틸팅차량 틸팅제어장치 연구 (The Study of Tilting Control System for Tilting Vehicle)

  • Tilting trains are now an established feature of railway operations throughout the world. For intercity traffic, tilt provides operators with increasing speeds, and therefore enhanced competitiveness, on existing routes where insufficient traffic or a lack of funds precludes the construction of a dedicated new high-speed railway. Appling the tilting train, we can expect 30% of speed up on existing lines, but the stability of the electric current would be low because of tilting the train. Also, the spark between the catenary and pantagraph cause environmental problems such as noise, radio wave malfunction. Therefore, the tilting on pantagraph for the power suppling device is very essential for stable electric power supply.

  • A measurement system was developed in this study. It conducts on-line testing and evaluation of tilting train express(TTX). The measurement system is installed in each train for the performance measurement during the test run. It is composed of software part, hardware part and can measure various signals such as vehicle velocity, catenary voltage, motor temperature. The software controls the hardware of the measurement system, performs the analysis and calculation of measurement data and acts as interface between users and the system hardware. The hardware is consisted of 7 DAMs(Data Acquisition Modules) and 6 monitoring modules.

  • The current collection system, pantograph, is one of the important subsystems in electric train system, because of it's fatal function and role of supplying power to the train system. Generally, the function of current collection system is evaluated by loss of contact rate between pantograph and contact wire in catenary by measuring arcs, or by statistical method of evaluating minimum mean contact force. The Korean Tiling Train(TTX) has been manufactured by KRRI and Korean domestic companies and is preparing the trial running test of itself. In this paper, we introduce our successful achievement, measuring system and applied methods of dynamic characteristics for the tilting pantograph, developed of by our own technology.

  • The concern on sustainable development is increased to solve the global warming which is environmental issue over nations. Sustainable development is the concept of minimizing the consumption of resource and environment burden. In transportation, there are some trials of shifting to green transportation mode through low energy consumption and high efficiency. Korea Tilting Train eXpress (TTX) can run higher speed than existing train and save energy through light weight. In this study, Tilting bogie, the core equipment of tilting train, was compared with that of existing train.

  • This study is to establish design method and evaluation technology for drive system appropriate to high speed tilting train. The transmission system of high speed train serves in the severe condition compared with those of KHST(G7), namely, they have to transmit high power to run with high speed and they have to make maximum use of the limited space. This paper reports the reviews and results of the design and evaluation method for reduction gearbox of high speed tilting train and discusses various design items and methods about assembly and parts of reduction gearbox.

  • The maximum speed of the conventional railway rolling-stock which is restrained to 150km/h will be increased to 200km/h with the development of korean tilting train. The improvement of quality for railway wheel which is closely connected with the safety of train is needed. On the one hand, the speed limit of the wheel standard for the conventional rolling-stock is 150km/h. Thus, a study on the safety of wheel structure, test items and criteria is needed to apply this standard to tilting train wheel. This study is started to present the improvement scheme and to extend the speed limit for conventional wheel standard. For this, we studied the safety of wheel structure, wheel material tests and the criteria for wheel standard and show the results

  • Tilting train has been developed to increase the operational speed of the trains on conventional lines which have many curves. This train are tilted at curves to compensate for unbalanced carbody centrifugal acceleration to a greater extent than compensation produced by the track cant, so that passengers do not feel centrifugal acceleration and thus trains can run at higher speed at curves. This paper show that results of normal capacity calculations of the electrical equipments such as Main transformer, PWM converter, VVVF inverter, traction motor in TTX(tilting train express) with maximum operation speed 180 km/h
