In this paper, various time series analysis models and machine learning models are presented for long-term prediction of export growth rate, and the prediction performance is compared and reviewed by RMSE and MAE. Export growth rate is one of the major economic indicators to evaluate the economic status. And It is also used to predict economic forecast. The export growth rate may have a negative (-) value as well as a positive (+) value. Therefore, Instead of using the ReLU function, which is often used for time series prediction of deep learning models, the PReLU function, which can have a negative (-) value as an output value, was used as the activation function of deep learning models. The time series prediction performance of each model for three types of data was compared and reviewed. The forecast data of long-term prediction of export growth rate was deduced by three forecast methods such as a fixed forecast method, a recursive forecast method and a rolling forecast method. As a result of the forecast, the traditional time series analysis model, ARDL, showed excellent performance, but as the time period of learning data increases, the performance of machine learning models including LSTM was relatively improved.
Java has been increasingly used in programming for real-time systems. However, some of Java's features such as automatic memory management and dynamic compilation are harmful to time predictability. If these problems are not solved properly then it can fundamentally limit the usage of Java for real-time systems, especially for hard real-time systems that require very high time predictability. In this paper, we propose to exploit multicore computing in order to reduce the timing unpredictability that is caused by dynamic compilation and adaptive optimization. Our goal is to retain high performance comparable to that of traditional dynamic compilation, while at the same time, obtain better time predictability for Java virtual machine (JVM). We have studied pre-compilation techniques to utilize another core more efficiently, preoptimization on another core (PoAC) scheme to replace the adaptive optimization system (AOS) in Jikes JVM and the counter based optimization (CBO). Our evaluation reveals that the proposed approaches are able to attain high performance while greatly reducing the variation of the execution time for Java applications.
In conventional perturbation estimators such as disturbance observers(DOB) [1, 2] or time-delayed controllers(TDC) [3{5}, the low pass filter(so-called Q-filter) plays an important role in the stability and performance. However, a general design guideline or analysis for the Q-filter has not been researched yet. In this paper, a guideline for the design of discrete Q-filter is suggested in terms of the analysis of the relationship between the filter parameters and stability performance robustness in discrete-time domain. The analysis clarifies the discrete-time effect of the perturbation estimator and provides a transparent relationship between performance and robustness depending ...
In this paper, the performance of Mini MAP architecture in realtime application is analyzed by analytic methods. The approximate equations for token rotation time and waiting time are obtained and using these equations network. performance is evaluated. According to the results obtained, Mini MAP architecture has good realtime performance and can be used to many real time applications.
In computer-mediated idea generation where contributions can be anonymous, the ability to accurately monitor performances is limited, inducing social loafing. Prior research has suggested that social loafing is likely an important factor in reducing task performance. Researchers have theorized that loafing could be minimized if clear performance feedback is provided. Our prior study evidences a substantial performance gain by the provision of real time performance information about who is contributing and who is not. However, our prior study incorporated the quantity feedback only to create a larger pool of ideas based on the long-standing assumption (i.e., quantity breeds quality), not considering the quality feedback. As a result, taking advantage of anonymity in the form of pseudonymity, individuals in almost all groups exhibited a tendency of self-presentation by capitalizing on ideas of which quality was low and even frivolous (i.e., junk comments) toward the later stages of the session. Thus, we have learned that the quantity performance feedback alone does not have enough restrictiveness to consistently control the performance behavior throughout the session. Since a process chart allows participants to monitor process variation by comparing new performance data to past performance data, we incorporated real-time visual process performance feedback to reveal performance histories by connecting the sequence of idea quality scores in a time-series format. Using this environment, a laboratory experiment was conducted with five-member groups that examined the influence of both identifiability (i.e., anonymity versus pseudonymity) and process performance feedback (i.e., yes or no) in a $2{\times}2$ factorial design. The result showed that groups in the process performance feedback treatment outperformed groups in the no feedback treatment. Additionally, process performance feedback and identifiability interacted such that groups in the process performance feedback/pseudonymity treatment had the highest performance. The implications of these findings for future research, as well as the implications for the design of group idea generation procedures are discussed.
The design problem of optimal constant PIDM (proportional-integral-derivative and measurable variable) feedback controller for linear time-invariannt systems is investigated with the time-weighted quadratic performance index. Necessary conditions for an optimality of the controller are derived and an algorithm for computing the optimal feedback gain is presented. It is shown via example that the design mithod using the time-weighted quadratic performance index improves the transient responses of the closed-loop system.
An optimization problem minimizing n given time-weighted performance index for discrete-time linear multi-input systems is investigated for the prespecified closed-loop eigenvalues. Necessary conditions for an optimality of the controller that satisfies the specified closed-loop eigenvalues are derived. A computational algorithm solving the optimal constant feedback gain is presented and a numerical example is given to show the effect of a time-weighted performance index on the transient responses.

A spherical Earth surface is used fur realistic analysis of the geometrical performance characteristics about the variation of satellite altitude and 2-dimensional line-of-sight(LOS) tilt angle in a satellite imager using Time Delay and Integration(TDI) technique with fixed integration time. In the spherical Earth surface model TDI synchronization using LOS tilt is investigated as a solution to compensate geometric performance degradation due to altitude decrease. This result can be used fur a TDI CCD imager with variable integration time in a certain as well.
In modern computer architectures, caches are widely used to shorten the gap between processor speed and memory access time. However, caches are time-unpredictable, and thus can significantly increase the complexity of worst-case execution time (WCET) analysis, which is crucial for real-time systems. This paper proposes a time-predictable two-level scratchpad-based architecture and an ILP-based static memory objects assignment algorithm to support real-time computing. Moreover, to exploit the load/store latencies that are known statically in this architecture, we study a Scratch-pad Sensitive Scheduling method to further improve the performance. Our experimental results indicate that the performance and energy consumption of the two-level scratchpad-based architecture are superior to the similar cache based architecture for most of the benchmarks we studied.
