단순화된 타이어 진동전달 모델의 전달경로분석법을 이용한 로드노이즈 예측기술 개발 (Road Noise Estimation Based on Transfer Path Analysis Using a Simplified Tire Vibration Transfer Model)

  • Quantification of road noise is a challenging issue in the development of tire noise since its transfer paths are complicated. In this paper, a simplified model to estimate the road noise is developed. Transfer path of the model is from wheel to interior. The method uses the wheel excitation force estimated throughout inverse method. In inversion procedure, the Tikhonov regularization method is used to reduce the inversion error. To estimate the wheel excitation force, the vibration of knuckle is measured and transfer function between knuckle and wheel center is also measured. The wheel excitation force is estimated by using the measured knuckle vibration and the inversed transfer function. Finally interior noise due to wheel force is estimated by multiplying wheel excitation force in the vibro-acoustic transfer function. This vibro-acoustic transfer function is obtained throughout measurement. The proposed method is validated by using cleat excitation method. Finally, it is applied to the estimation of interior noise of the vehicle with different types of tires during driving test.

소형항공기 올레오 타입 전방착륙장치 충격해석 (Impact Analysis of Oleo-pneumatic Nose Strut for Light Aircraft)

  • 본 연구에서는 올레오-뉴메틱(Oleo-pneumatic) 완충장치와 차등 제동 조향(Differential Braking Steering)을 위한 캐스터링 휠 포크(Castering Wheel Fork)가 적용된 소형항공기용 전방착륙장치의 충격하중 해석을 위한 비선형 2 자유도 수학적 모델을 생성하고, 수치해석 기법을 이용하여 시간에 따른 충격응답을 구하였다. 생성된 전방착륙장치의 수학적 모델은 타이어의 충격 시 동적 특성과 스트루트 기울기, 캐스터에 의한 모멘트, 타이어 접촉과 조향 등에 의해 발생하는 측면하중에 의한 올레오 스트루트 내부의 마찰 특성 등의 비선형 요소들을 포함하고 있다. 또 생성된 운동방정식의 수치해석은 4차 Runge-Kutta 방식을 이용하였으며, 운동방정식 및 수치해의 정확도를 평가하기 위한 타 항공기에 기 적용된 전방 착륙장치의 낙하시험 결과와의 비교 검증과정을 수행하였다.

QoS 경로 설정을 위한 Shortcut 기반 통합 서버 설계 (Design of the Shortcut based Integrated & Advanced Networking Server(IANS) for QoS path)

  • 현재 인터넷에서 단-대-단 QoS 경로 제공을 위하여 자원 예약 서비스기반 통합서비스 모델, PHB에 의한 차등서비스기반 차등 서비스 모델, 그리고 이러한 2가지 모델을 목표 망의 상태에 따라 분리 적용하는 two-tire 모델에 의한 서비스 방안 등이 제안되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 인터넷의 QoS를 ATM 기반 망에 적용 시, 두 통신망간의 근본적인 상호연결방식, 이름/주소변환체계의 차이 및 단-대-단 shortcut 경로 설정에 의한 QoS 제공 등의 문제점이 제기된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점 해결을 위하여, 현재 ATM 기반 IP 통합 망에서 차세대 인터넷 이름/주소 체계의 통합 및 확장성을 보장하는 shortcut 기반 QoS 경로 설정 방안에 대하여 제안한다. 이렇게 설정된 경로에 의해 다중 서비스 클래스의 차별화 된 트래픽 처리가 설계되며, 각 단계별로 서버, ER 및 호스트 측면에서 적용 가능하도록기본기능이 구현된다. 추후 이러한 기능은 확장되어 차세대 인터넷 목표 망에 shortcut 기반QoS 보장 경로를 단-대-단 접속 구성장치 간에 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

CONTROL STRATEGY OF AN ACTIVE SUSPENSION FOR A HALF CAR MODEL WITH PREVIEW INFORMATION

  • To improve the ride comfort and handling characteristics of a vehicle, an active suspension which is controlled by external actuators can be used. An active suspension can control the vertical acceleration of a vehicle and the tire deflection to achieve the desired suspension goal. For this purpose, Model Predictive Control (MPC) scheme is applied with the assumption that the preview information of the oncoming road disturbance is available. The predictive control approach uses the output prediction to forecast the output over a time horizon and determines the future control over the horizon by minimizing the performance index. The developed method is applied to a half car model of four degrees-of-freedom and numerical simulations show that the MPC controller improves noticeably the ride qualities and handling performance of a vehicle.

휠형차량의 연약지 견인성능 예측 (Prdiction of Tractive Performance of Wheeled Vehicles on Soft Terrains)

  • In this paper, mathematical model was developed for predicting the tractive performance of off-road wheeled vehicles operated on soft terrains. Based on the mathematical model, a computer simulation program(TPPMWV) was developed. The model takes into account main design parameters of wheeled vehicle, including radius and width of front and rear tire, weight of vehicle, wheelbase and driving type(4WD, 2WD). Soil characteristics, such as the peressure-sinkage and shearing characteristics and the response to repetitive loading and slip-sinkage effect, are also taken into consideration. The effectiveness of the developed model was verified by comparing the predicted drawbar pulls using TPPMWV with measured ones obtained by field tests for two different driving types of wheeled vehicle. As a results, the drawbar pulls predicted by the TPPMWV were well matched to the measured ones within the absolute errors of 3.916%(4WD) and 13.31%(2WD) for two different driving types, respectively.

저전력 운영 TPMS에서 충돌 확률 분석을 통한 전송주기 최적화 (Transmission Interval Optimization by Analysis of Collision Probability in Low Power TPMS)

  • 본 TPMS는 타이어의 공기압을 측정하여 운전자에게 현재 타이어의 상태를 알려주는 차량용 전장 시스템이다. TPMS 센서는 소형화, 경량화, 저가격성, 저전력을 위해서 단방향 통신을 사용한다. TPMS 센서 정보의 전송 주기는 운전자에게 제공하는 서비스의 질을 나타내는데, 최적의 전송 주기를 결정하기 위해서 프레임 충돌 확률과 생존 시간(Life time)에 대해서 분석하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 정상모드와 경고모드가 존재하는 저전력 운영 TPMS에서 벤 다이어그램을 이용한 충돌 확률 모델을 설계하였고, 정상모드 전송 주기 대 경고모드 전송 주기에 대한 비율(n)에 따라 생존 시간과 충돌 확률을 분석하였다. 타이어 교체 시기를 5년, 7년으로 가정하고, 생존시간과 충동 확률을 이용하여 최적화하였을 때, 5년에서 $T_{nP}=31$ 초, $T_{wP}$는 2.4초이고, 7년에서 $T_{nP}=71$초, $T_{wP}$는 2.5초가 된다.

Modeling of heated concrete-filled steel tubes with steel fiber and tire rubber under axial compression

  • Concrete-filled steel tubes (CFSTs) are increasingly used as composite sections in structures owing to their excellent load bearing capacity. Therefore, predicting the mechanical behavior of CFST sections under axial compression loading is vital for design purposes. This paper presents the first study on the nonlinear analysis of heated CFSTs with high-strength concrete core containing steel fiber and waste tire rubber under axial compression loading. CFSTs had steel fibers with 0, 1, and 1.5% volume fractions and 0, 5, and 10% rubber particles as sand alternative material. They were subjected to 20, 250, 500, and 750℃ temperatures. Using flow rule and analytical analysis, a model is developed to predict the load bearing capacity of steel tube, and hoop strain-axial strain relationship, and axial stress-volumetric strain relationship of CFSTs. An elastic-plastic analysis method is applied to determine the axial and hoop stresses of the steel tube, considering elastic, yield, and strain hardening stages of steel in its stress-strain curve. The axial stress in the concrete core is determined as the difference between the total experimental axial stress and the axial stress of steel tube obtained from modeling. The results show that steel tube in CFSTs under 750℃ exhibits a higher load bearing contribution compared to those under 20, 250, and 500℃. It is also found that the ratio of load bearing capacity of steel tube at peak point to the load bearing capacity of CFST at peak load is noticeable such that this ratio is in the ranges of 0.21-0.33 and 0.31-0.38 for the CFST specimens with a steel tube thickness of 2 and 3.5 mm, respectively. In addition, after the steel tube yielding, the load bearing capacity of the tube decreases due to the reduction of its axial stiffness and the increase of hoop strain rate, which is in the range of about 20 to 40%.

  • As of these, the exterior design of the public transportation systems, especially electric multiple, tends to mimic advanced country's design rather than design of car shape reflecting cultural and spiritual background. However, in the new transportation system, the design which satisfies the transportation demand must be changed into the design which creates transportation demand. In this respect, this research focuses on the factor's embodiment which is perceived by Korean passenger sympathetic to cultural and spiritual needs. The results of this research are Korean AGT design on rubber tire AGT, steel wheel AGT, LM AGT system and environmental design related to AGT systems.

트랙터의 견인성능 예측 프로그램 개발 (Development of a Tractive Performance Prediction Program of Tractors)

  • In this study, we developed a simulation program for the prediction of tractive performance of a tractor, by applying a widely used empirical model for tractive performance prediction of single tire, Brixius. The tractive performance prediction program can readily predict and estimate tractive performance according to various soil conditions and different specifications of tractors. The program was developed with the considerations of tractor's specification-related parameters (e.g., weight, tire size, and wheelbase of the tractor), a soil parameter (i.e., cone index which represents the soil strength), and operating conditions of the tractor (e.g., theoretical speed and driving types such as 2WD and 4WD). Also, the program was designed to provide tractive performance prediction results of tractors such as gross traction, motion resistance, net traction, and tractive efficiency, in the form of not only numerical values but also graphical visualization. To evaluate the feasibility of the program, we input three different soil conditions (which have different cone indexes each other) and tractor operating conditions to the program and analyzed the tractive performance from each input condition. From the analysis, it can be concluded that the developed program can be effectively utilized to predict the tractive performance under various soil conditions and driving types of tractors with different specifications.

휠로더의 정적/동적 실차 계측 및 강도 평가법에 대한 연구 (Study on the Static/Dynamic Measurements and Structural Analysis Procedure of Wheel Loaders)

  • This paper presents the static and dynamic measurements for the strength and motion characteristics as well as the improved procedures to assess strength of wheel loaders. Two scenarios for static measurement were decided by which cylinder was actuating. The dynamic measurement was performed for two types of motion, that is, simple reciprocation of the working devices and actual working motion including traveling, digging and dumping. The measured items were stresses, cylinder pressures and strokes. Stress induced by bucket working showed higher level than that by boom working. The measured cylinder speeds were relatively superior to the design speeds. Working stress histories were thought to be closer to static rather than dynamic. A fully assembled FE model was prepared for structural analysis. In this paper, a more simple method was suggested to avoid nonlinearity caused by heave of rear frame under digging forces. Also how brake affected on structural behavior and digging force was examined closely in relation with tire pressure. It was confirmed that the overall stress level of wheel loader during turning traveling with loaded bucket was far lower than the yield stress of material.
