In this paper, the detection scheme of the spatial coordinates based on stereo camera for a Transformation algorithm of an Leg-wheel Hexapod Robot is proposed. Robot designed as can have advantages that do transfer possibility fast mobility in flat topography and uneven topography through walk that use wheel drive. In the proposed system, using the disparity data obtained from the left and right images captured by the stereo camera system and the perspective transformation between a 3-D scene and an image plane, depth information can be detected. Robot uses construed environmental data and transformation algorithm, decide wheel drive and leg waik, and can calculate width of street and regulate width of robot.

A phase-shifting projection moire method particularly intended for high-speed three-dimensional shape reconstruction of diffuse objects is presented. Emphasis is on realization of phase-shifting fringe analysis in projection moire topography using a set of line grating pairs designed to provide different phase shifts in sequence. Further a time-integral fringe capturing scheme is devised to remove undesirable high frequency original grating patterns in real-time without time-consuming software image processing. Finally the performances of the proposed method are discussed with measurement results.

This paper presents appliation of optical moire topography to mesuring force profiles of dies and clay models for practical use in the field of production engineering. Moire topography has been studied intensively during last few decades in the area of optical physics and its mathmatical theory has now been established. In this study, two optical configurations are suggested in which resultant moire fringes can be readily analyzed, so that 3D proviles of the models are constructed through a series of image processing by suing ma chine vision techniques. Experimental results demonstreated by using a micro- computer and CCD camera show 0.05mm measuring spatial resulution, so that the optical method can effectively adopted in order to overcome many difficulties arising when using the existing contact-type digitizing methods.
The purpose of this study is to analyze landslide that occurred in Yongin area in 1991 using spatial database. For this, landslide locations are detected from aerial photographs interpretation and field survey. The locations of landslide, topography, soil, forest and geology were constructed to spatial database using Geographic Information System (GIS). To establish occurrence factors of landslide, slope, aspect and curvature of topography were calculated from the topographic database. Texture, material, drainage and effective thickness of soil were extracted from the soil database, and type, age, diameter and density of wood were extracted from the forest database. Lithology was extracted from the geological database, and land use was classified from the TM satellite image. Landslide was analyzed using spatial correlation between the landslide and the landslide occurrence factors by bivariate probability methods. GIS was used to analyze vast data efficiently and statistical programs were used to maintain specialty and accuracy. The result can be used to prevention of hazard, land use planning and construction planning as basic data.
We introduce a new type of surface microscope using hydrodynamic phenomena. The fluid flow through the opening of the pipette probe is blocked at short distances between the probe and the surface, thus increasing the pressure loss. Therefore, a scanning flow impedance microscope (SFIM) can image the surface topology by scanning the probe with measuring the pressure loss. The SFIM can display the topology regardless of surface hardness, surface electrical conductivity, and surrounding fluid. The present letter contains the first experimental results on surface topography obtained with this novel microscope. The preliminary results in air demonstrate the lateral resolution of the SFIM is very close to the inner diameter of the probe.
Hyperion, as hyperspectral data, is carried on NASA’s EO-1 satellite, can be used in more subtle discrimination on forest cover, with 224 band in 360 ?2580 nm (10nm interval). In this study, Hyperion image is used to investigate the effects of topography on the classification of forest cover, and to assess whether the topographic correction improves the discrimination of species units for practical forest mapping. A publicly available Digital Elevation Model (DEM), at a scale of 1:25,000, is used to model the radiance variation on forest, considering MSR(Mean Spectral Ratio) on antithesis aspects. Hyperion, as hyperspectral data, is corrected on a pixel-by-pixel basis to normalize the scene to a uniform solar illumination and viewing geometry. As a result, the approach on topographic effect normalization in hyperspectral data can effectively reduce the variation in detected radiance due to changes in forest illumination, progress the classification of forest cover.

It is well accepted that gloss variation deteriorates the print quality and there are various objective ways to measure this. Several studies now have shown that the coefficient of variation in the octave band passed printed gloss image has an excellent correlation with ratings by an expert panel using a magnitude estimation scaling method. The correlation improves when the gloss level is also taken into account beyond that of the COV. There is also evidence that the correlation would improve even more if the gloss spatial distribution could be better accounted for. We show that much (at least 80% and perhaps up to 90%) of the gloss distribution can be accounted for by the paper topography over a wide range of dimensions (scale). Recent work has supported the role that microroughness and multiple surface scattering play in the gloss distribution. This offers the promise of showing that even a greater amount of gloss variationcan be explained by topography.

In this paper, based on the information about navigation system of UAV with PTZ camera and 3D topography, algorithm able to show us in real-time UAV's geographical shooting location and automatically calculate superficial measure of the shooting area is proposed. And the method that can automatically estimate whether UAV is allowed to shoot a specific area is shown. In case of an UAV's shooting attempt at the specific area, obtainability of valid image depends on not only UAV's location but also information of 3D topography. As a result of the study, Ground Control Center will have real-time information about whether UAV can shoot the needed topography. Therefore, accurate remote flight control will be possible in real-time. Furthermore, the algorithm and the method of estimating shooting probability can be applied to pre-flight simulation and set of flight route.

We will catch the spatio-temporal changes that analyse the unknown topography of Go-Gunsan Islands using Landsat TM satellite images into an unsupervised ISODATA classification and a supervised nearest likelihood classification. Each sedimental topography has the different characteristics according to building the Saemangeum embarkment. We will deal with the distribution of sedimental shapes using ERDAS Imagine 8. 6. The result that classifies specifically topographic properties of our research area be considered to get use of establishing the reclaiming program and predicating the reclaimed sedimental topography. The research area can be classified into tidal flats and sea level using band 4 among 7 bands of Landsat TM. Also band 5 can be used to classify the special unknown shapes of tidal flats. We will clarify the efficiency that spatio-temporal sedimental changes can be extracted through processing satellite images. Therefore, the spatio-temporal unknown topography change monitoring using satellite images is expected to be very useful to clarify whether the tidal flat is generated or not in the Go-Gunsan Islands at the outer side of the embarkment after constructing completely the Saemangeum tidal embarkment.
This study : An analysis of position accuracy of topography according to using LiDAR data, aerial photo and digital map for a study area was conducted. The study area was selected in Hadan area, Sahagu, Busan aerial LiDAR data and aerial photo in the scales of 1:20,000, which are high tech surveying ways were used. The final digital orthoimage according to orientation process for each image and image resampling was producted. Using it, a checkpoint was chosen, information about the checkpoints selected was extracted, a coordinate of Horizontal Position through the screen digitizing was also extracted. Both the coordinates of LiDAR data and aerial photo using digital map in the scales of 1:20,000 announced to the public from NGII(National Geographic Information Institute) were gradually compared and analyzed. Based on the digital map, as a result of being both compared and analyzed, it has shown to us that horizontal position of aerial photo is more accurate than that of aerial LiDAR surveying (RMSE-building x:24cm, y:26cm).
