본 연구에서는 도서관 OPAC 이용 향상을 위한 목적으로 도서관 툴바를 구현하였다. 도서관 툴바의 설계를 위해 OPAC을 중심으로 중요도가 높은 기능을 도서관 툴바의 구성요소로 도출하였다. 툴바의 구현은 툴바 구현방식을 비교 조사하여 원하는 툴바의 기능성을 실현할 수 있는 클라이언트 독자형으로 개발하였다. 사서들을 대상으로 사용성 평가를 수행한 결과 도서관 툴바의 기능이 매우 긍정적으로 평가되었다. 사서들이 툴바 수정에 제시하는 의견을 수용하여 수정 툴바의 구성 요소를 도출하였다. 향후, 수정된 툴바를 도서관 이용자에게 사용하게 한 후, 이용자를 대상으로 사용성 평가를 수행함으로써 이용자의 요구가 파악되고 수용이 되어야 한다.

As the number of functions in a menu increases, users have more difficulties in finding a desired function. Previous studies have shown that some functions are selected more frequently than others, and have suggested adaptive menus that support the selection of frequently used functions. Interestingly, studies on an adaptive toolbar are not easy to find as opposed to many studies on adaptive menus. This study suggested an adaptive toolbar (AT) that supported function selection, and conducted a usability test. Five or ten functions were presented in the AT according to the frequency of use or recency of use. A total of sixteen males in their twenties participated in the test. They freely selected functions from the menu or from the AT, and their pattern of selecting functions was analyzed. The results showed that the AT was more frequently used than the menu as time passed. The AT based on the recency of use showed more effective performance than that based on the frequency of use. In addition, keeping ten functions was better than five functions in terms of both performance and preference.

대학생들은 학술정보를 검색할 때, 도서관 OPAC보다 인터넷을 선호한다. 인터넷 검색에 뒤지지 않고 이용 편리성에 우선하는 OPAC의 인터페이스 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구는 웹 2.0 실현의 한 방법으로 간편 검색도구인 도서관(OPAC) 툴바를 제공하여 인터넷 툴바와 비교평가 함으로써, OPAC도 인터넷과 같이 편리하고 유용하게 사용될 수 있는 검색도구임을 규명하였다. 이와 더불어 본 연구에서 조사한 정보검색 사이트 선호 요인 및 인터넷과 도서관 OPAC의 비교에서 도출한 논점은 Library 2.0을 실현하는 사용편리성에 우선하는 OPAC 구현에 기초 자료가 될 것이다.

The present study employed an experimental usability testing technique to explore cognitive engineering characteristics of WWW. Based on the results of our previous study which employed non-experimental methods such as questionnaire and heuristic evaluation method, this study used a behavioral performance-measurement technique to evaluate the usability of a domestic web-site design. Specifically, we revised the menu and document structure of the original 'Movie-Friend' site to solve the design problems which were extracted from the results of the heuristic evaluation method of our previous study. Exp. 1 compared the relative navigation efficiency of the original frame menu site and the revised pop-up toolbar site, and Exp. 2 compared the toolbar menu site and the revised frame site. As a result of Exp. 1, the revised pop-up toolbar site showed improved navigation efficiency compared to the original site, as indicated by the mean latency and the number of pathways to reach the target page. However, we found no performance difference between the frame site and toolbar site in Exp. 2.

기존의 인터넷 익스플로러는 높은 보급률의 이점을 지니고 있지만 인터넷을 이용하기 위한 기본지식의 필요성과 키보드, 마우스와 같은 장치를 이용한 입력방식은 장애인 및 고령층의 사용자들이 이용하기에는 불편하다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하고자 본 논문에서는 웹 서비스 기술을 이용하여 기존의 음성인식 시스템을 웹 서비스로 재구성하고 클라이언트가 음성인식 웹 서비스를 요청하고 음성명령이 가능하도록 인터넷 익스플로러에 음성명령이 가능한 Navigaotr를 Toolbar 형태의 프로그램을 구현하였다. 본 시스템은 클라이언트가 사용하는 음성 Navigator Toolbar와 웹 서비스를 통해서 음성 서비스를 제공하는 음성 서비스 프로바이더로 구성된다. 음성 Navigator Toolbar는 인터넷 환경에서 음성데이터를 바이너리 포맷형식인 DIME을 이용하여 음성 서비스 프로바이더로 전송하고 반환 결과를 가지고 URL Navigator를 통해 인터넷 페이지를 이동시킨다. 음성 서비스 프로바이더는 사용자가 전송한 음성데이터를 인식기를 통해 인식하고 결과를 가지고 정보 Database를 검색하여 실제 인터넷 주소를 사용자에게 반환한다.

대부분의 관제사들은 매일 다루고 있는 콘솔에 불편한 느끼는 일이 많다. 하지만 이러한 관제사들의 생각이 VTS 시스템 개발에 반영되지 못하고 있는 것도 사실이다. 현재 개발 중에 있는 u-VTS(차세대 한국형VTS)에 관제사들의 현장 경험을 접목시키는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구는 유저 인터페이스에 대해서 알아보고, 관제사의 상황자각 및 의사결정에 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있는 방향으로 운영자 콘솔의 유저 인터페이스가 개선되도록 하는데 초점을 두었다.

소비자 중심 마케팅 성장과 더불어 확대되고 있는 웹 트래픽 수집 및 분석 서비스 시장에서는 이미 서비스 제공자와 사용자간 정보 활용과 정보보호의 치열한 공방이 시작되었고 보다 상세한 소비자 정보를 마케팅에 활용하고 싶은 욕구가 극대화되고 있다. 기업은 익명화된 개인정보의 마케팅활용을 정당화하고 개인은 잠재적 우려사항을 감수할 수밖에 없는 실정이다. 그러므로 본고에서는 국내의 웹 트래픽 수집 및 분석 서비스 산업에서 개인정보보호에 저해되는 프로세스를 검토하고 잠재적 우려사항을 밝히고자 한다. 국내 주요 상용서비스를 중심으로 개인정보보호정책 분석과 서비스과정의 고의 혹은 우연한 개인정보 수집행위 등 목적 외 범위 타당성을 검토하고, 역공학을 통해 서비스과정에서의 개인정보 수집 및 이용 범위를 분석하였다. 개인정보 추출 범위 확대와 침해 가능성 심화로 인해 현재 국내 서비스의 타당성 평가는 매우 중요하다. 웹 트래픽 수집 및 분석 행위로 인한 개인정보 침해의 잠재요인과 서비스 활용을 위한 개인정보보호의 요건을 명확히 밝히는 것은 웹 트래픽 분석산업과 개인정보보호의 균형 발전을 위해 매우 중요할 것이다.

Icons are the main element of the graphic user interface (GUI). They can help users perform effectively on the computer, especially when the icons reflect user`s mental model. However, few studies in Korea represented Korean users` mental models in icon design. The purpose of this study, therefore, was to ascertain whether existing icons agreement with Korean twentieth mental model, and to deduce properties of Korean twentieth mental model. To do that, 10 icons from two commercially available toolbar-icons of word processing programs were compared with the newly developed icons, which were developed to represent Korean user`s mental modelthrough interviews, surveys, and mental model sketches. The results show that five new metaphors were found: a dog-eared part on the bottom right corner new for new document, a magnifying glass for search, a red pencil for spell-check, `＋` and `` signs in the magnifying glass for zoom, and a yellow post-it for paste. These new icons were preferred to the existing. Korean twentieth users preferred rather complex and dynamic icons than simple and static ones even though icon development guideline said simple icons are better.

피싱(phishing) 공격의 피해가 증가함에 따라 그에 대한 대응책 및 관련 연구가 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 피싱 공격을 막는 솔루션(anti-phishing solutions)들은 웹브라우져(web-browser)의 보안 기능으로 혹은 보안 툴바(toolbar)의 형태로 다양하게 개발되었고, 그밖에도 이메일 필터링(email-filtering), 비밀 이미지 공유를 통한 서버 인증 강화 등의 방식으로 솔루션들이 개발되었다. 피싱 관련 연구로는 피싱 공격이 성공하는 이유에 대한 분석 연구, 피싱 공격을 막는 솔루션들이 효과적인지에 대해 사용자 입장에서 분석한 연구들이 발표되었다. 이 논문에서는 피싱 공격을 막는 다양한 종류의 솔루션들을 소개하고, 대표적인 솔루션들의 기술적 원리를 이해한다. 또한, 피싱 관련 연구 결과들을 함께 짚어봄으로써 피싱 공격을 막는 솔루션들이 개선되어야할 점들을 강조하여 살펴보고, 앞으로 피싱을 막기 위한 대책 연구가 진행되어야할 방향을 제시한다.

In the field of oriental medicine, many researchers head for the aim of standardization. To achieve this aim, oriental medical researchers have been carried out experimental research, statistical research, clinical research, philological research, etc., and, have published their results to journals. But, the declaration of Roman name of herbal formula is not united each other, on several article. So, we should prepare database to search in domestic and overseas, and should consider compatibility of internationally used search system. Also, it is need to use appropriate roman letters in oriental medical terms for people can use easily. We inquired the type of roman letters in the name of formula of article that were carried oriental medical journal, to find out appropriate roman letters and to the demands of the times. There were many cases that Korean name of formula is not correspond to the declaration of Korea roman letters. Also, the declaration of roman letters for preparation like as tang(湯), san(散), hwan(丸) etc. are not standardized. To facilitate making database and forming search system, now we suggest that we can standardize the declaration of Korea roman letters by using of Hangul(한글) word processor's toolbar which has transformation of roman letters.
