  • In this paper, we consider the oscillation second order unstable neutral difference equations with continuous arguments $\Delta^2_{/tau}(\chi(t)-p\chi(t-\sigma))=f(t,\chi(g(t)))$ and obtain some criteria for the bounded solutions of this equation to be oscillatory.

  • Some Riccati type difference inequalities are established for the second-order nonlinear difference equations with negative neutral term $\Delta$(a(n)$\Delta$(x(n) - px(n-$\tau$))) + f(n, x($\sigma$(n))) = 0 using these inequalities we obtain some oscillation criteria for the above equation.

  • In this paper, a quasilinear second-order system with periodic boundary conditions is studied. By the least action principle and classical theorems of variational calculus, existence results of periodic solutions are obtained.

  • To the best of our knowledge, it would probably be the first time in the literature that we clarify the relationship between Yamada's method and viscosity iteration correctly. We design iterative methods based on the hybrid steepest descent algorithms for solving variational inclusions, equilibrium problems. Our results unify, extend and improve the corresponding results given by many others.

  • The alignment property of liquid crystals on the two-easy axes substrate is investigated. The two-easy axes substrate frustrates the orientation of the LCs next to the substrate, and hence influences the birefringence of the LC cell. Experimental findings reveal that the ratio of the rubbing strengths in the different rubbing directions and the cell thickness substantially influence the birefringence of the LC cell. The surface anchoring energetic competition between the different rubbing directions contributes to the observed results.
