Comparative Study of Effects of Illumination with Xenon or Sulfur Lamp on Development of Wheat Plants

  • The emission of microwave sulfur lamp is mainly composed of visible light. This lamp producing little infrared radiation, has high light efficiency, long lifespan and less power consumption. In comparison with xenon lamp, growing under sulfur lamp apparently postponed jointing, increased the number of tillers, accelerated root growth of wheat. Relatively, xenon lamp evidently promoted heading and grain maturation. The development characteristics of wheat plant under sulfur lamp were more similar with that in natural condition.

농업용수 재이용을 위한 논벼 생육시험 (Cultivating Rice with Reclaimed Wastewater)

  • This paper presents a recent finding from the progressed research efforts on the application for wastewater reclamation and reuse for agricultural uses. Reclaimed effluents from the Suwon municipal sewer treatment plant has been used to irrigate paddy rice at experimental plots. Three levels of reclamation treatments, filtration, disinfection, and the both, and one treatment to apply heavily polluted stream flow are compared to the control which uses groundwater for irrigation. The rice growth indicated by plant height and tiller number, and the yields were compared statistically among the five treatments. The results showed that the rice yields from polluted stream were greatest, and the control showed the lowest yields. And the first year experiment indicated that the agricultural reuse is promising.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of T-P concentrations in irrigation water on the growth, yield, and grain quality of rice. It acquire fundamental knowledges to set up irrigation water quality standards. The pot experiment was conducted with 5 treatments using irrigation waters. It consisted of various total phosphorus concentrations(control, 1, 2, 5, 10mg/L) and replicated four times with randomized block design. The results of this study showed that as T-P concentrations in irrigation water increases, plant height tended to increase. Dry weight of rice plant at T-P 10mg/L was significantly higher than the control. However, T-P in irrigation water did not affect plant height, tiller number, plant dry weight, yield, and quality of rice.

  • 남부 지방의 답전작 재배에 적합한 왕골의 재식밀도를 구명코자 다수성 품종으로 선발된 광산조생종을 공시하여 시험했다. 그 결과, 경장, 분얼수, 출수된 경수, 경태 등의 수량구성형 질은 18${\times}$18 cm 이식구에서 가장 우수하였고, 건피수량, 건수 수량에서도 18${\times}$18 cm 이식구에서 가장 우수하였다.

Mechanized Seeding Methods of Hybrid Rapeseed for Double Cropping System in Paddy

  • In order to select the seeding machine for mechanizing cultivation of rapeseed in southern areas of Korea, three different seeding machines, ridge rotary, power tiller ridge rotary, tractor ridge rotary were used for sowing one of the high yielding rapeseed cv. Hybrid with five different seeding methods. Seeding of ridge rotary was reduced the seeding effort with 45% and yield components such as plant height, ear length, number of branches and pods, pod length and seed setting rate were higher. The seeding of ridge rotary also was showed highest seed yield. On the basis of time requirement for seeding, vegetative and yield parameters ridge rotary seeding machine was a suitable seeding machine for rapeseed cultivation at the southern area of Korea.

점토광물(맥반석) 및 규산질비료시용이 수도의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Mineral Stone and Silicate Fertilizer Application on the Growth and Yield of Rice Plant)

  • 맥반석을 벼에 시용하였을 때 벼의 초장 및 분벽경수 는 증가하였고 건물율 및 근발생율도 증가 하였다. 맥반석을 시용함으로서 벼의 초장이 6~9cm정도 단간화되었으며 총분벽경수 및 유효분벽경수도 현저하게 증가하였다. 벼의 정조중에 있어서는 맥반석 100kg시용구에서 무처리구보다 19.9%가 더 증수되었고 500kg 시용구에서는 15.5%가 증수되어 시용량에 관계없이 맥반석은 벼의 수량증가에 효과적이었다.

  • This research was carried out to determine the sowing rate and row distance in Edirne province of Thrace Region in 1993 season. According to the results of some important characteristics of sorghum and their interactions were statistically significant. In Havsa and Uzunk'opr& the plant height were 70.36 and 95.28cm respectively, within each sowing rate were not significant. Number of tiller were not significant in distance and individual location Increasing the sowing rate kom I to 3 kg/da and the location Havsa and Umnkoprii resulted in significant stem diameter variation. Variation in 6-esh fodder yield has been found significant in row distance sowing rate and location 1 kglda seed rate with 30 cm row distance together are recommended to the farmer community to obtain the optimum profit.

Comparison of Nitrogen Application Methods at the 4th Leaf Stage in Direct-Seeded Rice Field

  • Two methods of nitrogen application at the 4th leaf stage were evaluated in direct-seeding rice cultivation on dry paddy soil: one was the top dressing of nitrogen on dry paddy condition before irrigation (TNDP) for labor saving, and the other was the top dressing of nitrogen on dry paddy with mechanical rotavation of the inter-row space (TNDPIR) for increasing the efficiency of nitrogen. To evaluate these two application methods, leaf chlorophyll contents, growth characteristics and yields were compared with two conventional methods, basal application (BA) and top dressing on flooded paddy condition at the 4th leaf stage (TNFP). The SPAD value of rice in TNDP was similar with that in TNFP throughout the whole growth stage of rice. Also, there were no differences in rice growth and yield between the two methods. However, in TNDPIR, the SPAD value was the highest during tillering stage among the four application methods, and the tiller number, LAI at heading stage and the panicle number were higher than the two conventional methods.

비가림과 점적 관수재배가 양파의 채종량에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Trickle Irrigation Culture and Catch in the Rain on Seed Production of Onion)

  • 점적관수(點滴灌水) 재배(栽培)가 양파의 채종량(採種量)에 미치는 영향(영향)을 구명(究明)코자 시험(試驗)하였던바 그 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1 생육형질(생육혈질)로서 분약수(分藥數), 엽수(葉數), 초장(草長), 엽견장(葉堅長) 관화율(關花率)은 2월(月)-3월(月) 비닐하우스피복구(被覆區)와 3월(月) 비닐하우스 피복구(被覆區)에서 점적관수(點滴灌水)로 재배(栽培)할때에 가장 양호(良好)하였다. 2. 채종량(採種量)의 구성형질(構成形質)로서 화륜경(花輪梗핵), 화경당(花梗當) 소화수(小花數), 임실율(稔實率)은 2월(月)-3월(月) 비닐하우스 피복구(被覆區)나 3월(月) 비닐하우스 피복구(被覆區)에서 점적관수(點滴灌水)로 재배(栽培)할때에 가장 양호(良好)하였기에 채종량(採種量)도 가장 많았다.

소규모 경작지에서 질소 변량시비가 벼 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Site-specific N Application on Rice Grain Yield and Quality in Small Size Paddy Field)

  • 논에 있어서 정밀농업시 변량시비가 벼 생육에 미치는 기초자료를 얻기 위하여 토양 및 생육정보를 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 시험전 토양의 변이계수는 EC, 유기물, 전질소, 유효인산 및 칼리는 $11.63{\sim}52.03%$로 10% 이상의 큰 변이를 보였으나 pH는 각각 $1.96{\sim}4.9%$로 적었다. 2. 생육중의 경수는 10%이상의 변이를 보였으나 초장, 엽색 및 쌀수량, 현미중 단백질은 10%이하의 변이를 보였다. 변량시비에 의하여 변이계수가 쌀수량은 8.06%에서 5.22% 및 5.81%로, 현미중 단백질 함량은 4.06%에서 3.40%로 낮아졌다. 3. 공간구조의 강약을 보여주는 Q값은 시험전 토양의 pH, 전질소함량, 유효인산 및 칼리함량은 0.60이상으로 공간의존성이 강하였으며, 엽색, 초장, 쌀수량 및 현미중 단백질함량 등도 0.50이상으로 공간의존성이 강하였으나 유수 형성기 경수는 0.22로 공간 의존성이 약했다. 4. 공간거리를 나타내는 공간의존 거리는 현미중 단백질 함량을 제외하고는 20 m 이상의 공간의존성이 있었다. 5. 시험전 토양의 pH, $SiO_{2}$ 및 초장, 엽색은 기비와 정의 상관을 보였으나 O.M.은 부의상관을 보였다. 수비는 시험 전 토양중 EC, O.M. 및 토양 고저차와는 정의 상관을 보였으나 초장, 경수 및 엽색과는 부의상관을 보였다. 현미중 단백질 함량은 토양중 $SiO_{2}$ 및 엽색, 수량과는 정의 상관을 보였으나 토양중 O.M.과는 부의상관을 보였으며 쌀수량은 초장, 경수 및 엽색과는 정의상관을 토양중 PH와는 부의 상관을 보였다.
