  • The objective of this study is developing an instrument for investigating views of the respondents on nature of science(NOS) by using experienced scientific knowledge, atomic model. It consists of total six questions and 36 detail items, and each question is reflected the aspects of different NOS which are 'recognition on the model', 'tentativeness of scientific knowledge', 'subjectivity in science', 'use of inference and imagination', 'myths of the scientific method', and 'comparison between science and art'. Particularly, 'comparison between science and art' is addressed almost for the first time in this questionnaire. In the class environment almost not to teach nature of science linking with concrete scientific knowledge, to inquire how the students recognize nature of science, relating to experienced scientific knowledge through this questionnaire will give the data of scientific knowledge based recognition on the nature of science and an important implication for nature of science teaching with concrete scientific knowledge. Developing processes have gone through four steps. In first step, we chose aspects of NOS and developed questions and details. In second step, we tested the draft into fifteen science teachers and, reflecting their opinions, corrected the form and contents of questionnaires. In third step, we tested the questionnaire included writing section for expressing thoughts of the respondents into 55 students in science high school and checked index of coincidence between Likert and open-ended responses which shows 88.2% degree of consensus. Furthermore, to identify the feature of using concrete scientific knowledge we applied this and views on science and education questionnaires together into six university students. We performed final test to 68 university students and measured Cronbach's, and ultimately completed final questionnaire in last step.

  • This study prepared functional oyster hydrolysates using two-step enzymatic hydrolysis and investigated their functional properties. To prepare two-step enzymatic hydrolysates (TSEH), oysters were hydrolyzed using 1% Protamex (PR) at $40^{\circ}C$ and pH 6.0 for 1 hr before sequential treatment with one of the following enzymes for 1 hr: Alcalase (AL), Flavourzyme (FL), Neutrase (NE), pepsin (PE), and trypsin (TR). The PRAL, PRNE and PRTR hydrolysates had significantly greater angiotensin I converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory activity than did PR and the other TSEHs. Only the antioxidant activity of the PRNE hydrolysate was significantly different (p<0.05), while none of the TSEHs had antimicrobial activity. The oyster hydrolysate prepared by sequential treatment with Protamex and Neutrase (PRNE) had the best ACE inhibitory activity and antioxidant activity, with $IC_{50}$ values of 0.40 and 0.94 mg/mL, respectively. The PRNE hydrolysate was processed through an ultrafiltration (UF) series with molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) membranes of 3, 5, 10, and 30 kDa, and the ACE inhibitory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial activities of the permeates were determined. The permeate through the 3-kDa MWCO membrane had greater ACE inhibitory activity and antioxidant activity than did the other PRNE permeates, with $IC_{50}$ values of 0.11 and 0.40 mg/mL, respectively.

  • The 3-step cell search has been considered for fast acquisition of the scrambling code unique to a cell in the W -CDMA system. In this paper, the performance of the cell search scheme is analyzed in Rayleigh fading channels. And the system parameters for cell search scheme and the design parameters for the receivers are examined. The probabilities of detection, miss and false alarm for each step are derived in closed forms based on the statistics of CDMA noncoherent demodulator output. Through the analysis, the effect of threshold setting and post detection integration for each step is investigated, and the optimal values of the power allocation for the synchronization channels are also considered. The number of post-detection integrations for each step is a design parameter for the receiver, and the optimum values may depend on not only the power allocation for each channel related to the cell search, but the false alarm penalty time. It is shown that optimal values could be determined through the analysis. Also, the cumulative probability distribution of the average cell search time is obtained.

  • 3D printing technology is an additive manufacturing technology produced through 3D scanning or modeling method. This technology can be produced in a short time without mold, which has recently been applied in earnest in various fields. In the medical field, 3D printing technology is used in various fields of radiology and radiation therapy, but related research is insufficient in the field of nuclear medicine. In this study, we compare the characteristics of traditional nuclear medicine phantom with 3D printing technology and evaluate its applicability in clinical trials. We manufactured the same size phantom of poly methyl meta acrylate(PMMA) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene(ABS) based on the aluminum step wedge. We used BrightView XCT(Philips Health Care, Cleveland, USA) SPECT/CT. We acquired 60 min list mode for Aluminum, PMMA and ABS phantoms using Rectangular Flood Phantom (Biodex, New York, USA) 99mTcO4 3 mCi(111 MBq), 6 mCi (222MBq) and 57Co Flood phantom(adq, New Hampshire, USA). For the analysis of acquired images, the region of interest(ROI) were drawn and evaluated step by step for each phantom. Depending on the type of radioisotope and radiation dose, the counts of the ABS phantom was similar to that of the PMMA phantom. And as the step thickness increased, the counts decreased linearly. When comparing the linear attenuation coefficient of Aluminum, PMMA and ABS phantom, the linear attenuation coefficient of the aluminium phantom was higher than that of the others, and the PMMA and ABS phantom had similar the linear attenuation coefficient. Based on ABS phantom manufactured by 3D printing technology, as the thickness of the PMMA phantom increased, the counts and linear attenuation coefficient decreased linearly. It has been confirmed that ABS phantom is applicable in the clinical field of nuclear medicine. If the calibration factor is applied through further research, it is believed that practical application will be possible.

  • The treatment of patients with severe periodontitis should be proceeded step-bystep through an accurate diagnosis of each patients' individual tooth and with a strategic treatment plan. Implant-supported fixed prosthetic restoration has the advantage of high patient satisfaction and stable vertical dimension compared to the removable partial denture. However, multiple teeth defect areas lacking hard tissue may be disadvantageous in aesthetic failure and longer treatment time. In addition, it takes a certain period of time to manufacture and install a conventional fixed prosthesis, and during this process, the provisional prosthesis must satisfy the mechanical, biological, and aesthetic requirements of teeth. The purpose of this article is to describe the fabrication of implant-supported fixed prosthesis through a step-by-step approach in a partially edentulous patient.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the process of determining control in a situation where investors hold less than a majority of the voting rights of the investee through case. Design/methodology/approach - In this study, the various and complex considerations presented in K-IFRS 1110 'Consolidated Financial Statements' were systematically classified and stratified. Findings - First, the agreement to delegate voting rights does not necessarily have to be documented, but it can be said to be substantive rights right only if it is not of the nature that one party can discontinue at any time. Second, if it is clear that investors do not have power due to the relative size of voting rights and the degree of stock dispersion, there is no need to review the past shareholders' meeting resolutions and additional facts and circumstances. Research implications or Originality - This study expects to minimize errors in applying the standards by classifying and stratifying the various considerations presented in K-IFRS 1110 into first and subsequent considerations. In addition, it is expected to contribute to reducing practical confusion in determining control by presenting a step-by-step review through case on whether or not to have power to judge control when holding voting rights of less than a majority.

  • Multi-camera systems which integrate two or more low-cost digital cameras are adopted to reach higher ground coverage and improve the base-height ratio in low altitude remote sensing. To guarantee accurate multi-camera integration, the geometric relationship among cameras must be determined through platform calibration techniques. This paper proposed a combined two-step platform calibration method. In the first step, the static platform calibration was conducted based on the stable relative orientation constraint and convergent conditions among cameras in static environments. In the second step, a dynamic platform self-calibration approach was proposed based on not only tie points but also straight lines in order to correct the small change of the relative relationship among cameras during dynamic flight. Experiments based on the proposed two-step platform calibration method were carried out with terrestrial and aerial images from a multi-camera system combined with four consumer-grade digital cameras onboard an unmanned aerial vehicle. The experimental results have shown that the proposed platform calibration approach is able to compensate the varied relative relationship during flight, acquiring the mosaicing accuracy of virtual images smaller than 0.5pixel. The proposed approach can be extended for calibrating other low-cost multi-camera system without rigorously mechanical structure.

  • An ARX(Auto-Regressive eXogenous) modeling technique for vortex dynamics in the BFS(Backward Facing Step) flow field is proposed in this paper. In order for the modeling of the dynamics, the spatial and temporal modes are extracted through POD(Proper Orthogonal Decomposition) analysis. Determining the orders of the inputs and outputs for an ARX structure is carried out by the spectrum analysis and temporal mode analysis, respectively. The order of input delay terms is also determined by the flow velocity. Finally the coefficients of the ARX model are designed by using an artificial neural network.

  • Lightning and switching surges propagating through the grounding conductors lead to transient overvoltages, and electronic circuits in information technology systems are very susceptible to damage or malfunction from the electrical surges. Surge damages or malfunctions of electrical and electronic equipment may be caused by potential rises. To solve these problems, it is very important to evaluate the ground surface potential rises and hazardous voltages such as touch and step voltages at or near the grounding systems energized by electrical surges. In this paper, the performance of grounding systems against the surge current containing high frequency components on the basis of the actual-sized tests is presented. The ground surface potential rises and hazardous voltages depending on impulse currents for vertical or horizontal grounding electrodes are measured and analyzed. Also the touch and step voltages caused by the impulse currents are investigated. As a result, the ground surface potential rises, the touch and step voltages near the grounding electrodes are raised and the conventional grounding impedances are increased as the front time of the injected impulse currents is getting faster.
