This paper deals with the H$_{\infty}$ control problems for discrete-time linear systems with time-varying delays in states. The existence condition and the design method of the H$_{\infty}$ state feedback controller are given. In this paper, the H$_{\infty}$ control law is assumed to be a memoryless state feedback, and the upper-bound of time-varying delay and S-procedure are used. Through some changes of variables and Schur complement, the obtained sufficient condition can be rewritten as an LMI(linear matrix inequality) form in terms of all variables.

This paper presents the method for $H_{\infty}$ fuzzy controller design of discrete-time fuzzy Markovian jump systems with state and input time delays. The Takagi and Sugeno fuzzy model is employed to represent a delayed nonlinear system that possesses Markovian jump parameters. A stochastic mode dependent Lyapunov function is employed to analyze the stability and $H_{\infty}$ disturbance attenuation performance of the fuzzy Markovian jump systems with state and input time delays. A sufficient condition for the existence of fuzzy $H_{\infty}$ controller is given in terms of matrix inequalities. Also numerical example is presented to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed design method.

This paper deals with fuzzy $H_{\infty}$ filtering problem of discrete-time nonlinear Markovian jump systems with state and output time delays. The purpose is to design fuzzy $H_{\infty}$ filter such that the corresponding estimation error system with time delays and initial state uncertainties is stochastically stable and satisfies an $H_{\infty}$ performance level. A sufficient condition for the existence of fuzzy $H_{\infty}$ filter is given in terms of matrix inequalities. In order to relax conservatism, a stochastic mode dependent fuzzy Lyapunov function is employed. The Lyapunov function not only is dependent on the operation modes of system, but also includes the fuzzy membership functions. An illustrative example is finally given to show the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed method.

Indian Construction industry is large, volatile, and requires tremendous capital outlays. Typically, the work offers low rates of return in relation to the amount of risk involved. A unique element of risk in the industry is the manner in which disputes and claims are woven through the fibre of the construction process. Delay is generally acknowledged as the most common, costly, complex and risky problem encountered in construction projects. Because of the overriding importance of time for both the Owner and the Contractor, it is the source of frequent disputes and claims leading to lawsuits. The growing rate of delays is adversely affecting the timely delivery of construction projects. Presently construction industries are facing a lot of problems, considering that a paper assess construction stakeholder's perception to the causes of delays and its effects on project delivery. And also one case study is considered in this paper to elicit responses from construction stakeholders. The primary aim of this paper is to identify the perceptions of the different parties regarding causes of delays, the allocation of responsibilities and the types of delays, and method of minimizing the construction delays.

In the construction process, there are many change orders differing to the initial contracts came from the social needs and environmental changes. Most of them will impact to the construction process so that its effects occur project delays. Time extension and liquidated damage in the construction process come from schedule delay whether it is excusable or not non-excusable by the owner. However, those become the delay claims if the owner and the contractor are not agreed on this situation. One of the most important thing on the delay claims is the calculation of delay. The purpose of this study is to present the method of the time delay calculation by comparison of As-Planned schedule, As-Built schedule including all delay and As-Built schedule absent owner delay.
This article investigates how to adaptively predict the time-varying metrology delay that could realistically occur in the semiconductor manufacturing practice. Metrology delays pose a great challenge for the existing run-to-run (R2R) controllers, driving the process output significantly away from target if not adequately predicted. First, the expected asymptotic double exponentially weighted moving average (DEWMA) control output, by using the EWMA and recursive least squares (RLS) prediction methods, is derived. It has been found that the relationships between the expected control output and target in both estimation methods are parallel, and six cases are addressed. Within the context of time-varying metrology delay, this paper presents a modified recursive least squares-linear trend (RLS-LT) controller, in combination with runs test. Simulated single input-single output (SISO) R2R processes subject to various time-varying metrology delay scenarios are used as a testbed to evaluate the proposed algorithms. The simulation results indicate that the modified RLS-LT controller can yield the process output more accurately on target with smaller mean squared error (MSE) than the original RLSLT controller that only deals with constant metrology delays.
In this paper, the problem on periodic solutions of the bidirectional associative memory neural networks with both periodic coefficients and periodic time-varying delays is discussed. By using degree theory, inequality technique and Lyapunov functional, we establish the existence, uniqueness, and global asymptotic stability of a periodic solution. The obtained results of stability are less restrictive than previously known criteria, and the hypotheses for the boundedness and monotonicity on the activation functions are removed.

We study the decentralized stabilization problem of linear time-invariant large-scale interconnected systems with delays without any system structure. We obtain sufficient stability conditions for interconnected systems which are equivalent to disturbance attenuation of some scaled system. A decentralized output-feedback controller is obtained using standard H$\infty$ control theory. The obtained controller is delay-independent. We also obtain an observer for the interconnected system.
This paper is concerned with the problem of designing a guaranteed cost state feedback controller for singular systems with time-varying delays. The sufficient condition for the existence of a guaranteed cost controller, the controller design method, and the optimization problem to get the upper bound of guaranteed cost function are proposed by LMI(linear matrix inequality), singular value decomposition, Schur complements, and change of variables. Since the obtained sufficient conditions can be changed to LMI form, all solutions including controller gain and upper bound of guaranteed cost function can be obtained simultaneously.
The Real-time Distributed Control Systems(RDCS) consist of several distributed control processes which share a network medium to exchange their data. Performance of feedback control loops in the RDCS is subject to the network-induced delays from sensor to controller and from controller to actuator. The network-induced delays are directly dependent upon the data sampling times of the control components which share a network medium. In this study, a scheduling algorithm of determining data sampling times is developed using the window concept, where the sampling data from the control components dynamically share a limited number of windows.
