분산 제어시스템에서 3가지 형태의 실시간 데이터를 고려하는 양극단 스케줄링 방법 (End-to-End Scheduling Method Considering 3-type RT-Data in Distributed Control Systems)

  • In recent years, distributed control systems(DCS) using fieldbus such as CAN have been applied to process systems but it is very difficult to design the DCS while guaranteeing the given end-to-end constraints such as precedence constraints, time constraints, and periods and priorities of tasks and messages. This paper presents a scheduling method to guarantee the given end-to-end constraints considering aperiodic, periodic and non-real-time message and task simultaneously. The presented scheduling method is the integrated one considering both tasks executed in each node and messages transmitted via the network and is designed to be applied to a general DCS that has multiple loops with several types of constraints, where each loop consists of sensor nodes with multiple sensors, actuator nodes with multiple actuators and controller nodes with multiple tasks.

  • 階層構造 COMPUTER Network을 通한 工程制御로 Processing을 分數하여 Fault tolerance를 極大化시키며 複雜하고 多樣한 變數의 相互關係를 週期的으로 監視制御하는 分散制御 Processor JOB은 그 週期와 實行時間으로 定義할 수 있다. 모든 JOB에 대하여 Tree structure인 關係를 가진 subset들로 구성하여 이에 JOB Scheduling Algorithm을 求하여 본 결과 FCFS(Fist Come/First Service)인 Schedule 보다 Processor의 利用에 있어 Loose Time을 減少시키고 處理 可能時間 確保에 有利하였다.

A Distributed Sequential Link Schedule Combined with Routing in Wireless Mesh Networks

  • This letter proposes a new distributed scheduling scheme combined with routing to support the quality of service of real-time applications in wireless mesh networks. Next, this letter drives average end-to-end delay of the proposed scheduling scheme that sequentially schedules the slots on a path. Finally, this letter simulates the time division multiple access network for performance comparison. From the simulation results, when the average number of hops is 2.02, 2.66, 4.1, 4.75, and 6.3, the proposed sequential scheduling scheme reduces the average end-to-end delay by about 28%, 10%, 17%, 27%, and 30%, respectively, compared to the conventional random scheduling scheme.

  • This paper considers the rail crane scheduling problem with minimizing the sum of the range of order completion time and make-span of rail crane simultaneously. The range of order completion time implies the difference between the maximum of completion time and minimum of start time. Make-span refers to the time when all the tasks are completed. At a rail terminal, logistics companies wish to concentrate on their task of loading and unloading container on/from rail freight train at a time in order to increase the efficiency of their equipment such as reach stacker. In other words, they want to reduce the range of their order completion time. As a part of efforts to meet the needs, the crane schedule is rearranged based on worker's experience. We formulate the problem as a mixed integer program. To validate the effectiveness of the model, computational experiments were conducted using a set of data randomly generated.

  • Most of linear time-varying(LTV) systems except special cases have no general solution for the dynamic equations. Thus, it is difficult to design time-varying controllers in analytic ways, and other control design approaches such as robust control have been applied to control design for uncertain LTI systems which are the approximation of LTV systems have been generally used instead. A robust control method such as quantitative feedback theory(QFT) has an advantage of guaranteeing the stability and the performance specification against plant parameter uncertainties in frozen time sense. However, if these methods are applied to the approximated linear time-invariant(LTI) plants which have large uncertainty, the designed control will be constructed in complicated forms and usually not suitable for fast dynamic performance. In this paper, as a method to enhance the fast dynamic performance, the approximated uncertainty of time-varying parameters are reduced by the proposed QFT parameter-scheduling control design based on radial basis function (RBF) networks for LTV systems with bounded time-varying parameters.

조선산업에서의 블록 배량계획과 일정계획에 관한 연구 (A Study on Loading and Scheduling of Assembly Block in Shipbuilding)

  • The shipbuilding scheduling has many possible alternatives because of its long time horizon and a lot of jobs, so it is required that the scheduling system can generate and search feasible alternatives rapidly. The scheduling in the assembly shop is initiated by allocating, namely loading, the assembly blocks to each shop. In this step, the resource capacities (such as available man/hour, available crane) of each shop must be considered. The result of loading without above consideration can make the scheduling result based on that infeasible or worse one. In this paper, we developed the optimal scheduling system of shipbuilding, specifically for loading and scheduling of assembly block, using ILOG Solver/Scheduler. ILOG Solver/Scheduler is a general-purposed commercial software which supports to find a feasible or optimal solution using object oriented technique and constraints satisfaction programming, given constraints and objectives. Also, in order to enhance the system performance, we conducted various experiments of ILOG search strategies. The experimental results showed that the impact of search strategies is significant.

  • Dynamic task scheduling is one of the most popular research topics in the cloud computing field. The cloud scheduler dynamically provides VM resources to variable cloud tasks with different scheduling strategies in cloud computing. In this study, we utilized a valid model to describe the dynamic changes of both computing facilities (such as hardware updating) and request task queuing. We built a novel approach called Policy Iteration Scheduling (PIS) to globally optimize the independent task scheduling scheme and minimize the total execution time of priority tasks. We performed experiments with randomly generated cloud task sets and varied the performance of VM resources using Poisson distributions. The results show that PIS outperforms other popular schedulers in a typical cloud computing environment.

  • Usually the static scheduling algorithms such as DMS(Deadline Monotonic Scheduling) or RMS(Rate Monotonic Scheduling) are used for CAN scheduling due to its ease with implementation. However, due to their inherently low utilization of network media, some dynamic scheduling approaches have been studied to enhance the utilization. In case of dynamic scheduling algorithms, two considerations are needed. The one is a priority inversion due to rough deadline encoding into stricted arbitration fields of CAN. The other is an arbitration delay due to the non-preemptive feature of CAN. 다중스레드 모델에서 최단 프레임 우선 스레드 스케줄링 알고리즘 (Shortest-Frame-First Scheduling Algorithm of Threads On Multithreaded Models)

  • 기존 다중스레드 모델에서의 주로 사용되는 선입선출 스케줄링 알고리즘은 실행의 지역성을 고려하지 않았기 때문에 높은 문맥전환 비용과 상대적으로 수행 시간이 짧은 프레임의 지연이 야기되어 일부 환경에서는 실행의 효율성을 떨어뜨리는 요인이 된다. 선입선출 스케줄링 알고리즘의 문제를 개선한 TAM의 퀀텀 단위 스케줄링 방법은 퀀텀 단위의 우선권을 너무 강조하므로 프로그램 실행의 병렬성을 제한시켜 프로세서의 활용도가 저하될 수 있고, 프레임 내에 있는 스레드들 간의 동기화로 인한 지연이 발생될 경우 대기 시간이 길어질 수 있다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 위의 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 컴파일러에 의해 생성된 스레드의 크기와 동기화 정보를 이용하여 상대적으로 가장 짧은 프레임의 실행 시간을 예상하여 이를 우선적으로 처리하는 최단 프레임 우선(shortest-frame-first) 스케줄링 알고리즘을 제안한다. 다중스레드 모델은 실행의 일부분 특히 동기화 처리를 컴파일러에 의존하는 방식을 취함으로써 작업 시간에 대한 정확한 예상과 일관성을 쉽게 이용할 수 있다. 제안한 최단 프레임 우선 스케줄링 알고리즘을 선입선출 스케줄링 알고리즘과 비교한 실험 결과, 실행시간의 평가에서는 평균 15% 정도 실행 시간을 단축시켰고 프로세서 활용도의 평가에서는 5% 정도의 성능 향상을 얻었다. 그리고 대기 시간의 평가에서는 평균 24% 정도의 대기 시간을 줄였다.

  • 건축공사의 고층화 추세에 따라 반복공정의 수가 증가하고, 마감공사에서의 관련 공종 수가 증가하여 작업 연속성에 대한 계획 및 공사관리가 중요하게 인식되고 있으며, 이러한 마감공사의 효율적 은용을 위해 각 작업을 일정한 리듬으로 반복되도록 함에 따라 공정의 개선을 이루고자 하는 기법이 택트공정관리이다. 그러나 택트공정관리는 세부공정 및 작업구역에 따른 상이한 시공속도와 이로 인한 선행공정의 작업지연 등 비효율적 요소 때문에 적용에 어려움이 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 작업별 소요시간의 동기화(同期化)를 통한 개선효과를 파악하기 위해 기존의 공동주택 창호공사를 대상으로 작업방식의 세부작업단위 및 작업인원 수를 작업시간의 동기적(同期的)연결 및 최소 요구인원 수를 기준으로 조정한 후, 공기단축 효과를 분석하였다.
