Since the panoramic image can overcome the limitation of the viewing angle of the camera and have a wide field of view, it has been studied effectively in the fields of computer vision and stereo camera. In order to generate a panoramic image, stitching images taken by a plurality of general cameras instead of using a wide-angle camera, which is distorted, is widely used because it can reduce image distortion. The image stitching technique creates descriptors of feature points extracted from multiple images, compares the similarities of feature points, and links them together into one image. Each feature point has several hundreds of dimensions of information, and data processing time increases as more images are stitched. In particular, when a panorama is generated on the basis of an image photographed by a plurality of unspecified cameras with respect to an object, the extraction processing time of the overlapping feature points for similar images becomes longer. In this paper, we propose a preprocessing process to efficiently process stitching based on an image obtained from a number of unspecified cameras for one object or environment. In this way, the data processing time can be reduced by pre-grouping images based on camera sensor information and reducing the number of images to be stitched at one time. Later, stitching is done hierarchically to create one large panorama. Through the grouping preprocessing proposed in this paper, we confirmed that the stitching time for a large number of images is greatly reduced by experimental results.
Since the Network based attack Is extensive in the real state of damage, It is very important to detect intrusion quickly at the beginning. But the intrusion detection using supervised learning needs either the preprocessing enormous data or the manager's analysis. Also it has two difficulties to detect abnormal traffic that the manager's analysis might be incorrect and would miss the real time detection. In this paper, we propose a traffic attributes correlation analysis mechanism based on self-organizing maps(SOM) for the real-time intrusion detection. The proposed mechanism has three steps. First, with unsupervised learning build a map cluster composed of similar traffic. Second, label each map cluster to divide the map into normal traffic and abnormal traffic. In this step there is a rule which is created through the correlation analysis with SOM. At last, the mechanism would the process real-time detecting and updating gradually. During a lot of experiments the proposed mechanism has good performance in real-time intrusion to combine of unsupervised learning and supervised learning than that of supervised learning.

In recent years, mobile phone has experienced an extremely fast evolution. It is equipped with high-quality color displays, high resolution cameras, and real-time accelerated 3D graphics. In addition, some other features are includes GPS sensor and Digital Compass, etc. This evolution advent significantly helps the application developers to use the power of smart-phones, to create a rich environment that offers a wide range of services and exciting possibilities. To date mobile AR in outdoor research there are many popular location-based AR services, such Layar and Wikitude. These systems have big limitation the AR contents hardly overlaid on the real target. Another research is context-based AR services using image recognition and tracking. The AR contents are precisely overlaid on the real target. But the real-time performance is restricted by the retrieval time and hardly implement in large scale area. In our work, we exploit to combine advantages of location-based AR with context-based AR. The system can easily find out surrounding landmarks first and then do the recognition and tracking with them. The proposed system mainly consists of two major parts-landmark browsing module and annotation module. In landmark browsing module, user can view an augmented virtual information (information media), such as text, picture and video on their smart-phone viewfinder, when they pointing out their smart-phone to a certain building or landmark. For this, landmark recognition technique is applied in this work. SURF point-based features are used in the matching process due to their robustness. To ensure the image retrieval and matching processes is fast enough for real time tracking, we exploit the contextual device (GPS and digital compass) information. This is necessary to select the nearest and pointed orientation landmarks from the database. The queried image is only matched with this selected data. Therefore, the speed for matching will be significantly increased. Secondly is the annotation module. Instead of viewing only the augmented information media, user can create virtual annotation based on linked data. Having to know a full knowledge about the landmark, are not necessary required. They can simply look for the appropriate topic by searching it with a keyword in linked data. With this, it helps the system to find out target URI in order to generate correct AR contents. On the other hand, in order to recognize target landmarks, images of selected building or landmark are captured from different angle and distance. This procedure looks like a similar processing of building a connection between the real building and the virtual information existed in the Linked Open Data. In our experiments, search range in the database is reduced by clustering images into groups according to their coordinates. A Grid-base clustering method and user location information are used to restrict the retrieval range. Comparing the existed research using cluster and GPS information the retrieval time is around 70~80ms. Experiment results show our approach the retrieval time reduces to around 18~20ms in average. Therefore the totally processing time is reduced from 490~540ms to 438~480ms. The performance improvement will be more obvious when the database growing. It demonstrates the proposed system is efficient and robust in many cases.
Monitoring is used to see if a real-time system provides a service on time. Generally, monitoring for real-time focuses on investigating the current status of a real-time system. To support a stable performance of a real-time system, it should have not only a function to see the current status of real-time process but also a function to predict executions of real-time processes, however. The legacy prediction model has some limitation to apply it to a real-time monitoring. First, it performs a static prediction after a real-time process finished. Second, it needs a statistical pre-analysis before a prediction. Third, transition probability and data about clustering is not based on the current data. We propose the execution prediction model based on learning algorithm to solve these problems and apply it to real-time monitoring. This model gets rid of unnecessary pre-processing and supports a precise prediction based on current data. In addition, this supports multi-level prediction by a trend analysis of past execution data. Most of all, We designed the model to support dynamic prediction which is performed within a real-time process' execution. The results from some experiments show that the judgment accuracy is greater than 80% if the size of a training set is set to over 10, and, in the case of the multi-level prediction, that the prediction difference of the multi-level prediction is minimized if the number of execution is bigger than the size of a training set. The execution prediction model proposed in this model has some limitation that the model used the most simplest learning algorithm and that it didn't consider the multi-regional space model managing CPU, memory and I/O data. The execution prediction model based on a learning algorithm proposed in this paper is used in some areas related to real-time monitoring and control.
For effective water quality management, it is necessary to secure reliable water quality information. There are many variables that need to be included in a comprehensive practical monitoring network : representative sampling locations, suitable sampling frequencies, water quality variable selection, and budgetary and logistical constraints are examples, especially sampling location is considered to be the most important issues. Until now, monitoring network design for water quality management was set according to the qualitative judgments, which is a problem of representativeness. In this paper, we propose network design system for optimal water quality monitoring using the scientific statistical techniques. Network design system is made based on the SAS program of version 9.2 and configured with simple input system and user friendly outputs considering the convenience of users. It applies to Excel data format for ease to use and all data of sampling location is distinguished to sheet base. In this system, time plots, dendrogram, and scatter plots are shown as follows: Time plots of water quality variables are graphed for identifying variables to classify sampling locations significantly. Similarities of sampling locations are calculated using euclidean distances of principal component variables and dimension coordinate of multidimensional scaling method are calculated and dendrogram by clustering analysis is represented and used for users to choose an appropriate number of clusters. Scatter plots of principle component variables are shown for clustering information with sampling locations and representative location.
In this paper, the fast encoding algorithm in High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) encoder was studied. For the encoding efficiency, the current HEVC reference software is divided the input image into Coding Tree Unit (CTU). then, it should be re-divided into CU up to maximum depth in form of quad-tree for RDO (Rate-Distortion Optimization) in encoding precess. But, it is one of the reason why complexity is high in the encoding precess. In this paper, to reduce the high complexity in the encoding process, it proposed the method by determining the maximum depth of the CU using a hierarchical clustering at the pre-processing. The hierarchical clustering results represented an average combination of motion vectors (MV) on neighboring blocks. Experimental results showed that the proposed method could achieve an average of 16% time saving with minimal BD-rate loss at 1080p video resolution. When combined the previous fast algorithm, the proposed method could achieve an average 45.13% time saving with 1.84% BD-rate loss.

While utilizing high resolution satellite image for land use classification has been popularized, object-oriented classification has been adapted as an affordable classification method rather than conventional statistical classification. The aim of this study is to extract the paddy field area using object-oriented classification with time series NDVI from high-resolution satellite images, and the RapidEye satellite images of Jaeryung-gun in North Korea were used. For the implementation of object-oriented classification, creating objects by setting of scale and color factors was conducted, then 3 different land use categories including paddy field, forest and water bodies were extracted from the objects applying the variation of time-series NDVI. The unclassified objects which were not involved into the previous extraction classified into 6 categories using unsupervised classification by clustering analysis. Finally, the unsuitable paddy field area were assorted from the topographic factors such as elevation and slope. As the results, about 33.6 % of the total area (32313.1 ha) were classified to the paddy field (10847.9 ha) and 851.0 ha was classified to the unsuitable paddy field based on the topographic factors. The user accuracy of paddy field classification was calculated to 83.3 %, and among those, about 60.0 % of total paddy fields were classified from the time-series NDVI before the unsupervised classification. Other land covers were classified as to upland(5255.2 ha), forest (10961.0 ha), residential area and bare land (3309.6 ha), and lake and river (1784.4 ha) from this object-oriented classification.
Industrial agglomeration is an old theme in economic geography and many studies have been devoted to this topic. But only few have empirically looked at the time trend of industrial agglomeration. This study measured agglomeration of U.S. industries over last 29 years and measurement results indicated that industrial clustering has occurred during the study period in all study industries without a common time trend shared amongst the study industries. The agglomeration levels then were plugged in to investigate causalities, i.e. causal relations, around industrial agglomeration. Three variables were selected to see causal relations with agglomeration levels based on literatures, and our focus was given to the causality between transport network and agglomeration. Causal relation from transport to agglomeration was found in various industries and this supports the argument that the development of transportation influences industrial agglomeration. At the same time inverse and bi-directional causalities were also revealed implying more complex relationship between these two.

This paper presents a data analysis method for the taxi telematics system which generates a greate deal of location history data. By the record consist of the basic GPS receiver-generated fields, device-added fields such as taxi operation status, and framework-attached fields such as matched link Identifier and position ratio in a link, each taxi can be represented by a state diagram. The transition and the state definition enable us to efficiently extract such information as pick-up time, pick-up distance, dispatch time, and dispatch distance. The analysis result can help to verify the efficiency of a specific taxi dispatch algorithm, while the analysis framework can invite a new challenging service including future traffic estimation, trajectory clustering, and so on.

This study is to evaluate the drought-related bigdata characteristics published from South Korean by developing crawler. The 5 years (2013 ~ 2017) drought-related posted articles were collected from Korean internet search engine 'NAVER' which contains 13 main and 81 local daily newspapers. During the 5 years period, total 40,219 news articles including 'drought' word were found using crawler. To filter the homonyms liken drought to soccer goal drought in sports, money drought economics, and policy drought in politics often used in South Korea, the quality control was processed and 47.8 % articles were filtered. After, the 20,999 (52.2 %) drought news articles of this study were classified into four categories of water deficit (WD), water security and support (WSS), economic damage and impact (EDI), and environmental and sanitation impact (ESI) with 27, 15, 13, and 18 drought-related keywords in each category. The WD, WSS, EDI, and ESI occupied 41.4 %, 34.5 %, 14.8 %, and 9.3 % respectively. The drought articles were mostly posted in June 2015 and June 2017 with 22.7 % (15,097) and 15.9 % (10,619) respectively. The drought news articles were spatiotemporally compared with SPI (Standardized Precipitation Index) and RDI (Reservoir Drought Index) were calculated. They were classified into administration boundaries of 8 main cities and 9 provinces in South Korea because the drought response works based on local government unit. The space-time clustering between news articles (WD, WSS, EDI, and ESI) and indices (SPI and RDI) were tried how much they have correlation each other. The spatiotemporal clusters detection was applied using SaTScan software (Kulldorff, 2015). The retrospective and prospective cluster analyses were conducted for past and present time to understand how much they are intensive in clusters. The news articles of WD, WSS and EDI had strong clusters in provinces, and ESI in cities.
