecutive human touches is shorter than that of random generation module. Also we found that the touch speed of human is also limited. In addition, humans rarely touch the outer area of smartphone screen. By using statistics of human smartphone touch, we developed an algorithm to differentiate between human touches and randomly generated touches. We hope this research will help enhance automatic Android app analysis systems.

  • 터치스크린 기반의 스마트폰의 경우 작고 좁은 입력 시스템을 가지고 있다. 또한 키들 간의 물리적인 경계가 없어 인접어가 잘못 입력 되는 터치 오류가 자주 발생한다. 본 논문은 스마트폰에서 키보드의 인접키가 잘못 터치 되어 발생하는 오류를 정정하고, 개인화 된 사용자의 입력 빈도에 기반한 입력어 추천 시스템인 Klice에 대하여 설명하고 있으며 기본 입력에 대비한 성능평가 결과도 소개한다. Klice는 현재 Apple사의 AppStore에서 다운 받을 수 있다.

  • In this paper, different types of touch screen silver pastes for bonding in conductive pattern formed over the ito film by bonding each sample of 5 was dried. The dry conditions, the oxidation of the ito film is a condition that does not occur. Reliability testing constant temp and humidity, cold-hot impact test is in progress. Each test will check the status of five sheets conductive pattern bonding. Conductive pattern bonding, after each 240,480,615 hours to check the status of silver pattern bonding. Reliability testing these through different silver pastes can see that the change in the adhesion and conductivity deterioration of the quality can be prevented, and reliability testing low temperature curing from the surface of silver pastes that can come as soon as the discoloration was unknown.

Patterning of ITO on Touch Screen Panels using a beam shaped femtosecond laser (빔 쉐이핑된 펨토초 레이저를 이용한 터치스크린 패널의 ITO 박막 패터닝)

  • Femtosecond laser patterning of ITO on a touch screen panel with a shaped fs laser beam was investigated. A quasi flat-top beam was formed using a variable mask and a planoconvex lens. The spatial profile of the original Gaussian beam and the shaped beam were monitored by a CCD beam profiler. The laser patterned ITO film was examined using an optical microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS), and Atomic Force Microscope (AFM). It turned out that the quality of the ITO pattern fabricated by a shaped beam is superior to that of the pattern without beam shaping in terms of debris generation, height of the craters, and homogeneity of the bottom. Optimum processing window was determined at the laser irradiance exhibiting 100% removal of Sn. The removal rate of In was measured to be 83%.

  • Recently, Augmented Reality(AR) technologies have been emerged, which shows the types of digital contents integrating real and virtual worlds. To maximize the effect of AR technology, tangible user interface, which enables users to interact with the contents in the same way in which they manipulate objects in real world, is applied. In particular, we expect that the technologies are able to enhance learners' interests and degree of immersion, and produce new learning contents in order to maximize the effect of learning. In this paper, we propose a learning system for scientific experiments with multi-touch screen and tangible user interface. The system consists of an experiment table equipped with a large multi-touch screen and a realistic learning device that can detect the user's simple gestures. In real world, some scientific experiments involve high cost, long time or dangerous objects, but this system will overcome such hindrance and provide learners with a variety of experiment experience in realistic ways.

  • This paper is proposed on the transmit Method Finger-Printer Scanning of Mutual Capacitance Touch Screen Panel Using Differential Pulse for improving the security of computer information. This system is composed of differential pulse generator and Ring-Counter, also Supply voltage is 5V. this system generates the Pulse wave which is composed of In-Phase and Out of Phase at 1MHz while period of 2m/s. it is designed and be able to operate four channels. overall power consumption is approximately 78.08nW. This prototype is implemented in 0.25um CMOS Process and Chip area is $870um{\times}880um$.

Highly Flexible Touch Screen Panel Fabricated with Silver Nanowire Crossing Electrodes and Transparent Bridges

  • A capacitive-type touch screen panel (TSP) composed of silver nanowire (AgNW) crossing electrodes and transparent bridge structures was fabricated on a polycarbonate film. The transparent bridge structure was formed with a stack of Al-doped ZnO (AZO) electrodes and SU-8 insulator. The stable and robust continuity of the bridge electrode over the bridge insulator was achieved by making the side-wall slope of the bridge insulator low and depositing the conformal AZO film with atomic layer deposition. With an extended exposure time of photolithography, the lower part of the SU-8 layer around the region uncovered by the photomask can be exposed enough to the UV light scattered from the substrate. This leads to the low side-wall slope of the bridge insulator. The fabricated TSP sample showed a large capacitance change of 22.71% between with and without touching. Our work supplies the technological clue for ensuring long-term reliability to the highly flexible and transparent TSP made by using conventional fabrication processes.

The Influence of Altering Mobile Phone Interface on the Generation of Mental Model (모바일 폰의 인터페이스 변경이 멘탈모델 형성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is to inquire respective patterns of mental models caused by wrongful usages which can be experienced when a user who is used to a keypad-based mobile phone starts using a touch screen mobile phone and to find out the features of the user's logical process of correcting such wrongful usages to a new mental model. In addition, design improvement to be considered for easy generation of the mental model regarding touch screen mobile phones was reviewed in this study. We set up test subjects for the most frequently used seven high priority functions among touch screen phone functions and carried out the subject assessment together with interview surveys after the video observation experiment. Our test results show that test subjects who were used to keypad-based mobile phones tend to use operation knowledge related to the computer operational system(Window) or the web browse, navigation including Tap or Double Tap in order to correct the mental model when a wrongful usage is made. In addition, the result of comparison and analysis of the subject assessment and the video observation experiment data shows that wrongful usages of touch screen mobile phones mostly occurred in the field of 'information feedback' and 'navigation' among mobile phone components.
