Implementation of Compact Vector Control System for Induction Motor Using TMS320F2812 DSP and Smart Power Module (TMS320F2812 DSP와 스마트 파워모듈을 사용한 유도전동기 소형 벡터제어 시스템의 구현)

  • This paper presents an implementation of compact vector control system for induction motor using a digital signal processor (DSP) and a smart power module (SPM). The DSP TMS320F2812 has most necessary functions for ac motor control in a single chip and SPM provides a compact power stage. The indirect vector control algorithm is implemented in the drive system using these devices. The developed system is applied by 0.8kW induction servo motor and the all functions are verified through the experiments.

  • 본 논문에서는 TMS320F2812 DSP를 사용하여 PFC를 위한 디지털 제어기를 설계하였다. 디지털제어기를 사용함으로써 윈도우 기반의 PC와 통신을 통해 제어기의 각종 파라미터를 모니터할 수 있고 원격제어가 가능하도록 설계하였다. 설계된 디지털 제어기는 DC 200V출력의 300W급 부스트 컨버터에 적용하였으며, 디지털 제어기를 통하여 입력전류가 입력전압의 위상을 추종제어 됨을 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.

Sensorless Control of Brushless DC Motors based on TMS320F2812

  • A new sensorless control strategy for brushless DC (BLDC) motors is proposed in this paper. This technique builds a rotor position-related flux function, which is independent of the speed. By observing the flux function, the information of rotor position and commutation can be obtained. As the function is not speed-related, this control process can be used in a wider range of speed and improves the motor's performance during startup. An experimental test bad based on TMS320F2812 has been built, and the experimental result indicates that the motor achieves a smooth starting-up and stable phase commutation with the proposed control strategy.

  • In this paper, we did pursue the embodiment of a mouse pointing system which help the handicapped and people of not familiar with using electronics use electronic devices easily. Speech Recognition and 3-axis acceleration sensors in conjunction with a headset, a new mouse pointing system is constructed. We used speaker dependent system module which are generating the BCD code by recognizing human voices because it has high recognition rate rather than speaker independent system. Head-set mouse system is organized by 3-axis accelerometer, sound recognition module and TMS320F2812 processor. The main controller, TMS320F2812 DSP-processor is communicated with main computer by using SCI communications. The system is operated by Visual Basic in PC.

  • 최근 산업 분야에 걸쳐서 고속, 고정밀도의 요구사항에 따라, 회전 모터와 볼 스크류, 벨트를 이용한 직선구동방식보다 빠르고 정확하며, 효율이 높은 직접구동 방식의 리니어모터 및 컨트롤러의 개발이 요구되고 있다. 이런 상황에 고속 연산을 수행할 수 있는 DSP(Digital Signal Processor)의 사용이 불가피하며, 기존의 칩들은 A/D변환기, PWM발생장치 등이 내장되지 않아 제어장치의 부품 수증가 및 복잡성을 피할 수 없었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 SVPWM(Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation) 및 QEP(Quadrature Encoder Pulse) 회로와 PWM 발생기, 12bit의 고속 A/D변환기, 파워 드라이버보호회로 등을 내장한 TMS320F2812 DSP를 사용하여 반도체장비분야, 자동화분야 등에 사용되는 LBLDCM의 제어를 가능하게 만들었다. 또한, 기존의 DSP 시리즈 보다 연산속도가 고속화되어 고속연산에 의한 시간적 제한을 극복 할 수 있게 되었고, 제어에 필요한 하드웨어적인 기능들을 내장하고 있어서 주변회로가 필요 없게 되었다. 따라서 하드웨어의 간소화와 개발 시간의 단축 및 신뢰도의 향상과 모터 효율의 향상을 가져오도록 하였다. 제안된 제어장치는 제작되어, 실험을 통하여 그 타당성을 입증하였다.

  • In this paper, the high precision position control of AC Servo motor for semiconductor equipment is studied. The control system was implemented using TI DSP TMS320F2812 which has 150 MIPS speed for next generation motor control. The controlled 100W PMSM motor has 2,500 ppr optical incremental encoder. The control system has speed controller and current controller to control the motor position. The encoder pulses are divided into 4 times, which has 10,000 ppr and the motor system has the position accuracy of 1/10,000. If the resolution of the encoder is increased, the resolution of the position control will be increased.

  • Recently with the development of power switching device and DSP which has peripheral devices to control AC servo system, the servo technology has met a new development opportunity. Those things make it possible to reduce the time of developing a AC servo system. Fixed point DSP such as TMS320F240x, and TMS320F28x series have a disadvantage in calculating floating number where TMS320C32 or TMS320C31 are floating point DSP. However they usually become a complex hardware system to implement the AC servo system and it increases the cost. In this study, a DSP based AC servo system with a 3-phase PMSM is proposed. The newly produced DSP TMX320F28l2-version C which has the performance of fast speed, 150MIPS, and a rich peripheral interface such as a 12bit high speed AD converter, QEP(Quadrature Encoder Pulse) circuit, PDPINT(Power Drive Protect Interrupt), SVPWM module and dead time module are used. This paper presents a method to overcome fixed point calculating using scaling all parameters. Also space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) using off-set voltage and a digital PI control are implemented to the servo system.

  • This paper represents the improvement of floating point operation for AC servo motor controller based on fixed point operation DSP. TMS320F2812 has fixed point operation processing structure. The controller parameters are modified to the digitized data by scaling the original parameters. TMS320F 2812 is a 32-bit processor, and it could have enough accuracy to get the digitized data this procedure is implemented and the experiments controling a AC servo system.
